Many claim that this was the forgotten generation, but I, for one, did NOT forget when these came out! I still hold a place in my heart for this generation nonetheless!
To dispute an earlier comment this is a 76 model. And this does not have alloy wheels but regular rally wheels but none the less a beautiful car. 73 through 75 had single round headlamps. 1976's had dual headlamps, diamond pattern grille and solid taillamp lenses unlike the 77 grille which had vertical bars as did the taillamp lenses. In high school in 1981 in Hamilton Ohio a friend, Craig Marcum, had this same colored car with 70 SS stripes, Corvette rally wheels and 60 series white letter tires, bench seated cloth interior, auto on the column and dual exhaust with glass packs and a rear sway bar. Man did I love this car. Anyone who ever rode in one of these always commented on that crazy gas gauge that acted more like a tach with its movement. hahahaha Wish I had known about this car 3 years ago.
Awesome car. So nice to see one in this condition now. About 25 years ago my brother and I converted one just like this to an asphalt circle track race car. Back then we didn't think it would ever be worth anything and the sad part is, it was a true SS.
Reminds me of my late paternal grandmother's and later my late youngest paternal uncle's car. Their's were a more electric blue, column-shift, slightly different dash, remember a "GEN" light on their dash. The one break and concession my paternal grandfather made with cars. He was a Ford man through and through. He had a 1979 F-150 custom, dual gas tanks, took my sister and I for rides in it all the time when we were kids and an 1987 Crown Victoria he had from when it was new till the day he died.
Same here! My 1977 Malibu had a column shifter and not that cool Monte Carlo dashboard; it was that typical 1970’s horizontal family car dashboard going from 0-100.
I love It! I own a 1975 Monte Carlo Landau & I love It & I will never part with It until I die! 😍👍
I had that identical car back in 1989 and I really liked it.

You get these very often. I’d like to find one.
Seems a little high on the price considering the condition of the interior. Plus being a stock Malibu and not a Laguna

Original paint job? If you got metallic paint, it turned into sandpaper in a few years and a cracked dashboard if you lived in a hot climate
Believe that’s a 77
I had a 77 I think your right
@@johncritch6812 77 was the only year for the double front headlight.
@@YourLocalShooter Nope. ‘76 was the first colonnade with dual headlights.
77 ?
yea only 77 had double front headlights.
