100% it was them slapping Bandai in the face saying, "let us develop another Gundam game. It will be 10000× more successful then the crap you are pushing out" Like can you image a Gun breaker game with Fromsoft's gameplay??? So damn good
Im obsessed with this game purely because of how it plays and we haven't had a game like this in a long time. It truly feels like Armored core but also what a Gundam game should've always been Also love the gundam style builds you made
I think someone titled their review "The Best Gundam Game We'll Ever Get" and they're probably right. Aside from AC6 being literally full of Gundam references, it's also literally the most solid-playing mecha game to come out in over a decade. I'm not saying a good Gundam game will never happen... but I am saying that good Gundam game will probably be an Armored Core mod.
MIA gave me a bit of a Gundam feel like you know when there like a slaughter like orb vs the feds or the beginning and end of battle of Torrington from unicorn
I feel like most of the missions give you some vibe of Gundam one way or another. But my fave HAS to be Destroy the Spaceport or ANY mission where you encounter Nightfall.
The duel between steel haze ortus, rusty was legit programmed to assault boost towards you first thing into the fight to make it more anime

Karmen Line was exactly the same as the Bahram fleet mission in Zone of the Enders: the 2nd Runner where you have to use the Vector Cannon. I absolutely loved that mission and loved the Karmen Line mission! It was a real show of an ACs strength in battle. Downing that many PCA battleships by yourself in such a short space of time was just crazy!
If anything, it's all three of the final battles of each playthrough, my favorite being the final battle with Iguazu in the Alea Iacta Est ending where I settle the score between me and a long time rival whom I've been quite the thorn on his side for too long and he got some massive upgrades. A 2nd favorite would be the final fight with Ayre, which felt more tragic than anything, but still you're determined to see the mission through to the end, just like a proper Gundam final battle should feel.
For me, it was destroy the strider. You want more gundam? What can be more Gundam than blowing up an enemy Mobile armor 5 times larger than your Mech? Take That Big Zam! Ha!!
@@Mr.Possums i guess that depends on how simmy you like your vehicle sims. On a 1-10 scale, SW Rogue Squadron or Star Fox is 1, and MS Flight Sim is 10, AC6 is about 4, MW5 is about 8ish.
My Top 5 Gundam missions would be as follows: (SPOILERS UNMARKED) 5) Breach the Karman Line - Enough said. Adding on that you fight what amounts to a Gundam after you've had your fun trashing the enemy fleet. 4) Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection - Ignoring the definitely-not-ALLMIND ally that is Kate Markson, the 3v2 against the Cataphract and Ekdromoi and their pilots' cries of "It really is Raven!" give off the vibe of being a Gundam pilot striking fear into the enemy. 3) Intercept the Redguns - Same explanations as yours, but the lady in my head instead told me to "Build the Freedom!", cutting a bloody path through hordes of grunts and their ace commander at the end is peak Gundam. 2) Bring Down the Xylem - The final battle against Walter evokes the tragedy of a Gundam fight against a mentor, friend, former ally, etc. combined with the atmosphere of the final battle of CCA, with the Xylem falling evoking the feel of Axis. 1) MIA - Kill 'em All Tomino moment. Where the human characters just start dying left and right, everything's on fire and everyone is terrified, and you even lend a hand to two of the deaths, Pater and G6. This is basically a playable Zeta/Victory Gundam episode. Honorable mentions: Attack the Watchpoint - Fighting Sulla felt like fighting the archetypical rival ace pilot, and then you fight what amounts to a mobile armor after. (Char then followed by Lalah, anyone?) Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech - This gives the energy of old Gundam where the enemy aces get cocky with their next-gen units and you rock up and say "Bitch, I pilot a Gundam" and then slap them around silly. Eliminate V.VII - Mostly for the pre-Swinburne fight, but the stealthing around forcing me to adopt guerilla assassination tactics reminded me of 08th MS Team, only this time I'm the ace in a Gouf. Defend the Old Spaceport - The 1v1 with the real Raven gave me the feel of fighting the Char clone of the series. A rival that's better and faster than you, using what amounts to a grunt unit (his unit is one step removed from your default LOADER 4) and is more than capable of kicking your shiny chrome ass with it. Defend the Dam Complex was fun, more than the 1v1 with Raven in fact, but the addition of King and Chartreuse diminished the effect of fighting the rival for me.
Funny I also did gundam colors but instead of blue red and yellow I did Orange, purple and neon green, sort of a combo of a mainly white gundam but with Evangelion eva-01 colors
@@Mr.PossumsBoth count in how you look at them. FOR he's playing the Gundam Hero to our Villain as were prearring to light the fires which will scorch the galaxy beyond Rubicon. In LOR, Rusty's coming in as the hero to fight alongside us and that feels like the proper reveal of his new AC and true colors being bared for all to see. Steel Haze Ortus has a kind of Gundam design to it when you get a solid look at it. Then he goes off and fights the Arqebus fleet while we tear apart Snail and his cronies.
Fighting the worm gave me calamity weapon vibes, from iron blooded orphans. And in speedy mechs you feel like Mikazuki
Which reminds me, haven't started S2 yet. Thank you! 😂
@@Mr.Possums ooofff sorry for that little spoiler. I don't remember if calamity weapons were shown in s1 😅
All of the C-weapons kind of feel like the Mobile Armors from iron blooded orphans
Karman Line is peak Gundam experience! I replayed it multiple times it's so fun!
Sign up for that Gundam Rehab with me then!

The icing on the cake was a literal Gundam showing up and you both have infinite boost.

One of the designers for the AC parts in the game also designed a lot of Mobile Suits for the Gundam franchise
Eliminate G1 Michigan...
You vs 60 MT, you're just screaming: "BRING ME ANOTHER!"
MIA gave me a bit of a Gundam feel like you know when there like a slaughter like orb vs the feds or the beginning and end of battle of Torrington from unicorn
Karman Line feels like the devs just went up to you and said "Here you go you get to be Char for the day, have fun....oh btw Rusty is your Amuro!"

The Gundam game that isn't a Gundam game 😭

Probably because all the good gundam games stay on PlayStation.
The whole fucking game felt like I was a Gundam ahahah, best mecha game ever!
Facts. It's the "Not a gundam game-gundam game". 😆
For me, it was destroy the strider. You want more gundam? What can be more Gundam than blowing up an enemy Mobile armor 5 times larger than your Mech?

AC6 is the one of the two best Mech games in ten years. Sadly there's only been two mech games in ten years, the other been Mech Warrior 5.
Been meaning to try that for a while now. Any good?

Haven't had a good Gundam game in a while? I mean, I GUESS Gundam Breaker 3 came out a while ago...
Aye that was loads of fun. Came out a while while though. And New Breaker isn't as fun/appealing for me sadly

It's a Gundam!
The only reason why I bought the game is because I like gundam if anything we need more gundam guns
Bring down the xylem is pretty gundam jsut due to rusty coming in with his new ac while you tag team Arqebus together
Was that Bring Down the Xylem or the Drive Block? But yeah I love that!
