- In this short video I will be showing you how to read manga. It’s easy to learn and it’s a lot of fun :)

Yep. I was reading it in the right page order, but was reading the dialogue backwards like I would English comics.

@@MrGulpin1 actually I never really thought of regularly reading manga. I bought it because I really enjoy Minako's character and wanted to read about her before she became involved with Sailor Moon. Of course, I might want to read other ones in the future, but we'll see.

I know! Not having a resolution to a story you've invested yourself into sucks. Definitely give it a try! Local libraries tend to have some manga you can try. If not, there are websites that host the chapters.

when i bought and sat down to read azumanga daihyo vol 1. it felt super wrong. just opening a book from the "back" felt so weird and then trying to read the first panels was super confusing i eventually got the hang of it, but it was so confusing.

Thanks for the help. I haven't read manga for so long and forgot how. So I checked to make sure I was reading it correctly and found out I was correct. Thanks for the help. Technically it just like our american comics only in reverse you could say.

@@MrGulpin1 Elfen Lied for now because the anime isn't very long and has a disturbing ending. But I heard the manga is longer. I usually don't read but considering how much I liked the anime i figured on reading the manga fr the beginning and see how it continues from where the anime stopped. Well the ending is a ending that makes people very curious on if Lucy is alive or dead. So I wanna find out by reading the manga.

I just began reading Berserk Deluxe Edition. I thought that I needed a refresher on how manga worked, but everything was as I thought. :)

Hey!! This video is very helpful but there’s one thing I’m confused about, do we start at the right of the book cover or the left??
Thank you. You will want to start manga from the right of the book cover, so the opposite of how most books in US and other countries are read. It will typically be the side that is the cover of the book and not the back part that has a summary of the book. Hope this helps.

Ok so... Does also reading manga means from backwards or just a normal book?
I`m starting with manga and to be honest i need a little bit of help.
So you will open the manga the other way. The cover of the manga volume is on the side that English books would consider the backside of the book, where it usually gives the barcode, summary of what the book is about, etc. Then when you open the manga volume you will read from right to left, right to left, so it is sort of a backwards z pattern as you go panel by panel. a lot of times the manga volume will have a diagram at the back of the book (what is normally the front of the book for English books) that will help give you an idea of the order to read each panel.
