Played this build for the first time yesterday, holy hell! 4 killing blows, 1 kill, 5 assists, 4 KMDD, 4 components. The BEST score I've ever gotten in the game! Thank you Baradul, your builds are easing my 'what do I do now?!' frustrations!
It happens unfortunately. I was in a match against Baradul and TTB on the same team...yeah...wasn't fun being on the receiving end of that arsewhoopin...lol
As a new player, I purchased a Hellbringer. Maybe I am just bad at the mech, but I honestly hate it. I can usually get more damage and earn more c-bills in my Flea. I get more kills in my Griffin... a Griffin. I like my rifleman more as well, even with the wonky, wide-spaced weaponry.
@@noanswer1864 I run an u-ac20 and 3 heavy medium lasers in me hellbringer, does a nice 81kps, good for flanking with the ecm, you can put a laser ams on it but flamers work good too. The trick is to blindside em on their firing line once they're already engaged, use the lasers to open em up and then dump your ultra ac 20s into the hole you ripped open.
@@tristandawe4786 I've seen a lot of people do great work in Hellbringers. I just never liked them. It makes no sense, because I love 2 of the Clans, but in mechwarrior online, without the ability to use a proper inner sphere AC20, I tend to use lasers and shotguns with Clan mechs, and ppcs/ac20 on inner sphere mechs.
I have over 1,200 hours in this workhorse. Normally, I put both the heavies in the right torso instead of spreading them (for right side peaking). Also, I normally strip the right arm entirely of armor and a tiny bit of head/leg armor to add extra heatsinks. Basically every slot filled with double heatsinks other than the right arm which is empty.
I was the Arctic Wolf running with you in the first (Grim Plexus) game. Saw your end score and was pretty sure you'd post it! It was quite a fun match! I currently run a pretty similar build on my Hellbringer, except with ER LL instead of Hvy LL.
Second game is the kind of damage I would expect from this mech and build without strikes. The first game was insane :D Well played. Thank you for the videos :D
If you need any build ideas for a video, try a vapor eagle with 2 er ppcs and an LB-10. May seem a little weird but I usually average around 750 damage on a normal game and have broken 1300 before. LB-10 provides decently heat efficient sustain and the PPCs are great for poking/ burst damage
i got 2 hellbringer's and my champion is set up with 6 heavy large lasers and 26 double heat sinks with ecm and has done so great for me. my alfa strike is at 76 and got the ace of spades achievement with it.
I was trying to make the Quirked Virago work but honestly, I think forgoing that by dropping the ECM torso helps so much in terms of survivability. I just finished a game with this build in Canyon Network Domination and due to ECM no one really targeted me aside from TAG/BAP ATMs. Easy flanking/back shots netted me 950 damage, pretty damn good for someone in Tier 4.
The main dirfference between the pay-variant hero and puzzle one yourself is: You loose all Quirks. Including the heat management Quirk, which is essential for this build. So better pay or forget.
The Virago 10% heat quirk is a set-of-8 quirk. So you lose it if you swap out any omnipod (which you need to do to get the ECM). The build Bara runs in the video cannot be run on any set-of-8 Hellbringer.
Hi Baradul, lots of thanks for yet another entertaining video. How about a hellbringer with the head + top torso guns as 3 ER large lasers? That would solve your range problem, might help a little with heat + also increase damage output when peeking. [el'sda2].
I really wish PGI would find a way to incentivize using the arms. Really dislike all of these builds that derp right out and refuse to use them. Maybe something along the lines of less heat gen for arm mounted weapons.
Love me some laser vomit! I run the same build on a Summoner, but I think this is better. ECM is worth a lot more than the Summoner's absurd number of jump jets
@@thebouncer8039 I can see that, but I feel like the typical pop tart loadout of two PPCs is a criminal waste of a 70 ton mech. My Linebacker hits harder, and my Hellfire hits a LOT harder. Maybe I can load it with some ATMs, make it like a giant Vapor Eagle
Never found one yet but I made a hunchback P that is melting mechs with 2 mp lasers and the rest m chem lasers Double heat sink's My heavys are 2 archer's and a warhammmer
Arent the Hellbringer named loki too ? Cause the Bounty hunter used one of those during his story ( yes I have started to learn the lore and whoa so much to learn just like WH40k)
Loki is the name used by Inner Sphere to identificate the mech due the lack of information about the invaders during the first clan contact. And there are a lot more es. Timber Wolf - Mad Cat, Summoner - Thor, Mad Dog - Volture, etc..
Your positioning and anticipation was actually great. Don't believe that you have to be psychic against light mechs. The whole rest of the time you were moving to good spots. Your instincts were 100% accurate the first game, that's why you did all that damage. Definitely better than what I would have done.
" you can see PPCs already flying" lets just call them PP bolts .. or just PP shots ... maybe PPPs even ... as in particle projector projectiles (if that does count, also try to say that 5 times quickly in a row, ... actualy saying and not typing)
dunno how you could possibly get that kind of damage dude.. I've played battletech for 30 years and I dont know of any mech that can dish out more then 64 damage in an entire alpha strike. is this end game damage total done or what... think about it.. an ac20 does 20 dmg a shot and weighs 14 tons... if your in assault mech like an anhilator you can fit 8 on it... without an engine.... and still not get to that damage lol
I run this build for some time on the P version of this mech... the only difference is basicly the +30% CB, nothing else. Its a clan mech, you can change the omnipods to build it to your likings.

Man, those heavy large lasers sounds so terrifying. BWAAAAAAARP! I love it.
Ah, one of the classics. Well nicknamed "Moneybringer".
Whee! I got in a Baradul vid! I was the Crab on Plexus.
I'm a bit meh that I'm a mid-T3 player getting matched against top-T1 though :|

Hellbringer in my opinion is the absolute best mech for new players to get. Easy mech to learn with and plenty of great builds for it.
Exactly what a clanner would say.
Took your advice and am full on addicted to MW5 😱

That Grim Plexus match is what Domination should be like. Actually contesting a small capture zone.
Reactor? Online.
Sensors? Online.
Weapons? Online.
Hotel? Virago.
3:44 the phantom PPCs! Where ya hidin' them? 😂

Love this build ! Great vid
Anyone played this back in the nineties? One of my fav games back then
fire power with velocity over range? down at the bottom of the skill tree you took the velocity to the right of the bottom center duration node.

that Inception sounds
I use the same build, but with both heavy lasers on the right, and all 4 ERMed on the head/left. Wonderful mech!
does this build even still fit ? i cant get it to work

Hi nice build I use 2HLLs 3HMLs 2MGs+0,5t ammo, fells good too, nice video
HB Prime is one of my favorite variants with 3x ER meds and 2x LPL
Kick ass video.
Could you build the most OP Urbiemech so Oscar tue Grouch can stomp some clanners lol
Any chance you could post the mwo import links for both loadout and skills?

The summoner is better with ppcs to utilize the jump jets, the hellbringer is better for laser vomit due to the hardpoints and ecm

Inappropriate time for a scalp massage.
Why does your Virago offer a 40 percent cbill bonus whereas mine only offers a 30 percent bonus? :(
the cockpit itens
I think you meant to to take Range Node #15, instead of Velocity Node #5 in the Firepower tree. XD
I would commit so many war crimes in the Inner Sphere with that mech.
