    So good to see old yellow finally back in the sky. Flash from the past brother so happy she still flys good

    I put the fms pro 1900kv 70mm fan with ceramic bearings in my freewing yak130, hawk and su35, foam mods are fiddly but worth doing., I used an old fashioned razor blade taped to a slice of an old 70mmfan shell to help with the cutting out of the curve to help the unit sit right. The 1900kv units are super smooth 2.7g static thrust and very efficient.

    Loved the nice scale landings. Looks like the Boozers dolled her up a little for you too. Can't wait to see the hook in action. Keep up the great work.

    Ryan...She’s beautify scale👊. Love the leading edge flaps (or slats)- an extremely rare feature on any RC aircraft. That is designed to make the plane fly more stable at slow speeds. I have many years as a mechanic rigging that part of an aircraft on full scale military aircraft. I really didn’t mind seeing this one fly slow and low. Great job Boozers on the weathering and Papa dots! 👍👍😊

      I retired in '18 after 40 years as a licensed A&P,no military,but rigged slats on Bombardier Regional jets,while working at Bombardier/Learjet in Wichita,Ks.

      @@jettechdonatkins Sweet! Yeah -I’m a lincensd A & P. I spent 19 years of my aviation career primary on military KC 10 , C-130, C-5M and P-3B,C, & EP-3E. Also touched in between on various civilian aircraft: DC 10, DC-9, DC-8, 727, and the G-5. I worked as a civilian for Lockheed at 1 location for over 33 years now. My last 14 to current - I been an Aircraft Planner (office job). I put work packages together for new contracts and provide them to the mechanic - like my former self in the production floor. 👍. Thank you for your service as well as a civilian. Hope your retirement is grand. 😉

    Great looking plane and video. I am not as familiar with this plane, it looked heavy in flight but the slow flight was excellent! I can easily see you catching a wire with that! The papa dots and weathering were excellent and Adam did a great job on the camera! It was nice to see the basic mechanics of the fan change over at the end.

    Great video Ryan this video really made me fall in love with the T45 again.. I crashed mine late last year on take off it would not climb and went into the trees… I’ve just bought another one in a deal with the battery brand new for like half the price of the plane it self .. my question is do u have a video on how u did your tail hook?

    The landing approaches looked particularly scale like, more so than the average foamy. How much of that was the T45, vs the pilot, I wonder. If the T45, i want one.

    I have loved this edf since watching Chris Callahan's T- 45 videos.Are the FMS units a lot better than the new inrunner 90's that MRC is using in some of their jets? Thanks for the great video Ryan!!

    • @PilotRyanMedia
      @PilotRyanMedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I got this it was ARF plus empty, I had a FMS unit sitting around. At the time the FMS unit beat the old Freewing units. If I were doing it again I’d go with the Freewing stuff, drop in fit

    You'll definitely need to start thinking about cutting a piece of that Barn off, so it won't be in the middle of your flight line or moving your runway farther up and away from that Barn! (Sarcasm intended)
    I wonder how many times have you guys crashed into that Barn? 🤔...

    I just bought the Freewing F-18 90mm and I don't know which EDF unit to buy..... I had issues with my FMS EDF unit (would always overheat and stop working mid flight,) put a bad feeling in my soul.... What's a perfect EDF unit for the Freewing F-18??

    • @jsean13
      @jsean13 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, I have the 80mm 1900kv Freewing EDF.... was wondering if that's a good idea?

    • @PilotRyanMedia

      I’d consider the new Freewing 90mm units

      Get the new 1500kv FMS 8s fan it will give lots of power, around $110 from banggood. Sweet system!

  • @megabike67
    @megabike67 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Way under powered, run the FMS 8S setup, and it will actually fly well👍
