i found out it's the gear level. before turning the car off, make sure you push it all the way to the back. Then turn off the ignition, it should go away ONLY if from the message board

I dont know if still going to help but after you press the pedal you have to turn the switch off and remove the key for 10sec and after that turn the vehicle on and the change oil light will not flash

Idk I have a 1999 gmc Sierra 1500 with the 4.3 liter I just did an oil change 2 weekends ago and change oil light just came on I’ve tried this multiple times and the light do go off but when I crank truck the light comes on for a few seconds then goes away it’s never came on when just cranking before
