I've been watching content creators for starting a private practice for years. This is the first video I've seen of yours and it was SO much more helpful than anything else I've seen.

How come all of the places that help establish businesses only help with LLC’s?! I’m in Texas so we have to have a PLLC and none of the places like Tailor Brands or legal zoom help with the Pllc

Hi, Brent. I’m confused about and s corp with a designation of a PLLC. How do you get the designation? What does that entail?

Thank you for this question! I'm not a tax expert but I believe it has to do with a "tax pass-through" provision. If you do a little digging around Google or ask a tax accountant they can have a definitive answer for you. Cheers!

I’ve been seeing many conflicting pieces of information regarding the NPI 1 and NPI 2 and I’m looking for clarification.
I currently have an NPI 1 with my current place of employment and am in the process of starting my own Part Time private practice. My plan is go down the LLC pathway, despite the practice being just myself. Because of this, won’t I have to apply for an NPI 2 (despite being a “group” of 1) in order to prevent healthcare fraud?

This is how several of my clients have done this. They have an NPI number for their private practice BUSINESS and another NPI number for their own personal license.
This FAQ page answers those questions towards the top: npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/help/help-home
