Not really. I only researched digital pianos with 88 keys before buying my FP-E50 but I think the Go Keys is a keyboard not a digital piano. The Action is different and the FP-E50 has the SuperNatural piano engine for piano sounds. It has the same synth engine as the Go keys as well - the Zen Core engine but thats for other sounds. It’s more of a stage piano with arranger features. Think of the FP-E50 as an FP-30X with addition of Zen Core sounds and arranger functionality.
Only if you have mains power - doesnt take batteries. Great Stage piano. Has jacks out for PA and can use built in speakers as monitors. Great MIC features with harmony and vocoder and effects. You can programme in Chord sequences for accompaniment.
While checking the FP e50 on YT, I saw few shorts (apparently from the same user) showing the keys are loud and making undesired mechanical sounds. Is this true or just a sore looser who got a bad unit?
Only had mine for a few months but action seems fine to me. I think it’s better than the Graded hammer action on my Yamaha CVP. The only problem I have seen which I found out after buying is that it is only single channel midi so is not mutitimberal. Not so much of a problem for me but it could be for some people who need to use it with a DAW. Cant play back layered or split sounds from a DAW so need to convert every track to audio.
@@davidmulcahy4864 thank you David for your quick answer. Good to know the keybed is all what is expected. Now for midi controller, I intend to use the E50 as piano mostly, for DAW recording I have the Arturia midi controller which is great for it. Recording sounds is a great way to add tracks for a more "humanized" feel than midi I think. I wish you the best and enjoy playing!!!
Great Video! Do you have anyway to compare the FP-e50 to the new Go:Keys5? Is the software basically the same?
