This is insane! Your robot is so fast, and yet so smooth, That second and third runs just blew my mind. Keep up the great work!

Thanks! We chose the large motorcycle wheels so that the robot would have a faster speed, although there is a trade off for accuracy. You'll notice that we have to accelerate up to top speed and slow the robot down before stopping to avoid wheel spin / skidding to ensure the run is repeatable.

This is amazing! I was impressed by the thinking that since the slingshot was elevated above the target, it was in the target area.

Hi there! I am from team Talos, and we competed with you in the provincials. I am sorry to say we both didn't advance to the internationals, but I had fun. Hope you did too!

At 0:49, how did you guys managed to make the robot do a smooth curve? We've been trying here at our lab, without any success... If you could help us, it would be great! :) - INSABOTS, from Brazil

Awesome! How does your robot go so fast and yet be so smooth???????

We use a MyBlock to control the movement of our robot. We input the starting power and end power for the drive motors and the MyBlock automatically smoothly accelerates or decelerates the robot until the target power is reached.

Hello! I wanted to take a doubt, at the moment 0:38 of the video, his robbery goes back and forth. I wanted to understand the concept of this and how you do it! Very good theft

After driving the length of the table, the robot may have drifted slightly north or south. We square up to the black line at 0:39 to re-orientate the robot facing exactly east. There are light sensors next to each wheel at the front of the robot. Each motor moves forward until the corresponding light sensor sees white, then backward until the light sensor sees black. This is done repeatedly at progressively lower power until the power reaches zero. At this point, the robot is perfectly perpendicular to the black line.

Yes, we won Champion's Award at the FIRST Championship in St. Louis last year. We were definitely not expecting it, but the team had a really good Q&A session with the judges during the final callback.

We remember team MacGyver from St. Louis. Congratulations to Septem for advancing to Detroit this April and we wish you the best of luck. We are competing in our provincial championship soon and we will see if we are fortunate enough to advance to an international tournament.

I believe in the game rules you have to use all lego part. Are those wheel lego (they don't look like it). But great job any way.
