Was over medicated with the injection of this drug. Sedated into oblivion, sleeping 12-15 hours a day. Dreams, so vivid, I didn't know whether I was asleep or awake. I would rather deal with occasional psychosis/mania and risk a psychotic break than be on this permanently. There's no quality of life, no motivation, just sleep your life away. I'm "lucky" in the sense my Schozoaffective Disorder is more on the mild side of severity though.
The psychiatrists that prescribe will give you a good viewpoint of it. This video is to highlight the things that psychiatrists don’t go into. If you what praise for a drug you can get it anywhere else. No matter the benifits of a drug, you need to hear out the side effects, because side effects can outweigh any benefit.
Witt-Doerring Psychiatry has one of the most important collection of mental health videos on the internet. The tardive risks are real. Even a 1:50 chance is way too high, let alone 1:20 which is more accurate. That means one person in the room is going to get it so look around? It’s going to be one of you. Personally, I wouldn’t want to watch my friend suffer even if it wasn’t me. I have had chronic akathisia for years and can tell you the risk is not worth it. Hell on earth.
@AnabelaDaCruz I think the clinical description would include lethargy and anhedonia. Pretty common phrases for basically anti dopaminergic drugs that prevent any enjoyment responses. Not judging. Just trying to share knowledge.
@thefarecom I hate to say it but there's very little awareness about the effect SSRI/SNRI can have. Best thing, like most long term drugs, is to gradually reduce dose to just the point you can tolerate. Long term, I wish I had a solution for you.
Virtually every psychiatric drug has a warning list 2 paragraphs long from akathisia to dementia. They have also all had some class action lawsuit (usually in the US.) If we were to avoid all modern medicine based on these warnings, we may as well go back to exorcisms and surgery with paid tickets for the public in operating theatres.
If we did go back at least it would be a step in the right direction. Thank you for your comment pointing out how terribly wrong the medical industry has been headed these past several decades. 👍
@nwicconsultants6640 I'm not trying to be sarcastic, advancement in any field has warnings but modern medicine is subject to such scrutiny there will always be a list of risks as long as your arm and everyone reacts differently. Some populations, such as those with Alzheimers or Lewy Body dementia, clearly shouldn't be given anti psychotic drugs injudiciously since they are frailer and have a condition that makes them more prone to side effects from the drugs mechanism. 2nd generation atypical antipsychotics were seen as a breakthrough since they allegedly had less effect on the D4 receptor but around the same time thioridazine (not Thorazine) was taken off the market because of risks to QT and other non typical contraction patterns. Modern medicines seem to be mostly about trying to find a benefit weighed against potential harms.
@nwicconsultants6640 the medical industry had made huge advances with immunotherapy and vaccinations. I'm glad I live in an era where modern medicine in the last century or so has created so many things like antibiotics or epilepsy medication that wasn't available even 20 years ago. I just don't want them to profiteer offf. That with unfair accessibility
Like I said I'm not trying to be sarcastic but I'm not clear what the point you're trying to make is? No sarcasm or any pisstaking. I just want your take. No agenda.

The cure is worse than the disease.
But but but. Then we can sell MORE cures. 🤔

Thank you for sharing very important information. Please keep posting more videos like this.
A lot on potential risks but very little on potential benefits… whats with that?
There aren't any.
The video is specifically about risks and side effects. If you want ‘benefits’ go to the drug company website.

Paliperidone is awful. I stopped living. I don’t have interest in anything anymore. It never took away psychosis either.

@aj2080xy6 or is it just money and control when im sure most people would rather just never be put on this 'medicine'.

As if they have a choice about it. Traitor.
@@grobo503 invega is always forced
They do . the same life prior to the drug. Look up azt sheep. A placebo if even that isn't worth Dying for
Most people getting Invega injections are on treatment orders. They don't have a choice.
