That is the best decision you ever did in your entire life is to move yourself forward with your life boot camps going to teach you everything you need to know about getting up put your boots on and going through the day your day is going to come when you're putting your boots on yourself and making life for yourself
Getting out is one of the best decisions I’ve made man. You’re going to have SO MUCH MORE FREEDOM. Keep yourself busy man I still stumbled with depression and identity crises’. I’m so happy for you doing this man keep it up! INSPIRING.

I have been out 5 years. You will probably get depressed at first but it gets better. I don’t regret it, but there is a crisis of identity at first; it’s inevitable. Best of luck bro!

appreciate your service more than you know, your videos have given me a different look at the military and have made me 20 times more interested in it than I already was.
For you and everyone getting out, this is for you. Thank you very much for your service, you are amazing. Please keep in touch with others just like you, be they friends from your service days or other service members in your new home area. Keep in touch because you are going to go through some feelings that you might think are your's and your's alone, but they are not. Many of us go through many of the same feelings. Seek help long before you need it too, because you just might help someone who responds. Respect always.

This was my similar motivation when I got out of the USAF many years ago. I say, do it and do not look back! You've worked to help keep this country free, so it's time for you to enjoy your freedom.

Whether you stay or go is totally up to you, Your videos brought me and my son (also an MA at Point Loma) together and encouraged him to join the navy. You have been a positive influence on many and I give you all the credit for that accomplishment. That being said, situations and circumstances change quickly, I got out and a really bad situation took everything away and I have been rebuilding since. So many I served with retired and now they are the ones able to be there and help out my son with the stability that the retirement gives. I look back on the year I would have retired and kicked myself. I am now making less then I made 25 years ago in this economy with no retirement and the benefits that come with it. Lastly, I know everyone changes however in my view you have done a lot of changing this last year, some of it has been concerning to put it mildly. A boatswain mate would say ya done gone Hollywood! but what I really mean is in the beginning I could see how much enjoyment you got out of helping others and now at times it comes across that this is simply you promoting you and using whatever tool you need to get a desired outcome (which is very common in todays society,). Not so much about helping inspire others and that is a little sad.

I think it great that you have options after the military. Not many have those options. Truly blessed. Now I'm retired (US Navy) and I just want to share with you what retirement means to me. It's not sitting home on my but doing nothing. It's me sitting on my but working on my second career as an Analyst. I think there is something special about what TH-cam is offering people these days. I wish it was something on my radar at the end of my career. Nevertheless, it does matter what others may say about your plans for the rest of your life... it is yours, not theirs. Just keep grinding and pushing. You have been through enough in your time in the Navy that you know when its time to go. I felt it in my 15th year and decided to ride it out for the pension. Again be great and I'll be looking forward to what you have next...in 7 months lol. Peace!

Army EOD captain 6 years active duty, I hang it up on Friday after 1 combat deployment and numerous other trips across the world. Law school in the fall, use your benefits.

God is the way thank you, he loves his job but he said to me before he has served his country, our flag and the American people for a long time, now once his time is served , he wants to be a farmer lol. He is up for chief. He told me the other day that he had one of the hardest test coming up to make chief. I am praying he gets it. He is so determined and wants it so bad.

You have great ideas to make a living. I live near a veterans hospital. I have seen some Vets at work that have back pain out of the service and living with the pain at too young of age. The mental damage of war as well. Just remember them when you get out. You have a great skill set and a great gf .

I did 6 years in the Air Force and it flew right on by. Graduated with a bachelors degree now. Forever grateful for Post 9/11. They gave me the stepping stool to take off in my career. Best of luck to you man!
