At the behest of a close friend many years ago, I agreed to go to a lecture of two hours! My response was_ "Not sure I could sit for two hours and listen to anything, or, anyone." of course, I went because she showed me one picture of some brothers sharing a binocular wrapped around his neck, yet, being used by the younger brother. Still not sure why it touched my artistic mind, but I agreed to go. After the first two hours of this lecture, first suggested, the speaker was asking the small audience if he should stop... I remember one time on acid at a beautiful scenic park, I told my friend, "Acid lets you see things you are trained your whole life not to see, and, in disbelief you ask yourself, 'Has that always been there?' and it was there the whole time, staring you in the face. You just never looked that way." I was amazed that Dennis said almost the exact same thing on this podcast. There is massive potential in these plants and chemicals.
Check out the first podcast Joe did with Dennis because he said something similar but with a better description. I believe it was near the end of the podcast
One of the things that I don't like when Joe talks about psychedelics, is that he phrases his recommendations and the overall experience as one that everyone needs and should have. I have personally done psilocybin and loved the experience. The first time my friend did it, he became depersonalized for a month after the bad trip it gave him. I believe that it's not something everyone needs to do or should do. Just cause it worked for me, doesn't mean it works for everyone.
WhatAHero Exactly one persons medicine is another persons poison, apart from basic nutrition there isn't anything thats universally good for all people
How do you know the negative outcome was the result of the drug and not the result of something else that was done to him, or that he did to himself before taking the drug? In general it seems that DMT, mushrooms, LSD and even pot acts as a litmus test for people's overall psychological/ spiritual/ energetic wellbeing. If a man visits a hospital and emerges with the news he has cancer he is going to feel absolutely wretched, and perhaps even suicidal. His ego will be devastated. Does that mean we should classify hospitals as 'not working' for people like him? The only people who find hospitals a pleasant place to visit are people who are told they have nothing wrong with them.
Completetly agree. I've never done anything of the sort (well a small one while eating weed brownies) And I know my own psychology and understand that I wouldnt do well with such an experience as I've suppressed a lot of bad memories and not dealt with emotions like most have. So Joe speaking so highly of it as if it's a must have for everyone and its great..is simply not true. In fact a lot of my friends who've done it have mentioned how badly they felt after. A friend of mine became incredibly shy and couldn't even leave his home. Yet Joe rarely makes a point of mentioning that.
I was laying down the same things in the 60's what happened oh I know the government declared war on our generation then most of us were swallowed by the machine. My hope is I hope it turns out different this time. I'm 70 and 5.8grms on last New Year looking forward to the new year.
"Chaos is our friend." In these times, it is. Life is a balance between order and chaos. The time before humanity is pure chaos, but the fascist regime is pure order. When we emerged from the jungle and pure chaos, order was our friend. Eventually we achieved balance, but we keep propogating order and now we're departing from balance. If we continue plummeting toward pure order, we'll wake up in an authoritarian world. Chaos is our friend.
my book "True Hallucinations and The Archaic Revival " just got delivered to me today great to be able to listen to this podcast before i start it! love Dennis Mckenna and his departed brother Terence,I am grateful for these minds having touched so many others
i've heard him talk several times before... but it wasn't until THIS show that i HEARD his brother's voice/mannerisms/cadence/etc... now i cannot unhear it... don't want to either
McKenna and his brother will always be legends, and without a doubt two of the most important souls in the growth and expansion of psychedelic culture and open mindedness🌱✌️❤️
Please please please!!!!! Have Dennis on with Hamilton Morris!!! Not just to have a debate on "drugs", but to also give both sides of the psychedelic aspect of plants...I GUARANTEE that it would be you highest downloaded/watched episode EVER!!!!!
Great Episode. Shout out to Ari for being so open about depression. We need more people to be as transparent as him when it comes to their individual experience.
Dennis, we owe you a lot for your life's work. I would have never been open to yours & Terrence's videos had I not deemed you rational on this very video, you were the spark to open my eyes. Thank you
This podcast stirred some old memories. I rummaged around and found an old book I bought about 45 years ago. The authors were O.T. Oss and O.N. Oeric . After about 1 minute of research, I found the true names of these authors were actually Terrence and Dennis McKenna. An old mystery solved!
McKennas comment about the academy brought tears to my eyes...its like I finally figured out what I want to study in college. I'm 30...does the GI bill cover his academy?
When I was 16 my entire family was moving from rural Northern California or Oregon and we collectively saw a UFO together. Totally insane sight, no idea what it was, made no sound and moved in incredibly odd ways and insanely fast. None of us were on drugs.. I was with my parents and a kid, literally packing up to move at nighttime. Talked about it together the whole ride to Oregon and to this day we all remember it and have no clue what it was. POINT BEING: I would probably never have believed this shit was possible if I hadn't seen it myself with three other witnesses. It sucks that there is literally no way to convince someone you saw such a thing. Which is why I almost never talk about it!
Dave Z no dude, I don’t care about that at all. Do you not see all the shit people in the comments? Having a different opinion isn’t a valid reason for being shitty to people.
Dave Z You made this assumption that you know my politics and ideas in your own fucking head? Don’t be stubborn, you don’t know everything. Why get triggered over someone you even don’t know nothing about? Don’t be a dummy. Go smoke weed/ work out or something and forget about me. 😘 ya too tense!
Dave Z ok can’t get through you. Don’t know who hurt you, but I love you. ✌🏼 your assumptions are causing you stress for no reason. Re read your comments later and see if you still feel the same way. I’m not even trying to be mean to you, but you don’t see that.
one of my favorite guests, along with graham hancock/randall carlson/robert shoch/john anthony west and so on. i always watch this podcast when there's some form of science involved, although i will say i'd love to see more musicians on. james hetfield and billy corgan were great podcasts as well.
I think that Academy sounds amazing! How can I stay in the know about that? I've been intrigued on multiple talks I've heard, between you, Joe and Dennis, with the certification of psychedelic facilitators. I love the safety of set and setting, and I think that's going to be incredibly vital for making this healing modality more available and impactful without having to be abused. You're both doing amazing work in this world, and I just want to thank you for it!
I truly believe there's another dimension or realms. I once had a experience. About 7 years ago I heard about a thing called Astral Projection, which has to deal with being able to tap into the "Spirit" realm and essentially leave your body. Some methods of Astral Projection is through the use of Psychedelics or through meditation which basically you train your brain to stay awake while your body falls asleep. I chose to go the route of meditation because I didn't want anything to basically cloud my judgement because going into it I was very skeptical over these stories of people I hear on TH-cam being able to leave their bodies essentially at will. So after some research and many many nights of practice I believe I had a breakthrough. One night I laid down to "sleep" and try to project, now before this night I had only gotten to the stage of "paralysis" , which is the stage before "vibration", and I remember being in paralysis for few moments and suddenly went into the vibration stage. It was at that moment I left my body, turned around in midair, and looked at my sleeping body. It only lasted for maybe 5 seconds and I immediately returned to my body. I remember having the feeling of great excitement once I started to vibrate but once I left my body I started to feel vertigo because I was floating and then thinking to myself at how fucking surreal this actually was. I think all those feelings essentially "woke" me back up. What I found really weird was after I came back I woke my girlfriend up that was sleeping next to me and was excitedly asking her if she felt me vibrating, at which she replied, "no." I found that strange because when I was vibrating it physically felt like every cell in my body was vibrating. What I also found weird was I was also still paralyzed for about 10 or so seconds after I came back and even minutes after it felt like every muscle in my body was still half asleep. I never tried to do this again because it's scary and I'm not sure If I want to fully see whats lies ahead, and I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe one day I'll dive back into it but I can safely say that there is more to us then what we physically see and that our souls go somewhere else when our bodies are no more. I'm not saying that it's "Heaven" like depicted in the bible and whatnot but there's definitely something else.
Joe Rogan your podcasts are the best, this one and especially the one with Paul Stamets are fascinating. You should have them both back on (especially Paul) I could listen to that guy for ever..
As a novice to TH-cam creation upon hearing his willingness to stream classes/events at his academy I am thrilled to know I could be closer than I think to being a part of the process.
THANK YOU Joe for another fascinating interview w/ Dennis, with greatest respect some of the subjects, topics and questions are quite similar to previous episode 946 . Such as ufo experience, tripping jaguar which Dennis already addressed and monk joke by terence but Dennis already laughed. However it is good to know inside story of this new Book which I am looking forward to read. I would like to suggest going back watch interviews of person, before re interview to avoid repetition. Also Joe when we listen to your podcast we do listen carefully and seriously. I was so influenced by episode 946 17 April 17 interview that soon went and bought collectors edition books books that you are holding on your desk and i am still waiting to arrive them. This was my true appreciation and support for Dennis's psychedelic studies. However with great disappointment I am sad to say you still have not kept your gentlemen word. We appreciated so much when you offered Dennis to buy AJNA LIGHT episode 946 at 57:37 as a gift one for you, one for me. You are not forced to but when you declare this to millions of viewers and failed to do even after a year passed by and blame on doing too many podcasts. I think you are too relaxed and need to pay attention to your statements. You do not just invite to your guests and forget afterwords. Apologies being critical but I needed as a viewer.
We Love you Dennis!!, Just as much as Terrence! You are both great for the mycology/psychedelic communities and I greatly appreciate both of y'alls work!! Mush Love
Am I the only one that watched Joe debate Firas vigorously about science and truths, only to have Dennis come and say basically the same thing and not one word to the contrary from Joe when Dennis says it?
Just seeing this in 2024, and this is amazing. Pioneers like this guy really should be protected and cherished in our society. We need more like him. His bravery to push against the harsh dogma of religion and the dominating hand of government will hopefully be reciprocated in many places in our country. Love it. Cheers
Why are people so obsessed with criticism, just enjoy or change channel, Rogan is a lovely man, get a life keyboard warriors, lots of love xxxxxx later........
Joe, I know this is a late comment and way down the timeline, but this is no doubt one of the best talks yet about how we can progress in a multitude of different fields. Dennis is a guy that has the experience to make a real difference.
Really? That's adorable. 🤣 How come? Because I commented on the printing of the t-shirt? Or was it the ''wonderful dudes'' that threw you off? Perhaps the emoji at the end? A combination of all three?
I tried DMT a few times and my second experience was a full on space trip break through. The knowledge I took away had two parts. First, that we are OK. We do not have anything missing, we are born with everything we need for happy life and the way we treat others is as important as how we treat ourselves. The second thing I learned from that trip is that inside a black hole time can flow in any direction but you can only move one direction in space. Time flowed almost spherically.
You didn't see anything based in reality, you were having a hallucination. Everything you saw was a figment of your imagination. You don't learn real scientific knowledge from drugs, grow up.
@21.30 "religion empty promises that dont deliver "its not this simple. most religious people enjoy the fellowship that it offers, going to the church allows them to have meaningful relationship centered around a common set of belief... this human dynamic is very real and can be positive as well
Imagen that lol people are cool with bombs that will burn and kill you in the most horrific way but a bomb that would open the mind to different possibilities is just a step to far for most🤦
The multiple militaries already kinda has these, from some form of aerosol fentanyl mix that they used during that Russian theater hostage situation where a bunch of the captives died of opiate overdoses because they didn’t tell the EMS to bring enough narcan. There was also some program about developing aerosolized Pheromones to turn a raid into a rave and basically render them incapable of fighting and incapacitated from a battle space perspective. There were all different types of “pheromone bombs” that they researched, it wouldn’t surprise me if there was also research into drugs like MDMA or LSD.
Joe talking about how roads are the strangest thing after a DMT trip and than getting all wired when someone was going into "same strange direction" about a fly
This morning I was walking around and suddenly my attention was brought to a digital clock that said 11:33, I thought, huh, that's interesting then moved on. I just realised now that this podcast is number 1133.
Dennis McKenna is totally rational and totally open minded at the same time, perfect balance. I've never heard anyone like him you're all welcome to tip me with some names if you got em I wanna hear more of people like him. Also very high intelligence and immense amount of wisdom at the same time. Do we all even understand how rare Dennis is? And also I've always thought it sounded a bit lame and cliche whenever someone says that they can see a perso live on through the surviving family member, but in this case I really feel at times like Terence never left us, and I'm so grateful. It seemed we lost something, but then we found out that we actually just discovered something else equally unique.
About decriminalizing all drugs in Canada (from a Canadian) - There are discussions about decriminalizing all drugs much like Portugal did in the early 2000's. But I don't think we will see it happen soon. Maybe one day. For now, PM Trudeau has said publicly that it is not in his government's plan to go with it. Maybe in a second term, who knows. I think it is a good idea even though I do not take anything else than weed. Peace to all !
To Rogan and Dennis especially, I think if you are going to continue supporting the use of psychedelics you must also fund research into treatment for HPPD. I used to take psychedelics and believe they were an important mind expander in my life that nurtured creativity and passion; I cannot deny the positive experiences I had but HPPD is for many people a debilitating side effect that causes depression and anxiety in 1 out of every 2 sufferers. In the psychedelic and to an extent the scientific community you are respected and have the power to motivate and source funding for research; please consider the adverse effects before relentlessly pushing for widespread usage.
He constantly talks about moderation and doing it with a shaman or an experienced user, i don't think i've ever heard him advocating the willy nilly use of psychadelics. He also says in multiple podcasts that everyones biology is slightly different and everyone reacts differently, and that it is not for everyone. You make it seem like he's got a bullhorn and a bag full of dmt screaming everybody come trip. He always says to be responsible with your trips.
Tom Lopez context matters. Science is not a faith. But people can falsely use it to push their ideals, or misinterpret information, in a religious-like manner.
Dave Z No i don’t follow him blindly. I never follow anyone blindly. I just love people who change lives for tbe better. Like him. Or like Rogan did. And many others did. Try hating a bit less. And start loving some more. It better for you, you sad little hater.
Dave Z. No, it’s very simple. The work he has done, has changed lives for the better. And there is overwelhming data to support that claim. Look at MAPS for example. Helping people with PTSS or people with terminal cancer. Or people with severe longterm depression. He has played a huge part in pushing this kind of research. So get of your high horse. And look at the facts. Because you clearly have not. That’s why I am defensive
Dave Z Yeah, some of the things he says in this video I am skeptical towards as well. Don't get me wrong. Especially the alien stuff. But that doesn't mean he still is one of the first who pushed this research on psychedelics. We really need that in our society at the moment. Because everything from depression to anxiety and ADHD etc etc is growing in such a rapid paste.
99.9% of abduction cases fit for sleep paralysis.... when brains awake before hormone which preveht you act what you are doing in sleep. .. is fully wearn off that's why your are awake and and can't move and many described that they are surrounded by beings
As someone who has had sleep paralysis twice and seen the shadow figure standing in the corner of my room that many others have seen I agree this is very possible. it could be very easy to be tricked into thinking these waking dreams are real. Heck I've had dreams a couple times that I've confused as real memories.
Psychedelics, the antidote to faith... So true, and very powerful as a statement. Especially considering psychedelics could very well be the foundation of all religions. At least the Abrahamic religions.
There is nothing in the pages of the Bible which suggests any psychedelic influence. There is, however, a bunch of really primitive shit. I mean do you really think that the authors of the Bible or the Qur'an took psychedelics and then decided that genocide, slavery, and sexual enslavement were acceptable?
Did shrooms last night/today. Saw what appeared to be a control center for existence, was pretty cool, then got salty that I took them so late and had no one to experience it with. Strange visuals, noticed how many objects in existence look incredibly similar to shrooms. Fantastic, beautiful experience all around... Found out I'm worried about locking myself out(?) And concerned on who or what actually 'turns out the lights' for existence, still not sure why or what that phrase means. Gnarly times.
This was a great podcast but It's Joe's (the host) job to make the conversation interesting. If you invite a chemist/ethnopharmacologist then talk about drugs, not philosophy or politics...
Hi Joe, I noticed you talking a lot about simulation theory... You should consider asking physicist Tom Campbell to appear on your show. He just successfully raised nearly $250K to fund a set of experiments (variations on the double-slit) to test his theory that we do in fact live in a simulation.
30:59 Joe said about roads I hit like. Finally people are waking up, and I don't feel like I'm surrounded by zombies who do not question this insanity of society.
Cymatic patterns. If you put your ear to someone's chest you can hear a heartbeat. If you have a stethoscope you can hear someone breathe. If you put a conch shell to your ear you can hear your blood flow. Wind howls with the right conditions. Altered consciousnesses offer altered senses. Also Pro tip. The salvia headache isn't smoke inhalation- which is the best theory we've got right now. Salvia is neuro-regenerative. It is a K-Opioid agonist. and the densest cluster of k-opioid receptors is the "claustrum" which is essentially the center of conciousness. Surgeons studying this once ran a current of electricity into someone's claustrum and they immediately blacked out once they came to they didn't experience a loss of time.
Now once you've got all that down look up Collybolide and Collybia Tuberosa. Collybolide is 10-50 times better at neuro-regeneration than salvia according to nihm.gov
Joe, great podcast. My two cents: we should all be careful discrediting someone else's spiritual experiences (for example, "institutionalized western religions"), mainly because they are subjective to an individuals mind. If spiritual experiences are indeed chemically related (as McKenna espouses), and our minds are intensely chemical, it's ignorant to assume a plant is needed to provide proof of some spiritual answer, when DMT for example is made in our own brains. All the best Joe, you're doing great work.
I'm an experienced psychonaut, and the one big lesson I've learned, that has saved me from insomnia-induced psychosis among other things, is that experience does not equal reality. It's not about discrediting experience though, it's about protecting the individual from losing the little pieces of free will they have left. It's about reintegration and how to thoughtfully derive from an experience a new reality, not about allowing the experience to control our thoughts. Once you realize that, you'll realize the "protocol" to psychedelics and spirituality. The only real thing about experiences is their consequences made manifest by the experiencer to the mutual reality in which we exist, an experience in itself has no inherent value.
Why is it that so many of you haters assume that every sentence that comes out of these podcast needs to be perfect, validated, and conveniently agreeable with your life views. @@dylanford9929 That's how progress works. If we had to start over with every new generation we would never have gotten anywhere.
Oh how I wish Terrence Mckenna was still alive and could do a Joe Rogan podcast. I think it would be his greatest ever.
He is well and alive. He is within us all. Just close your eyes and he’s there smoking a pipe in a wizard hat and a paisley shirt.
Terrence IS doing the podcast in the same way the plants are cultivating us. We and everything are the dream that Terrance is dreaming.
that would be perfect
Terrence came to me at Eclipse festival (Quebec) while on a "spirit opener" mushroom brew. We danced together for a while. Deep love.
You are God damn right, Quetzalcoatl!
Did Joe Rogan get me in to psychedelics? Or did psychedelics get me in to Joe Rogan?
MMADE MUSIC good question
This deserves top comment
The chicken or the egg??
Or did you get psychedelics into Joe Rogan?
The bing bang got you both

Check out the first podcast Joe did with Dennis because he said something similar but with a better description. I believe it was near the end of the podcast

It's you!!!!!
Bike Cycle Why? From mediating he lost his mind??????
Kark Maleta kundalini is super potent and vicious
I was laying down the same things in the 60's what happened oh I know the government declared war on our generation then most of us were swallowed by the machine. My hope is I hope it turns out different this time. I'm 70 and 5.8grms on last New Year looking forward to the new year.
Wow. Thank you. We need all the help/luck/prayers we can get!
Funny because now your generation is in charge and doing the exact same things to my generation
‘Psychedelics are the antidote to faith’ brilliant.
@Sky God Did 500ug two weeks ago and in the peak, I never felt so blessed, loved by god. Amen my brother, psychedelics just gave me more faith.
G-d is real, but brains are like computers and sometimes the cell buffers need to be purged to receive the message.
I was atheist, had a very profound mushroom trip, I am no longer atheist.
i guess his brother disagreed lol.... psychedelics are probably the catalyst for most of faith as we know it

Ill be the first one to sign up for the academy. Make that shit happen!

my book "True Hallucinations and The Archaic Revival " just got delivered to me today great to be able to listen to this podcast before i start it! love Dennis Mckenna and his departed brother Terence,I am grateful for these minds having touched so many others
fantastic books
i've heard him talk several times before... but it wasn't until THIS show that i HEARD his brother's voice/mannerisms/cadence/etc... now i cannot unhear it... don't want to either
Hamilton's a melt.
Dennis and Hamilton are my two favorite psychonauts and could not agree more.
Great Episode. Shout out to Ari for being so open about depression. We need more people to be as transparent as him when it comes to their individual experience.
The McKenna Academy for Natural Studies is such an exciting idea.
Absolutely LOVE and respect both of these men. Such a gift to this sick sad self-destructive society.
Dennis, we owe you a lot for your life's work. I would have never been open to yours & Terrence's videos had I not deemed you rational on this very video, you were the spark to open my eyes. Thank you
"Explain that to people that don't know what we're talking about." - Joe when he doesn't know what they're talking about
😂
Do a video talking about it together
didn't you have a camera with you?
Bullshit.
A UFO doesn’t automatically equal aliens.
Some people in the comment section probably need to use psychedelics. Jeeeesus
Dave Z no dude, I don’t care about that at all. Do you not see all the shit people in the comments? Having a different opinion isn’t a valid reason for being shitty to people.
Dave Z don’t be so negative.
Dave Z brah
Dave Z ok can’t get through you. Don’t know who hurt you, but I love you. ✌🏼
your assumptions are causing you stress for no reason. Re read your comments later and see if you still feel the same way. I’m not even trying to be mean to you, but you don’t see that.
Joe "try to keep that thing close to your face" Rogan!

one of my favorite guests, along with graham hancock/randall carlson/robert shoch/john anthony west and so on. i always watch this podcast when there's some form of science involved, although i will say i'd love to see more musicians on. james hetfield and billy corgan were great podcasts as well.
i very quickly went from "im not high enough for this" to "im way to high for this"
I think that Academy sounds amazing!
Joe to every guest: So what do you think about Octopuses being aliens?
Its true thoigh
It's so fucking stupid, the idea boils down to 'octopus looks weird, therefore octopus is alien.' Big fan of joe but this is just tiresome.
@@danielgarib4866 its not based solely off of the fact they look weird, you're the stupid one sorry mate
Daniel Garib it’s because a lot of people who do high doses of psychedelics see tentacles and octopus like figures
Bryce Roberts they also have some strange ways of camouflage, multiple brains, and the ability to change rna
I'm not saying that it's "Heaven" like depicted in the bible and whatnot but there's definitely something else.
little late but you should do a podcast with Paul Stamets and Dennis Mckenna together
yess!!!!

@@raph655 THANK YOU
I would love to do a course in the McKenna Academy!
Riiiiight!? Where and when do we enroll? I plan to be an A student.
Joe Rogan your podcasts are the best, this one and especially the one with Paul Stamets are fascinating. You should have them both back on (especially Paul) I could listen to that guy for ever..
Thank you Joe for having Dennis on here as much as you have. I love listening to the deep conversations you guys have.
Man, my homie Alex would have loved this podcast. RIP ALEX. Love you brother. See you on the flipside.
30 seconds in... Joe "Pull that sucker up to your face" Rogan Strikes again. Haha
As a novice to TH-cam creation upon hearing his willingness to stream classes/events at his academy I am thrilled to know I could be closer than I think to being a part of the process.
It's interesting that Dennis McKenna's favourite band is Run-D.M.T.
Aahh the cringe got a single chuckle out of me. Damnit Jo.

Loved this podcast. The conclusion I come to after listening to this is that balance is key in life.
To get to the psychedelic university you must go to platform 9 3/4
Or just Bristol failing that

We Love you Dennis!!, Just as much as Terrence! You are both great for the mycology/psychedelic communities and I greatly appreciate both of y'alls work!! Mush Love
HOW?! How can I attend this Academy. I need it in my life!
Am I the only one that watched Joe debate Firas vigorously about science and truths, only to have Dennis come and say basically the same thing and not one word to the contrary from Joe when Dennis says it?
I was wondering the same thing
Nope. Rogan is bottom floor "WOKE" #gatekeeper, but sometimes he has interesting shows...
Maybe joe is suffering a bit of appeal to authority? I was wondering the same thing

I grew psylocibe cubensis mushrooms in the mid ‘90s when I was in high school. Those mushrooms provided a lot of amazing days and nights.
Joe, I know this is a late comment and way down the timeline, but this is no doubt one of the best talks yet about how we can progress in a multitude of different fields.
Dennis is a guy that has the experience to make a real difference.
Joe “jesters giving me the finger” Rogan
Best one yet lol
I think its hilarious. If the other side is totally joyous then why worry here??
Glad to see both of these wonderful dudes wore psychedelic t-shirts for the occasion. 😋
Really? That's adorable. 🤣 How come? Because I commented on the printing of the t-shirt? Or was it the ''wonderful dudes'' that threw you off? Perhaps the emoji at the end? A combination of all three?
Oh look. Another manchild. Thx for the love guys. Keep this vibe going in life, it makes you really cool.
Dennis is just speaking the words right out of my mind. This planet needs so much work to be done and soon. Stop the wreckage.

One of the best guests on the show!
Sam Smith my ancestors are smiling down at me... can you say the same imperial?
@21.30 "religion empty promises that dont deliver "its not this simple. most religious people enjoy the fellowship that it offers, going to the church allows them to have meaningful relationship centered around a common set of belief... this human dynamic is very real and can be positive as well

@@DJASHLOFT no need to imagine. It's a reality we live in.
I love the way you think!
The world needs more people like this man with his outlook...
Joe talking about how roads are the strangest thing after a DMT trip and than getting all wired when someone was going into "same strange direction" about a fly
Woo he is back! Must be an honour having Dennis Mckenna on your podcast!
Yeah! I heard Joe is getting Terrence's aunt on next week. I am psyched!
One of Joe's more shining moments.
Powerful Dennis McKenna!
Joe "Rosanne was supposed to be on" Rogan
Take a shot every time Joe says “wow”.

Joe "I will argue for an hour with Firas that science is not a faith, but I'll agree with Dennis that it is a religion" Rogan.
Tom Lopez context matters. Science is not a faith. But people can falsely use it to push their ideals, or misinterpret information, in a religious-like manner.
Yes, yes, yes! Dennis McKenna. I love this dude. Such an amazing person.
Milan van Eijk
Agreed.
Dave Z yes you are hater because there is much hate in your comments...hater!
Why did i literally start tearing up and almost cry as soon as Dennis said he can Channel Terence sometimes :)
99.9% of abduction cases fit for sleep
paralysis.... when brains awake before hormone which preveht you act what you are doing in sleep. .. is fully wearn off
that's why your are awake and and can't move and many described that they are surrounded by beings
As someone who has had sleep paralysis twice and seen the shadow figure standing in the corner of my room that many others have seen I agree this is very possible. it could be very easy to be tricked into thinking these waking dreams are real. Heck I've had dreams a couple times that I've confused as real memories.
Its certainly not 99.9% but there is a decent percentage that could probably be explained by sleep paralysis.
No the Bible was changed during the Greeks first real political experience
Man, how great would it have been to see Terrence on JRE. Would have been amazing.
You saw the borg cube eh? Hahah cheers

This was a great podcast but It's Joe's (the host) job to make the conversation interesting. If you invite a chemist/ethnopharmacologist then talk about drugs, not philosophy or politics...
I’m a Vet and I definitely have some mental issues that the VA hasn’t and can’t deal with. I wish I could go to Peru to Dennis’ retreat.

Hi Joe, I noticed you talking a lot about simulation theory... You should consider asking physicist Tom Campbell to appear on your show. He just successfully raised nearly $250K to fund a set of experiments (variations on the double-slit) to test his theory that we do in fact live in a simulation.

Now once you've got all that down look up

The one thing I wish this channel would do is have every topic throughout the show time stamped.
