I did mcdougal for 5 years straight ate as much as I wanted and that was a lot, a ton, too much really. I never held back. I lost 20 pounds and kept it off. I wanted to lose 20 more. Maximum weight loss did the trick! Now friends and family convinced me that it was too strict and I stopped vegan. Now two years later I'm 20 pounds back up. Starting Mcdougal again. I may do the Maximum weight loss but Mcdougal first. Good luck guys this is the way to do it just don't stop like I did.
Thank you for this video. So many people talk so much in their videos. It’s nice to get a lot of meal ideas in a short amount of time. I haven’t seen your other videos but I really appreciate this one because I’m trying to head to the grocery store on day 1. So subscribing!
I have tried this but haven't gotten them quite right yet... I steamed them until they were fork tender, then seasoned and then roasted in the oven. I wanted them crispier than they turned out. Maybe the air fryer would crisp them better... do yours get nice and crispy in the air fryer?
For maximum weight loss, Dr John McDougall, Dr Doug Lisle and Jeff Novick recommend avoiding dry starches like bread and air fried potatoes, and instead recommend eating starches full of water and fibre like baked potatoes, brown pasta or brown rice. Great channel.
I take a flat bowl and potato masher. I mash a banana into the bowl. I then add cooked oatmeal. Then I add tons of cut up apple, so much apple that it’s like a little bit of oats with lots of fruit. Get the ratio of fruit to oats really high on the fruit end. I do not use those prepackaged oats, they have a ton of dense sugar in them. That alone would 20:03 stop my weight loss. I think that salad dressing would stop me too. You are obviously very close to goal. That makes it tricky. Best of luck. Thanks for sharing. I forgot about the nutritional yeast gravy. I might make some tomorrow.
Wow, I watched some of your more recent videos and this and I have to say you can really see a difference. You look so much healthier and happier in your more recent content. These meals are great, realistic and affordable. Appreciate this video a lot.
So glad to see you smiling again, great video. I love my version of the cheese sauce , we all seem to tweak that recipe and make it our own. You are doing great .
When we start removing the water from our starches the calories density goes up and we need to eat more to feel full. You'll hear people say we need to be eating wet starches, that's why the mash, boiled and steamed potatoes keep us fuller longer, because they still have the water. Don't get me wrong tho, I LOVE my fries! But I try to have a balance... Thanks for the update and the video 💕 btw PENNY 😍😍😍
Yeah, I definitely learned that from Dr. McDougall and have experienced it like I mentioned...but yes, the balance between fries and wet potatoes is what I need, not all fries all the time! I think I found a good mix by putting the potato queso on top of some fries...just need to keep the portion to 50/50 with my veg! Thanks for watching! ❤😀❤ And yes, I'm very lucky to have my sweet Penny 😻😻😻
For my 50-50 in the morning I love a steamed baby bok choy or some steamed green cabbage, mixed with a cut up orange and a splash of balsamic and then my instant pot steel cut oats (5 minutes! Which I make every 5 days) with 1/2 banana and some blueberries. I really look forward to breakfast! You are looking awesome, I hope you are feeling good too? Keep up the good work!
I burst into tears this morning out of sheer anger and frustration! I must be doing too much starchy because I've put several pounds back on the last few weeks....it's unbelievable. I've only been losing a pound a month as well, I have zero metabolism lol I searched for maximum weight loss and found you ...thank you for sharing. I need super easy quick meals. I think I do much better with potatoes. Ive been on a huge sushi kick the last month, and I'm blowing up like a balloon!!
@@BeWellwithEBell do you think you would of lost more weight on the starch solution if cut down on starches ? I’m eating a lot of starch and it’s a slow weight loss.. before this I did basically salads no meat for 1 meal a day and in a month I would lose about 10 to 15lbs, and I think I did cut out potato’s and rice when I did the only salads.
The hot dog toppings like relish on the potato is genius! I need to try that. Maybe u can also try making a carrot dog; i had one once, pretty good. What were the round things from earlier? Im thinking mushroom stems.
Every morning I eat organic quick oats with frozen fruit and a little maple syrup with a side of sautéed spinach & mushrooms. That’s my favorite go to breakfast.
Sounds yum!!! 😋 I prefer savory breakfasts and tend to have my oats in the afternoon or evening. Definitely one of those eat-for-any-meal type of foods!
I know the foods that you are eating in this video are very healthy, but I'm wondering why there's no vegan protein like tofu or lentils or beans being consumed at all? I'm not familiar with this particular weight loss plan. Very curious about it. Thanks!!
Great video! Have you tried rolled oats or instant pot steal cut oats and frozen mixed berries or maple syrup? You can get the frozen mixed berries in the 48oz size at Meijer. If you put the frozen berries into your oatmeal they melt down and give the oatmeal a sweetness. Also I found that adding frozen riced cauliflower equal portions to the amount of oats and then the frozen mixed berries is bomb and gets that 50/50 in there:) Also for when the fresh broccoli gets expensive the birds eye frozen 52oz is a great bargain. Simply microwave for four minutes and done! Maybe not getting rid of the oatmeal, but making a different more filling version of it🤣 I found that setting a rule of no eating past 7pm really helped with nighttime sweet cravings. I would also look up thylakoids(dark green leafy veg) by dr Michael Gregor. The more you eat the less your cravings will be. It’s weird, but it helped me😁 Also look up the Cram cycle by Dr Doug Lisle. He works with McDougall on the psychology of eating this way.
Thanks for watching! ❤😀❤ Yes, the first time I ate oats in this video it was regular instant oats. The following day I found the prepackaged stuff on clearance and couldn't resist... 😋 I find that I use way too much maple syrup when I make my own oatmeal so I thought the prepackaged might help me from over doing it. I definitely need to try mixing the frozen berries with the oatmeal like you recommended and maybe I can skip the maple syrup. Love Dr. Greger and Dr. Lisle, I'll check out your recommendations ❤❤❤
