Number one is straight up angst material, but I’m about to turn it into hurt/confort :>
Have a little me trying to experiment with hurt/confort dynamics-
-“mmh..” Wei Wuxian murmured, turning around in bed, slowly regaining consciousness and becoming aware of the missing usual warmth beside him. His eyes slowly fluttered open, as quiet sobs slowly made their way to his ears, the worryingly familiar voice finally dragging him to fully wake up and turn around.
“Lan Zhan?” He asked in a quiet and very soft voice, hoping not to startle the owner of the sobs too much. There was no answer. Wei Wuxian slowly crawled to the edge of the bed, and spotted his husband sitting with his back against it, only then noticing his ribbon had left his hair and was now in the other’s shaky hands. “Are you…” Wei Wuxian’s breath hitched. His husband was crying. Wei Wuxian didn’t say anything else, he quietly made his way to the side of the bed Lan Wangji was sitting against and slowly circled his arms around his shoulders from behind, kissing the back of his neck, and silently humming their song into his ear.
After a few minutes, Lan Wangji lifted his hand and held Wei Wuxian’s, giving it a tight squeeze. The latter didn’t spare one more second and hopped off the bed, tightly wrapping his arms around his husband, as the other clutched his back and hid his face in the crook of his neck, silently crying and repeating his name. Wei Wuxian ran his fingers through the Lan’s hair, in a soothing motion “It’s ok, my husband. I’m here, I’m okay.. and I will never go away again.
It’s a promise” -
Probably it’s kind of shitty as I didn’t even explain what was happening but well- i tried XD
I hope you liked it!
Maybe I’ll write a longer version and put it on AO3- who knows :^
