- SILENT SWORD SLASH!! Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is still so much fun to me so I had to come back for more ranked matches. This time using one of my favorite monsters, Silent Swordsman. Is This card really better than he was back when he originally released!?

I prefer silent magician but its probably because i use silent magician in my El Shaddoll deck
I love how Doto doesn't make meta decks and keeps making decks like this. This is what I look forward when I see him duel.

Actually, this deck is a mix between meta and non-meta. We can see from doto's deck that he's using a competent, and strong, version of Phantom Knights'. However, he's also included parts of the deck to have Silent Swordsman, which I think is a good balance. While it isn't entirely meta, it's also not entirely slow and uses a meta deck's engine to get/work with his cards.
EXACTLY what I expected from yamcha and krillin main
Rogue/Nostalgia decks are usually some of the most fun out there. It doesn't happen often, but I feel SO accomplished whenever I take out Drytrons or Sky Strikers with my Gem-Knights (literally ONE time only against the Strikers), which was probably due to a misplay or two on my opponent's part. Still, though - Crazy duels and some pretty fun "turn-around" moments, too. Been really loving this game!

Love how far he gets in ranked using fun decks. Kinda the reason I watched his FighterZ originally, just fun with a side of skill!
I just want to mention that I greatly appriciate how entertaining your yugioh vidos are! Most people just play a replay with boring commentary but the way your videos are edited and the way you commentate is just so much more fun to watch. Please keep up these videos!
You know... as much as I’m a non-believer in most of these anime inspired strategies, I do think the Silent Swordsman package can put in work in the higher ranks. The engine around it however would need an overhaul; Phantom Knight isn’t a bad idea and Chaos Space to search Silent Swordsman is actually really good but I would run a lot more phantom knights, up to the full core with 3 boots, 3 torn scales, 2/3 cloak and 1 ragged gloves, the issue with PK is that they can’t get themselves going very well without external help like Cherubini and level 3 extenders. That’s why I wanted to propose Infernoble Knight as another optional engine to put the Silent Swordsman package in. It does a good job spamming warriors so there would be plenty of tribute fodder for the sword boy and putting him up with an established board of even just Charles is lots better than the Swordsman on its own. It would need some theory crafting and testing but I think it’s worth the time.

I'm actually really impressed with this deck Doto! For some of your decks, they felt really slow/old, which is fine if you want to relive the past, but it wouldn't really do that well. But this deck was actually really sick because you were able to bring in the anime aspect of SILENT SWORDSMAN while also using good cards, like Time Thief and Phantom Knights. I really hope you keep making more decks similar to these so they are both strong enough while also keeping that anime feeling!
Honestly that's why the Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman retrains are so cool they are super splashable in any Archetype that uses either Spellcasters or Warriors and provide actually really good effects including a float and magic negate.
Swordsman is for sure the weaker of the two cause Magician's atk being determined by cards in hand means she can immediately be a big attacker and Lv8 Magician is usually a bit better then Lv7 Swordsman but its still cool that you can play new cards with em, very good design
I’m loving these YGO vids! The weirder the strat, the better. I’m too much of an oldhead to keep up with Synchros and shit, so I appreciate enjoying Master Duel vicariously through you.

Silent Swordman was my favorite card for a long time, but i have dropped because it was kinda weak. Seeing someone making good use of the deck and showing how strong it is brings me joy

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! Silent Swordsman is by far my favorite card and I’ve been scrambling to form a deck for him! At the moment I pieced together a hybrid Infernoble/Swordsman deck.
as someone working a buster blader n red-eyes deck, seeing others playing their favorite cards over the meta decks is always nice to see!

I remember Silent Swordsman....it cooked me in Legacy of the Duelist. It's literally one of the AI challenge decks.

One of my best decks was Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman. I used to add Honest for extra protection.

Magician girls with solidarity. Basic game plan is to shut out your opponent from attacking you and playing spells. Also using solidarity (continuous spell that boosts all monsters with the same type by 800) to beat over your opponents. I'd love to see you play it! Lmk if you want a deck list!

My extra deck is lacking cuz i don't have the points, to buy more cards. Basic gameplan of this deck is to stall until you get solidarity to beef up your cards. Use secret village to stop spells from being cast and your opponent's deck basically shuts down. Biggest problem with this deck is it has to stick with spellcasters otherwise solidarity doesn't work (minus watch cat cuz it banishes itself during the end phase) and if your opponent can negate effects during the battlephase the deck falls apart. Looking for some pointers. Thanks for checking htis out dudes!

I really like how doto managed to incorporate an old school card in a modern deck in a way that actually fits. This even got me to build the PK engine i definitely want to test this
Few minutes in and you defeat dragon maids (the very deck I love to use) although it seems chamber dragon maid was their only real play and it got negated) Love to see it!
This is really interesting and something I have been using for years. Silent swordsman and silent magicians are amazing, and really fun to play.

me being a dark magician deck fan since starting duel links in 2017 i love silent magician, has always been my 2nd favourite deck

The sheer ingenuity of a Phantom knights Silent Swordsman deck is amazing
Loving the videos, you should try the Mekk-Knights, basically get free special summons every time there's two cards in one column which is great for power type decks like Photon. I also have some fun with a modified version of the Cyber Bug deck you get from Solo duel.
Man, I am so pumped that there's a game for playing Yu-Gi-Oh like this. 3 days is all it took for me to get a complete META deck, and now I can spend all my future earnings on cards for fun decks like control D/D/D.

It really is easy. You can make at least 3 fully realized decks per account.

This guy is like a real life duel-tainer from the show. He has decent decks and strategies but also actually focuses on having fun During his duels. Instead of just doing whatever is "Meta" at the time.
Not that there's anything wrong with youtubers who do that, buuuut this is way more fun for me to watch.
Not to mention that he gives us a play-by-play.

Dotto at 19:00 you could have summoned silent swordsman by removing fog blade to special summon the Phantom Knight in your graveyard
Doto loved the duel very entertaining to see how you made a silent swordsman deck run, as for last match that was pretty bad blue eyes deck (from what could be seen)but fun matches to watch 👍

Also according to the wiki galactic Spiral dragon is related to exclusively galaxy eyes Tachyon dragon, which I am intrigued by, so it looks like this is a galaxy-eyes deck after all.
Edit: yeah, Photon sanctuary (still a shame you cant xyz with tokens...) and galaxy eyes afterimage dragon (still need to get that one, dont have sr crafting material tho... ), he definitely had a Photon deck but he just bricked or got fucked by your effects or something like that.

Been playing Silent Swordsman LV 5 in Goat Format on Dueling Book in a Reasoning Gate deck. Honestly, I prefer it to Airknight. You may lose some draw power, but being immune to Snatch Steal, Swords of Revealing Light, Level Limit Area B, and Creature Swap ended up making it more useful in the long run.
Not gonna lie, I have no idea how to play YuGiOh anymore so these videos are great because I can live vicariously through Doto
