These new Touhou themes could not have come at such a better time for me. Going through a rough time right now but I know Touhou never ceases to make me happy
And my father has believed that Reimu is slowly becoming the human Bowser of the Touhou series where she will go exterminating innocent and wholesome youkai such as Aunn and Kyouko. Considering Reimu usually doesn't specify which youkai she's supposed to exterminate. By human Bowser, that's what he used to refer Shredder in the TMNT saturday morning cartoon. *flashbacks to the TMNT saturday morning cartoon episode called "Turtles, Turtles Everywhere"*
This really puts a smile on my face, the soundtrack of this game has been SO good so far, it makes a fun harmony between the gameplay and the ambience.
Well I have a bad new for you, in the Zun's comment on Marisa theme, he say that's a theme for her... "I think this song is suitable for any character while keeping Marisa's image." (I hope there will be 2 themes for her in the full game)

@@kagummi It's most likely they will have two themes, either that, or Reimu's & Marisa's trial themes will be repurposed as story mode themes only, sort of like in Tasofro games' trials (ULiL comes to my mind) they did that. Or, y'know, ZUN will only give them these themes. Which sucks, but oh well.
Oh my goodness this is such a pleasant theme with such an adorable title. Really gives a light feel that invokes the feeling of cruising along at a leisurely place. Love the repeating main motiff with the piano, it just hits the right spot

It’s like a combination of her previous two Phantasmagoria game themes. It has that upbeat, bold feel of Mystic Oriental Love Consultation and the calmer yet catchy piano from Spring Lane ~ Colorful Path.
This is good but ngl hope we'll get a solo theme for Reimu alongside this as well, it feels less important when the supposed theme for Reimu is also the generic early stage music.

Not seeing how this is dissappointing. All it's doing is showing a more joyful, chill side of Reimu no different than Spring Lane did back in PoFV. It's a banger too, so I'm not complaining lol. EDIT: Ok so Ive given it some thought, and I would like to say to the people who are mentioning "it sounds too much like a stage theme". Yeah that's probably the point lol. Like actually take a second to think about the gameplay if the phantasmagoria games....where are the boss fights? Like yeah, the final stage has the tone of a final boss fight but functionally....the entire game is composed of really long stages with multiple (admittedly frequent) midbosses. So, really, I think it fits that this sounds like a stage theme. Besides, as I already mentioned, it gives ZUN a chance to step back and compose a song exclusivrly for a _character_ , not for a characters boss fight. Feels more personal that way imo.
I actually really agree! I was just thinking the other day, the boss themes are often more memorable to me than the stage themes, if only because they're linked to the character and not the location. But the boss themes are also... well, boss themes. They have to be pretty intense. Touhou doesn't have so many lighthearted songs that are so directly linked to the characters, so it's nice to get more :)
Reimu's not getting another theme in the full version, and we don't need one. This theme is fine as it is, and I'll certainly take it over the fake leaks.

Sounds really safe even for ZUN, but decent nonetheless. Sounds more like an early stage theme than a character theme so I'm not sure about it being Reimu's theme, but wouldn't really be mad if it is. I really like the 1:54 and 2:40 sections.

Use lv1 more. There's also a bug where Marisa's lasers don't fire when they're supposed to, but I haven't run into it personally.
Marisa's lvl 1 is strong tho so definitely take advantage of that.
Also she doesn't have any bullet clearing tools along with laser bug.... so rip😂
She got bugs and all that but her enemy lasers are scary af
