One of the best fights in Transformers.
Agreed 100%
THE best fight

One of the best fights.
The CGI on these is absolutely timeless. This has been said countless times before, but it REALLY deserves to get nailed down. The work these guys put in is absolutely insane. To this day, this still looks better than most of current movies' VFX

Thats meme worthy

Bayversere always cooked with the CGI/Vfx
Transformers 2 legit had the best fight scenes in the entire movie franchise
Preach
Mission city was rad 🙈
While Bay might be lacking in the writing department, he is usually never lacking in the VFX department.
Seriously, while he may be bad at writing, he _knows_ how to film and will pull all the stops to make every effect look like a spectacle, whether that be using practical effects or taking VFX teams like Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) to their absolute limits.
Bay didn't write the Transformers films tho but yeah, it's same reason Steven Spielberg doesn't write all of his films either X3
They're both visual storytellers more than they are coherent writers (they know that ofc), and that's not a bad thing as long as ya have good writers filling that spot :D
That's why I hate people shitting on the movies because they are dumb. Up until 4 you felt all the studios care has been put into the spectacle, YOU KNOW THE THING WE PAID FOR
"It's sad that Steve Jobs died of ligma"
"Who the hell is Steve Jobs"
"Ligma balls" 3:09
The CGI in these movies were absolutely amazing. I wish a lot of the movies that have come out in recent years have this type of CGI

I was literally searching for a video like this yesterday
Wow imagine searching for a video and finding it
Cool
@@duncanantern7377 Didnt search for it, it came in my recommendations. I was searching for imax 70mm behind the scenes but could barely find any.
こういうゆうの見ると本当に涙が出てしまう
名作を作ってくれた製作陣に感謝
This was the second movie to use 70mm imax film cameras for a motion picture. It was so difficult to film with, it turned Michael Bay off using it for any other movies. Rendering the effects in 4k was very time consuming difficult he said
Transformers: ROTF is the most underrated in the entire series.
I bet they ever go back and replay in theaters. Everyone will realize how great it is.
@@dariusjones6413I wish but the movie is so juvenile.
Yeah, so what that’s exactly what movie needs to succeed
its underrated cause it’s awful. I love these movies but the writing is terrible. Action can only make up so much for a really lackluster story
@@_-ghost-__4999 actually a lot of people like rotf now
One thing I noticed that made the cgi of the mid to late 2000s so much better than some of the stuff we see today is that they had those original plates of shot footage even if it’s just a blank environment with no actors they were still capturing real locations, real cars being flipped and crushed, real pyrotechnics all in that plate captured on beautiful IMAX. What this does is it forces the vfx team to adhere and respect the footage by matching and compositing the effects into the scene that’s been shot to create a very realistic and believable effect. The problem we have today is many big budget movies with tons of vfx not only have more vfx shots to make in quantity but more time is wasted on unnecessary last minute changes and nearly everything in some scenes is 100% cg which creates a higher sense of artificiality also often called “the uncanny valley” which is the feeling that something isn’t quite right even if it looks very good we know something is amiss.
You nailed the feeling we all had!
While the story lines weren't the best, terrible even! The CGI and action scenes never disappointed
Agreed.
The story was good
Masterpiece battle scene
Critics hated this film, but my wife and I loved it. The action was over the top.
''agile martial arts experts'' something that rise of the beasts did not understand, optimus in that movie didnt feel like he knew how to fight like he did in the bumblebee movie or even the bay films, still enjoy all the movies none the less
Yep exactly my thoughts and people acting like Bumblebe movie and rotb is somehow better than any Bayverse movie
Best fight scene in the whole bayverse series, I will die by that statement
I would dare say this is the greatest CGI fight scene of all time. but as for one of the best in the series I still get hung up on optimus' rage scene in dotm where he just goes 1 v all wether that is better than this.
This is proof to all the haters that Bay cares about his movies
Of course he cares, it's absurd to think he doesn't. He's just not that good at it, he only understands childish humor and explosions.
@@Salty_Balls There was not a single explosion in the forest battle
@@hob_channel mmk short bus. *everything* in that scene is an explosion The trees are exploding in the background, the fking *dirt* is exploding, and every time a robot touches another there's basically an explosion of sparks and...juices, not to mention Grindors head exploding as prime pulls it apart and Mega hollowing Prime out like he's Riley Reid on the set of a BlackedRaw movie.
@@hob_channeldoes prime getting stabbed count? 😭
@@Salty_Balls lmao what is this criticism any fighting movie would have that if it took place in a forest
2:00 DOTM Mudflap concept art on the right
Transformers in 4:3? Kinda reminds me of something. Regardless tho, this looks fucking sick in 4:3.
Where is the forest located?
1:05 bro how come this didn't have the weird spark that everyone made fun of lol it was in the corridor digital episode as well
0:43 Optimus's original death feels a lot more brutal
It’s the same death as the final product. It’s just animated slightly different with alternate camera shots.
@@SunlightGwynRight!? "Original" 😂
Dude, it's literally the same death
It's the same thing man
For those who wanted to see revenge of the fallen on DVD/Blu-ray just for the forest battle, I would highly recommend getting the "big screen edition", trust me when I say this, it is slightly better than the original. 🙂
The story may have been mid, but the action sequences were phenomenal 👌
They don't make them like this anymore.
everyone shitting on this movie but lets not forget that they pursue this project during the strike and somehow put more effort and love in the craft behind it compared to how visually souless and bland action blockbusters have become today.
This is why T2 is the best of them all...
Something about 70mm and 4:3 IMAX ratios that are just incredible
Many thrash Bay for his style of directing , but many admire Bay for his style of directing . People just focus on the former one and wouldn't actually realise how much details he puts into the scene.
Practical effects baby.
Yep, they could have used CG. But they decided to hire actual 60 ft tall robots.
@@PJmachine Frfr
Well, yes some minor casualties occurred while production, but they were minor.
still the best cgi in hollywood history
say what you want about the movies but there is absolutely no denying transformers CGI is probably some of the best we’ll see
(granted a lot of fight scenes just look like red and silver metal trying to mate with each other but still cool nonetheless)
Awesomeness and the forest battle is my favorite Transformers battle!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
CGI artists COOKED from the late 90s to the end of the 2010s. Nowdays cgi seems to have gone backwards.
So you tell me that trees who's "rammed" and revoked by starscream and companies are CGI too, along with mud in forest battle?
At least the VFX team seemed to have had a good time doing Transformers 2 despite the disaster that happened during production.
I always watch rotf just to go back to these scene
There’s a reason why those film are not only action movies, but spectacular action movies and that’s why Michael bay does so much views. He does takes this type of movie really seriously
“Is the future of our race not worth a single human life”
"You'll never stop at one. I'll take you all on!"
I dont believe it. its fake video. Optimus prime is so real
where can i watch the full version?
rise of the beasts and bumble bee could never 😂
Truly great scenes!
3:09 *dies from cringe*
Ngl really like the 70mm and 4:3 IMAX of this. Wouldn't mind seeing a TF movie in that format.
How it is posible to create such a great movie with incredible CGI and nowadays all we have is trash ?... This is proof that if you move forward in time it does not necessarily mean that you evolve ... I miss those years...
Why does it look better in 4:3 ratio
There are a lot of things wrong with ROTF. The forest battle is not one of them.
LET THEM COOK 🔥
Nowadays VFX is laaazy compared to 2000-2015 era
Get Fortress Maximus in a film!
Still some of my favorite movies till this day
This looks like it was so fun to make.
Incrível
0:28were i can find this deleted scene?
This aint deleted scene its early animation before they will release it as a Final Edit
"40 to 60 feet high" and none of the bots in this scene are even 40 feet tall💀
Demolishor lol
They did their jobs well for a movie done unwell.
This movie was amazing minus the humor what are u talking about
@@PoIarisPrime Not by popular consensus, it ain't.
@@wickdaline8668 Appeal to popularity. And no matter what, everyone's reasons usually consist of the humor. Y'all can't complain about the writing at all.
@@wickdaline8668 almost no one hates rotf anymore

It would be awesome if you guy's MADE A GUNDAM MOVIE LIVE ACTION that would be AWESOME 🔥
Crazy how much Bay asked of his VFX and SFX teams and how far he pushed them all the while he was failing miserably on his front.
Bay delivered on his front foot the first three films. Especially on the 2nd where he didn’t even have a script to work with due to the writers strike
