Yeah I prefer the bayverse over the reboot.
The only mid bayverse movie is the last knight

It’s crazy that a lot of people hated on Michael bays films but never payed attention to all the work dedication and time and just how hardcore they went into making these movies as good as they can possibly be without anyone getting hurt, and people still didn’t think it was good enough. I’m annoyed cause I really really loved the Michael bay films and I thought they were the true meaning of transformers and now all the other transformer movies that came out that aren’t made by Michael bay are so unenjoyable. I hope he at least makes one more movie that has to do with transformers.

I can only agree with you 90%, although I also think that the enormous amount of work that goes into it should be really appreciated.
But I have to say, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you don't enjoy these movies, then you just don't enjoy these movies.
You can try as hard as you like. In the end, only the result counts.
I mean if I get a 5 in an exam (equivalent to an F), I can't tell the teacher, “But, I wrote so many words”, cuz it has to be the RIGHTwords and it doesn't matter how difficult it was for me personally to write that.
For example: I personally find high jump hard, so should I tell the people who are judging me that I deserve extra points because I have to work harder?
Although the others jumped 5 to 10 centimeters higher (corresponds to approximately 1.9 to 4 inches). And my explanation is: "But that's John. It's easy for him to jump that high!"
I like Michael Bay and his directing style. But I have to be honest and say that his films are often much too long (at least for these plots).
[As for the alleged s*xism and racism, that's a different story. But I think that's also a double standard in places.]
I live in Germany so the German dub can save a lot but I still have trouble recommending these films to other people, especially if they are also film fans.

@@YEOsCanal My answer is not about Michael Bay, but about your analogy. It's like yes and no at the same time. There are, it seems to me, two opposing opinions on this matter in the world, and I find the arguments on both sides quite convincing, based in part on many historical examples and examples from my personal life and the life of my family. If you worked very, very hard, but still lost a couple of points to another person, do you deserve to win? Let's look at it this way. Let's imagine that you have to work two jobs, take care of a sick mother and younger brother, walk to school from a village 20 km away. You also don't have enough to eat, hardly sleep. On the other hand, we have a winner who comes from a rich family and has never faced any problems in his life. In my worldview and in the worldview of a very large number of scientists, the first person deserves to win much more, i.e. if we translate this into real things, then this person deserves to enter Harvard much more than the second. Your position, as it seemed to me, is one of the absolutist. You believe that the absolute value of victory is meaningful, and not the efforts made. To some extent, I agree, but in my example I am not saying that one is dumber than the other, but that the other had all the opportunities and he used them, and the other had no opportunities at all, but he still held his own. Once upon a time in my country and in your country, I assume that you are from the USA, certain categories of people were not given any chances. My uncle, for example, had to become a chess champion at the age of 7, solve all the math and physics problems according to the university program, learn all the tables and constants by heart, so that he would have the same chance to enter a university (institute, college) as whites in my country. That is, his level was many times higher, which barely compensated for his origin and skin color. And this has happened and is happening in many places on this planet, including the USA. When I was a student, I was regularly taken to the police station to find out my identity and legality of being in the country, including before an exam right before the university where I studied. Of all the students, they always chose only non-whites and took me to the police station. Once I was taken from my home because a neighbor said that a suspicious non-white person lived in my apartment. This was the night before the exam in neuropsychology. Since I was renting an apartment 40 minutes away from the city where I studied, and the nearest police station was in another town, and there is no public transportation at night, I had to walk back along the railroad tracks, since this was the only road I knew. Do you think it was easier for me to study than for my white classmates?

Explosions were the main goal and a good script was lacking.
