Now why in the world would I pay over 1K more for a Evolve after this video GO MEEPO!
the hurricane is $1400 right now for the 2 in 1 with sea shipping (you have to wait 35-62 days to get it) or $1799 with air express (7-12 days) vs hadean bamboo $3100 / hadean carbon $3488 tax included. thats a $1301-$2088 difference. *with meepo you dont have to pay taxes
@@saulzg7 Evolve is honestly taking advantage of the ESkate community with those prices. I’m happy people are finally waking up & considering MUCH better options.
I don't have an Evolve Hadean but my Evolve Bamboo GTR is my favorite board to ride it just feels right, I've tried lots of others and have and Onsra Black Carve as well. Most boards are great fun but the Evolve has just had more tweaking and better quality, and everything on it has lasted longer, I think that's what costs extra more time and attention, it not just sticking parts together and selling a board.

Man I just got my Zeus this past Thursday... They aint lying about how Smooth it is at any and every speed..
And the motors are quiet as hell too.. If ur in a pack..the person in front of u won't be able to hear u coming.
I got it up to 40mph..
The range gets better once u break it in a bit.. I say after my 3rd or 4th charging cycle...my true range started to come into play..
I did 20 hard miles yesterday and had 2.5 battery bars left. In speed mode 2 u can cruise easily at 24mph

People have been building faster boards than the hadean for a long time before it was announced, it's just how you tune the board beyond building it.

Bought a used hurricane for 1000 with 120 miles on it. Absolutely love the board! It is so much fun compared to my zealot. Turns and handles fantastic and is actually really comfortable to ride. I rode it 21.8 miles the other day and it was just getting to 1 bar for the battery with off road tires. Highly recommend it over everything else

sticking with the evolve bamboo for the feel. ive always road a bamboo board and it just wouldnt be longboarding without it. absorbs so many bumps and cracks in the road so much easier on your joints. no other board on the market with this power on a bamboo deck. if you ride bamboo you know what i mean.

From when was the Zeus btw? On their website they say "the all new 2021 zeus with higher top speed and higher range"...was this the newer version or an older one?

I am on an evolve stoke and will prob go with either hadean, hurricane, or zeus. Do you still think the Hadean is the right choice ? Have you found any issues with the board ?
I just got ordered the hurricane yesterday I’m so damn stoked I can’t stop watching videos. The only thing that put me off was the double king pin I never really liked those long boarding but the deck looks low enough to make up for it a bit and I figured with the stiff carbon fiber deck it would compensate a little bit.
some great advice.. i purchase some exway cnc machined washers. there much taller then a standa washer so it surrounds/secures the bushing more on the bottom.. i put on on the rear with allll my dkp setups. i have zero issues hitting above 30mph and carving is still all there. doesnt compromise the turning/carving like other stiff bushings do

I have the Bamboo Hadean and love it, I am all about the carve so flex is critical, goes way fast enough and I am not worried about being the fasted kid on the block so not something I even think about.
Meepo will carve as well dame double king pin trucks. But the bamboo has flex so it will carve a little better for the liking of some people.
All up to personal preference with deck feel really they are comparatively powered but one is a lot cheaper. If you like the flex go the bamboo, if you don't mind a stuff sick and want to save money go the Hurricane. There's not much between them. But if you have a lot of hills the Meepo certainly seems to have a better pull in that category.

the hurricane is obviously better value. You could get two for < 1 hadean
@@jimmysyar889 yeah the Hadean is definitely more focused on the actual quality of the longboard, like parts, bushings and ride feel, where the hurricane is all about the electronics and specs while still being cheap

I’m super new to this hobby and went with the Zeus. I’ve been watching a bunch of videos on YT to help me decide and your videos have been way more informative than most. Keep up the great work 🔥! Two questions - are the Hurricane and Zeus deck width the same on the ends? The Hurricane looks a little wider in the middle?
Get some wrist/ palm guards… And ideally impact shorts and a jacket with shoulder/ elbows. These are fast and you will stack it! 🤙

@Fred - For low/medium speed cruising and carving would you pick the Hurricane or Zeus? I'm not into fast high speed runs. Or would you recommend something with a flex deck like the AT2? The Hadean is a little bit out of my price range.
if u dont need a lot of power and range, the at2 is a great choice. or a bamboo gtr.. (1300 after a ambassador code and black friday. i got if u need) the gtr has way more power and range than the at2. but if ur heavier i suggest the hurricane.
They are keeping up. The distance does not change even with FFD.
Great review, Meepo Hurricane is the best performing prebuild board definitely.
Molicel p42a cells in 12s4p and motor set at 2*35amps. Bottleneck is the Esc.
Endeavor pro has a better esc/Vesc but bottleneck is the battery. So the Vesc can most likely only be set at 2*25amps. Difference --> 50% less performant then this Meepo.
But no competition for a Vesc board with high discharge battery, that setup is again 100% more performant then a Meepo.
If I had no other DIY boards, I would definitely choose the Meepo that is now in sale for 1300dollar 😲.
The range measurement was it done with the same acceleration/average speed between all boards?

There's two versions of the zues pro basically. The 786wh and the 936wh version. The lower battery version is actually faster than the 936 because it can use higher voltages. I'm guessing these guys bought the slower version thinking it's was the better one.
this is wayyyyy before the zeus pro came out. this is the orignal zeus.. i have the zeus pro on our newer videos
Fred can you tell us the what size motor pulleys these are all using or overall gear ratio for each? It's pretty impressive that meepo is getting to the tops of those hills with a fairly small wheel pulley, but then again we don't know what they are running on the motor side.
I noticed that you put the shred light skate board mount on the Hadean. Did you use the original screws that can with the hadean to mount it? Or did you need different screws?
im pretty sure i used the same screws. don’t remember tho.. but amazon has longer ones for $6

Absolutely love the video! I do love the looks of the Evolve Hadean and the Ownboard Zeus. But the Meepo Is a over engineered masterpiece. The board was literally engineered to go up hills at full speed constantly, and not overheat. I just love the dedication that Meepo put into the board it is a lot more cheaper than the other two boards. I'm more of a performance and a SPEED JUNKY guy so, I'll definitely get the meepo hurricane.
I took my Hurricane out the other day on my 1st ride and I also had this weird tinging/clancking noise, did you ever find out what it was?

@@paperlessdigs6169 33 isnt impressive. 31mph is done with 97mm wheels on the hadean. u put 107-120 ur easily at 33mph.. but like i said, were not really into straght line high speeds. id like to see the board achieve that range and the 36mph

You didn’t mention the weight of the riders. I assume they were all the same weight? Also the Hadean comes with the 7”/66T out of the box which has about a 10% lower overall gear ratio than the 6”/47T. It would’ve been interesting to see how the acceleration and hill climbing compared to the Meepo with that setup, even though top speed is limited to 26mph.
@@ericlyman7992 yes I know, but the Hadean isn’t available with that setup. It comes with 7”/66T.

To me doesn't matter the torque or takeoff... When ur doing group rides..range is the most important factor.. So with that I would choose the Zeus because of its top speed and range.
Meepo hurricane is a beast...but they have alot of issues.

Hello, can you put evolve 6 inch AT on the hurricane using the meepo pulleys?
Thanks for this! I'm shocked that the Zeus is that sluggish with 6 inch pneumatics. With the 120mm clouds I've hit 60km/hr on 25% battery and bombed up really steep hills at 50km/hr. I'll have to run some test when I get a set of the pneumatics myself. I'm more interested in your personal take on all three since your riding skill, weight and familiarity allows you to max each board out. Three premium boards.
Have you tested it with 6" pneumatics yet?

Hurricane is compatible with any wheel/pulley. Not sure about the hadean

Got the hurricane. but for 200 more the ownboard seems okay as well. bit better battery and more speed and carbon. aimed at speeds and street. the meepo is more agile and flexible i think.?

At 8:52 you got top speed for Hadean and Hurricane, but no details for the Zeus? What was your top speed stats for that?
Because I've hit over 30+mph on my Zeus AT Wheels with the standard 60T wheel pulleys it comes with.
Yeah something aint right here.. I've seen other guys hit at least 35 with at wheels on the Zeus too.
That "35mph" stat is under optimal conditions like street tires, low rider weight, no wind resistance, perfect surface grip and zero incline at the least. IMO

the belt covers do not fit the same from the gtr which they actually sent me with my hadean. if they did the same for u, jus email em. no problems with my hadean. tons of problems with my hurricane tho. been down for 2 months now
The Hadean is very well made. Evolve have done a good job this time around. 👌
The Zeus comes with 99a bushings. Would prob perform way better with the right combo riptides
It is possible to switch to high quality softer bushing, but how to get harder bushings? It may be an issue for heavy riders. (I feel concerned, I can't ride any board with the standard bushings, it is always too soft for me).
@@boardenjoy2805 tighten a lot.. but you’ll burn through ur bushings faster. Loosen when ur not riding the board.
@@boardenjoy2805 lol just buy harder bushings if you need harder bushings. Riptide makes some of the best bushings available and they have different durometers to suit your weight. The higher the durometer, the harder the bushing.
@@gregholland11 The Zeus bushing is 99. The max duro of APS riptide barrels is 97.5. It seems that the Zeus trucks geometry need harder bushings than what is usually sold for longboards.
More Amps means more power, more power the battery drains faster. Zeus was the last board standing because its the weakest of them all, less power more battery life. It looks like the hurricane is set to 35a per motor, hadean has 25-30a per motor while the zeus got 15a per motor. I have an Eovan Carbon Pro and i set it to 60a per motor on the vesc tool. I just wish Fred would do a comparison between the Eovan and these 3 boards.
I've ridden the eovan it wouldn't come close to the hurricane
@@FordsFilms you compared them both side by side? If not then your words are irrelevant. I have mine set to 60a per motor idk why it wouldn’t come close to the hurricane, in fact it might beat the hurricane of the line but the hurricane would catch up since it has higher top speed.
@@nickohhlie9468 60a per motor with a battery that can supply 60 to each motor and an aggressive throttle curve with matching gearing it should beat the hurricane, standard settings the eovan feels pretty weak to me so just needs some tuning which it can do fortunately
