The fact that Dio knew the name of the roadroller proves that he spent some time thinking about what to smash Jotaro with in order to flex his stand's ability and sheer strength
But dio was not expecting star platinum would be so strong that can push road Roller like 1.0 or something Millimeter like that and also he did not expect he stop time
He sounded so proud for knowing what a road roller is that he even screamed its name
Or, and hear me out on this one, a roadroller just happened to be the heaviest thing he could find and he happened to know the correct name for it. The yelling of the machinery type was just for dramatic effect and you might just be looking a little too deep considering the original thing he had grabbed was apparently an oil tanker.

修行前のジョセフの波紋がサンタナにあまり効かなかったことや、ワムウとの闘いの時「波紋傷の煙が全身に回ってもうなおすことはできない」とジョセフがワムウに敬意の血を与えたことがありましたが、決して波紋が致命傷を与えるわけではありません。
ましてや承太郎の無意識の波紋なんてたかがしれてるでしょう。理由づけなんてどうとでもなります。

ジョナサンも無意識に枝に花を咲かせてますし、貧民時代のシーザーも喧嘩中に無意識に波紋を使ってたから承太郎もキレた条件付きで無意識に波紋がでたとしても個人的には納得しちゃいます。
2部ストレイツォやゾンビが波紋で死ぬシーンとＤＩＯの死に方（内側から光ってシューシューと原作も音を立てている）も酷似してますし、スタープラチナの肩の渦巻き模様は波紋をイメージしているみたいですね。

In case if you guys don’t know, The reason why Dio’s stand shattered more then Star Platinum is because that when Jotaro stopped time, He kicked dio’s knee with his stand with powerful force and when Dio got up, His leg was not fully healed and it was still fractured. That’s how Jotaro won.
his leg probably healed by then, but that side of dio was weak and destroying a stand is not regeneratable i think
I think it's also because jotaro combined his own strength with star platinum s. If u notice, star platinum is superimposed over his hand and they punch together. This is not an asspull as it has been done before. Remember when jotaro uses the superimposed leg of Star platinum and jumps rlly high against the blind stand user..
Dio uses it too to punch the road roler from above and forcefully crush jotaro underneath...
Since jotaro was strong enough to beat up a fully grown man while he was still a toddler( remember allesi?), Then he must have superhuman levels of strength at 17-18 years of age.

Also Dio: Gets hit in the leg really really hard and dies
Araki: Yes this makes perfect sense
His head literally exploded after the hit. So he can't regenerate like when Johnathan cut him in half, his head is still there and can be retrach while this is gone. Why did he explode? I have no idea.
Also, Dio's vampiric abilities seem to be weaker in part 3.

@@KingMarioThe1st ye, rip. I think the reason why Dio decided to kick him instead of punching, probably cuz he wanted more range for the final blow to finish Jotaro quickly. Legs is longer than arms after all, but he underestimated him, even Jotaro blinded for a few seconds he still has such precision and countered it. Led to Dio's defeat.

Jen was like "Oh no.." when star platinum's hand shattered, but when Dio's leg broke a little bit, she started vibing like vivi, Later than when Dio was being sliced in half, Jen did the "ON GOD???" face, pure golden comedy from my perspective. And Ken was absolutely speechless, He just started at Dio and nodding his face, thinking that it's not gonna be over that quick, Overall everyone had the same reaction- except for Jenn of course, I had a good chuckle from her reaction.
