Another great video. You are really doing it all, and looks like going well for the most part. Makes me happy to see you happy, and having fun. I guess we missed our chance to say a proper hello. We did not want to bother you on work days. Well keep these great videos coming, and enjoy!!!!!! and be safe
So glad you are still filming and letting us tag along. You really are an inspiration. Only one month till my first charter trip on a cat in the BVIs and it is partially due to your channel! Cannot wait to try it out! Have fun, be safe.
Thanks for showing your time experiencing new adventures together.Your an awesome couple. My wife and I bought a fp cat and can’t wait to be out there. The adventure is on!
Great video yet again. I love spearfishing both scuba and freediving (Offshore South Carolina). FYI those triggerfish taste great! Keep the awesome content coming.
Good point on the trigger fish!! When we got home and looked it up I couldn’t believe that we missed the opportunity. It was just such a pretty fish - I never thought about if it would be tasty 😋 🐠. Live and learn!!!
I’m borrowing your “condomaran” term. I’m hoping one of them is in my future. I’m moving from Madison, WI to St. Pete next year giving me access to big water… hopefully after that a “condomaran” purchase. Thanks for the continued inspiration!!
Hey guys, just subscribed and binge-watched the entire journey over the last week. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING!!! We are hoping to follow your lead later this year. I would love a video (13 minute Thursday? :-) ) about the fun topic of boat financing. Also i heard a hint at Boat as a Business with the Yacht CEO so was curious how you evaluated that option. Thanks again for all the insights!
I want to go just chill with the nurse sharks! So cool! Also, I concur with "stupid blue". 😂 The only spear fishing I've ever done was for lionfish (which you can actually do on SCUBA due to their invasiveness). It is a lot of fun but I'm sure is much harder when free diving!
They have life jackets that they wear once we get going and get off the bank. If conditions are rough - they stay in the enclosure out back, so they can’t get out/fall off!
Good try with the spearfishing Charles. You obviously are better at the freediving aspect than I am. The depth you were fishing was pretty deep even for experienced individuals spearfishing. To have actually hit one the first time out is amazing. I can't do it really except with a tank, so yeah I am impressed with the work there Charles. The thing is you aren't really allowed to hunt with a tank as I recall in the Bahamas(they might have changed that????)...but if there isn't anyone else around and you do it from the boat...If you are about to get caught leave the spear in the water somewhere they can't see it, like on end. Then just stay down away from the boat until your visitors leave. Oh don't tangle with Triggerfish if you can help it. To me they are a tad less dangerous than Great Whites. They will attack the snot out of you, especially if they are protecting a "nest" of sorts. All in all a well edited video and happy belated birthday Jess.
I enjoyed your video, I see you are from Norfolk I'm in Hampton. Would it be possible to share your excel file. Looking forward to see more of your adventures. Thanks for sharing.
..... Not hard to believe the negative remarks made about the grocery, probably the same sort of people that focus on how they dislike what the previous owner did with the boat ... not everyone has the same tastes, if we did it sure would be dull, everyone wearing the same clothes etc. ... they more than likely could not get that there would not be a Mega grocery behind this little door on this quaint wee island in paradise .... story time, the reality of things .. the valley I live in with a population of 3 - 400,000 spread over cities of various sizes, mine a midsize in the valley 36ish thousand. Well several years ago was closed off from the rest of the province due to extreme snowfall in the passes. Several days had elapsed since this had begun and I went to the large mega grocery with the high gloss mirror finish floors and usually anything you can imagine on the shelves. I am in the till line and the person in front of me is rather bitterly complaining that what they wanted was not on the shelve, the cashier was politely explaining that the roads had already been closed for several days and the trucks could not get through (this store I would imagine would get several trucks coming in nightly from either Vancouver or Calgary) the customer just stared blankly at the teller and repeated that what that what they wanted was not on the shelve and why? not connecting the dots .. with the entitled mentality that surrounds us many seem not to get the basics of things anymore. .... yes that stupid blue was absolutely breathtaking and only 50' of depth .... can well imagine that the filming and editing could become overwhelming, not sure I would want that as part of my life and am grateful you are championing the role .... have not tried free diving and spearfishing, but all that talk of it rave about it it seems .. a big thing I understand is optimizing the breathing through out of water breathing drills .... thx for sharing Charles & Jess .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
When Charles poured the sand out of his shoes I instantly saw a #boatlife caption I hadn't thought about how prevalent sand is living on a boat. I mean I know the salt water dries and coming back and forth from the beach but does sand make it into the cabins and living space? also what is your experience with sand getting inside? Jes your amazing, Charles amazing humor! I chuckled at the I watch one video so now Im an expert comment. Cheers to finding your breath while diving, soon you may even grow gills. ❤️
Sand is everywhere on the back of the boat 😆 We typically wash our feet with the deck shower when we come home from the beach - and that includes the dogs. We probably have more sand inside than a boat without dogs just because they play on the beach every day and pick up a ton in their coats. But we do our best to keep it outside by taking off shoes & cleaning up before we come in. Thankfully it is easy to sweep up and return to the ocean for another day!
We have talked about it and how it would be easier, more spacious, faster. But have never really considered it because they days we get to sail are the best days we have out here!
@@FolsomOceanViews And fuel. Motor yachts don't have those little efficient Yanmars. They have big, thirsty Yanmars...or Volvos. It's more machine than boat, and you pay for it. I was shopping for a motor yacht for retirement, until I found modern cats. Sold. I'll save the motors for our fishing boats. Thanks!
Negative comments on Bahamanian grocery stores are common, unfortunately. I've seen it throughout the islands and it is one of the few times I agree that the "Ugly American" stereotype exists. The problem is the Bahamas is both blessed and cursed by being so easy to reach by plane or boat, that lots of non-travelers go there. They fly from NYC in a few hours, get off and expect everything to be the same as home - except the water and weather. Then they find out most stores only sell UHT milk and not "fresh"...or the chicken is frozen and shipped from Costco in Ft. Lauderdale. "What do you mean you don't have pasture-raised, fair-trade, gluten-free Kale?!?! No Whole Foods? You people are savages!" It's much worse in the "Family Islands" than Nassau, but even there it's an issue. I used to make friends with fisherman at the docks and pay cash for their by-catch every other day or so. Found a lady with chickens and bought 4-5 eggs at a time and cleaned them myself. Also bought the old hen and turned it to stew. You get the point. There are people whp travel, and people who 'land somewhere'. The difference is attitude.
Our dogs live better lives than we do. We makes sure they explore an island every day until they walk back to the dinghy and ask to go home. You obviously have no idea who we are.
We’ve got a Maine Coon (large cat) that prefers the boat to the house. It’s basically his boat. I find pets generally prefer to stay close to their owners regardless of location
Superb Optics, Great shots, good drone work , and to top it good music and story line. Enjoyable Thanks!!
So glad that you started filming again.
We are too - thanks for joining along in the adventure!!
Great production quality. You guy put a ton of work into these… thanks and keep it up

Thanks for explaining your philosophy of boating.
Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your vessel are the first step in being happy. :)
Very true! She isn’t winning any races, but we have lived comfortably and gotten to our destinations… eventually 😆
You both are getting better and better with your filming and story telling. Bravo!
Thanks!! It has gotten a bit easier with all this blue water to keep us company 🙌🏻

I can not wait to hear about it! Order the lobster roll at soggy dollar. And if you drink: get a painkiller!!!

Love your videos, so glad you guys decided to keep at it. I have watched all your videos now, some a few times. Number 1 on my sub list.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the support 🙌🙌🙌
Hurry up and get a patent on "stupid blue". Nice video y'all, enjoy watching the adventures.

Last comment I promise. I’ve got a provision list as well. I’d love to get a copy of your spreadsheet though. New ideas always welcomed
Just saw your tube channel and loved it u have a new member on board!
Super awesome episode! I feel like I am there with you guys! Really great!
Thanks Randy! We will keep going and are happy to take you along for the journey!

Fabulous episode guys. I can seeds your confidence building and it looks good on you both. ✌🏻️ 👍🏻 ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝👙🌞✨
Thanks Richard, it has been a lot of fun being back in these waters!
Great video, curious what equipment you are using to spear fish including fins?
Charles!, sounds like a snuba or even better, dive compressor is in your future :)
Dive compressor is on the list! But it wouldn’t help here in the Bahamas. It’s illegal to use any air assistance when spear fishing in the Bahamas 😳

Always so much fun watching your videos. Are y’all in a location where you can snare lobster?
Yes!! We are. But we have a lot to learn on how to find them 🥰

Research Aqua Bob, leopard 58, he is one who taught Niki and Jason how to spear fish, maybe something of value in it.
Oh! Good tip: Thanks 🙌

That's a trigger fish.
Have you guys ever considered a motor yacht over the sailing catamaran?

The reel has drag setting that makes noise.

We call it our Condomaran 🤣
