Superb unique band, 2 wonderful records, they don't waste their time to come back because the musical industry is gone.Vintage band for few connoisseurs.
They should have been waaaaaay bigger than they were. I think they would have been if they came out in the early 90's when alt rock was exploding along side grunge. But the alt scene was already fading when they debuted. Such a great band.
I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR SEVENTEEN YEARS. I heard it on a plane, listening to their onboard radio show, in 2003, but they never actually named any of the tracks that played. The others I remember are Phlex by Blindspott and Strawberry Kisse by Nikki Webster
+Mohammad Farajullah It's from the Scottish band Del Amitri song "Don't Come Home Too Soon", to mark the Scottish football team's qualification for the 1998 World Cup in France. Since the Scottish team was not exactly famous for it's technical skills, "long shots" would be also an option to score. _"So long, go on and do your best, Let all friends have whiskey on it's breath, The world may not be shaking yet but you might prove them wrong, Even long shots make it"._ So the fact that the guys of "The Thrills" were also inferior to their opponents and the one lad scored out of the blue by...kicking the basketball, reminded me of the Del Amitri lyrics, that's all.
This band is too good to vanish... Come back Thrills!!!

Who is tool bent double to sing backing vocals. Talk about derivative.
Ssgnerd
Obviously addressed to Bill Gates.
Does the singer have a problem with his Mic stand? - the entire video he is adjusting it. Or just trying to look cool. But I do love the song.
VEVO you punks why you had to kill The Thrills 🤬
