    Thank you all for over 2 million views!! That's really amazing for me, because it's a jazz solo and not a pop song. Best regards to all of you, wherever you are . . .

    The clarity with which he moves up and down the scales is to be admired. As a guitarist of 15 years, this takes an incredible amount of precision, and keeps reminding me to keep practicing.

    • @bsnf-5
      @bsnf-5 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Time don't matter as much. I've been playing guitar for more than 15 years, and I still can't play many techniques and I struggle to solo over more complicated standards (like for example Giant Steps). Like you said, practice is crucial, and I don't really like to practice. Lead guitar is tough, especially in jazz. In rock and blues you don't need that much knowledge and theory (although practice and skill still applies, just lower level of intellectual effort).

    I'm now transcribing this for the 4th time. Every time I'm having difficulty incorporating something particular into my playing, I come back and find it's being used in some fashion in this solo. Such a wealth of information in one place. Great use of the melodic minor! Thank you again Achim!

    Jazz is a style of music characterized by the blending of several different time signatures that creates a unique feel. Though complex, jazz is instantaneously recognized for its complexity and its mood/tone. This is a very great improvisation that passes the time quickly due to its fluidity and cleanness. Very impressed with this!

    I been playing for 8 years now and this is incredible! Cant even get close to it. The chord changes are way way harder than it looks and the fact that its was played so clean! Trying to start to get into jazz playing because its so smooth. This piece was awesome

Jazzstandards eben im richtigen Jazzsound zu spielen, mit allem was dazu gehört (coole changes/solos, tension, arpeggios, flowing lines, guitar octaves a la Wes Montgomery/George Benson), all das lernt man hier.
