      Both fun! Viper 90 is more agility. T45 more scale and heavier.

    Need to use slats on this (esp. for landing). Won't feel nose heavy with center of lift remaining stable!

    Hey BD thanks for the awesome content, I wanted to ask you why does the model look yellow? Is it the sun or something? Thanks

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Carlos! Older Freewing models have a issue of white yellowing. New models i dont think are as much of a problem.However use Minwax Polycrylic to give a coat and protect from happening.

    BD how much elev mix of down you add.
    Have one about 6 flights now noticed right before it getting to land the nose drops so I figured I’ll slide the battery back smug more ,
    Using nx-10 or 1x-14 both will work . I did set the As3x
    110/180/180 work great I had to dial back ail cause in a full deflection it lightly shook

    I only fly FPV...Coming from my first the L-39 I'm thinking of getting the T-45 Have you tried the air brake how do you like it?

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the airbrake after landing.Plane slows down enough with flaps.I deployed on runway in this video at the end and you can see it slows down noticeable faster...

  • @M4rkmcc21
    @M4rkmcc21 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Going to fit a 6ch RX in this 8s version and leave the airbreak redundant. Didnt look like u needed it there either. Is it worth buying a more expensive 8ch RX so I can make use of the air brake? Loved that landing and making use of the suspension

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct, comes in fine without airbrake and slats. I did use the airbrake once i got on the ground to slow down rollout. You can see it deploy in video. 8ch not much more than 6 and you will have the option.
      I agree that suspension works nice on this heavy bird :)

      @@BDTennessee cheers B. Is it not something you'd consider to deploy whilst in flight to slow her down?

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@M4rkmcc21 yes sir,that would be good as well. After flying this jet more,i got to come in even slower. I also run more flaps then called for in book.

    Hey BD, a buddy has this V1 plane and wants to sell it. He's stripped off the leading edge and air brakes to try and reduce some weight. I'm curious as what you think of this plane after a year of having it. (based on this video is 11months old...). He's offering it for a great price, but I sure would like that Avanti V2... Let me know some pros and cons of it.. Thanks, Will

    • @BDTennessee
      @BDTennessee  ปีที่แล้ว

      I got plenty of flights to give some feedback.Sold this one long time ago and now i have a v2 ill be doing maiden soon...
      T45 v1 flies heavy but handles the wind without a gyro (stable design). Need to be careful in high bank through a turn and applying alot of elevator. Keep the plane moving and power management. When it slows down, take some power/battery to get it going again. Suspension is good and dual nose wheel helps takeoff and roll out...

    • @SteffenRC
      @SteffenRC ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BDTennessee thanks BD. Appreciate the info. I think I’m gonna get it due to the great price and it will be fun to learn to fly a heavy EDF on this one. The owner dropped some weight by removing the air brakes and front slat. Looking forward to your review of the V2…
