It won't necessarily make games take longer to release. Early access games that are successful, generate funds and allow content creators to promote the game to get the hype up. The downside is if it has gamebreaking issues it becomes dead on arrival.
Games like cyberpunk and no man's sky were a couple exceptions of games that released in hell and somehow turned it around, but usually if the game starts bad, nobody will ever give it a second chance.
