The first quarter/semester of college is fun because you get to meet new people, and people expect you to be still figuring out school/life so you have more leeway. Enjoy!
If you truly want to go to the college speak with a freshman college advisor for high schoolers. Going to the events like tours and socials held for potential freshman helps because when you apply to contact the person saying you've completed your application. That's one tip I used when applying to my school going to events my college held from the time I was a freshman to graduation really helped my application. The reason why is you never know who can be the tipping vote for you to get into the school. The essay is the most important thing you can offer them. I've seen kids have perfect SAT and grades but be rejected from a top school because they were not involved in the school and outside of school. The essays were just highlighting things they've done but did not offer depth on their character development. Shoot for a 3.5 or above for any school if you can if not then SAT 1200 will help.
