- We made the board game Settlers of Catan with real-world topography from national parks! We used my CNC, laser, and 3d printer to make all the parts. Then we got together as friends and enjoyed playing the game. This was a fun build. Its always nice to have someone else in the shop.

The tiles look great. How do you randomize the board? The tiles seem recognizable from the back.
We use an app on our phone that randomizes the layout

Just a tip as you keep calling it grayscale and colors. Its called a height map. Not to be condescending, I just find it easier to find relevant information with the right keywords. Cool to see your prototyping :)
The height map is made from a grayscale image which interprets different colors. Don't correct me when I'm trying to explain in a way everyone can understand.

You need fusion 360....
I have it but I'm not to confident in using it yet. I know you can use .stl files to do the same thing and easier of I knew what I was doing. I went with greyscale images because I had done it once before
