i think you should look up inigo and his demoscene roots. he (and others) did [realtime] sdf rendering years before that. check out his nvscene talk from 2008, for one. this is the shadertoy version of a demo from the same year: NtlSDs
Super shocked to see something drawing related for professionals. Would love for adobe to dig deeper into drawing things for photoshop /desktop like perspective tools, better painting tools. Even drawing in 3d or tools for storyboard artist in film industry or something innovative for drawing. Anyway this was a reaaaaly cool presentation . Like the next evolution of what sketchup style app could have been. I like how simple adobe made this 3d modeling.

Their boasting about increase in efficiency only leads to more numerous and more complex demands from clients and ultimately more stress for the creative with hardly any increase in compensation. The creative is forced to use more and more automated tools to spill out more and more results faster, leaving little space for deep creative thinking - that is, time away from Adobe's tools and computer - during the process.
Sometimes starting an app from scratch is a lot easier to do than baking something into an existing app. This is why Google has a ton of app of the same thing.

SDF is the best way to make models or start making models! #MadeInDreams was way ahead of its time since 2013 they started this.

Why not just bake this into Illustrator as opposed to a stand alone App?
