    Fantastic. You would be the only one like it at the car show. Bac in the 90s a friend had a 76 in good shape, great fun to cruise around in. Thanks

      The front is from a order car, and I thinking the back to. I know because I had a 1977 with the stacked lights in front. Stille a beautyfull car. Congratulations!

    No cracks on the dashboard, that’s a miracle for a 1970’s GM car!

    Malibu have square head light starting in 1976? Thoughts are round like in 1975

    I had a '77 and it had four square headlights. That looks like a '75

    • @RamblinAround

      Somebody else mentioned that. I'm not sure if they have the year wrong on the windshield or if someone has modified the front end. I'd have to look into it.

    Not a 77. It’s a 75 or 76. 77’s have 4 headlights and different mirrors

    2:22, the car has either rarely left the garage or never been in a hot climate. GM cars had easily cracked dashboards in the 1970’a

      I had a 73 Chevelle Malibu, all so had a 77 Malibu classic, it was black with a landou roof. Factory swivel bucket seats. Had the 305 engine. Lost in a divorce
      Loved that car. Would like to find one to restore. Sorry about the long letter.

    You know you’re getting old when you see right away that the headlights and grill are a 1977 Chevelle, not a Malibu! The Malibu had two square headlights on each side and the more baseline Chevelle had one round one on each side.

  • @DocBain1

    Sorry, but this car is a base 74 model based upon headlights and grill. I have owned a 75 Malibu since it was new and the grill is different and that was the last year of round headlights. All 76 on Malibus had rectangular headlights.

    • @Lucille69caddy
      @Lucille69caddy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope. It’s a ‘75. It was my first car. Single round headlamps. Tail lights were different on the ‘74. ‘75-‘77 were similar to this.

  • @SteveHolsten
    @SteveHolsten 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I mostly love the car besides a weak 305 & no A/C. It's a wonder it wasn't ordered with an inline 250.
    Thanks for the great video though Jeff!

    • @RamblinAround
      @RamblinAround  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, just needs a some more power. I wouldn't want to live with the 305 either. Thanks for taking a look my friend!

    Headlights are wrong for a 77. Those are 74-75 headlights. 76-77 had vertical quad headlights

    • @RamblinAround
      @RamblinAround  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do believe you're right, I'll have to look into it. I was just going by what they had posted on the windshield. Thanks for watching!

    Am i the only one that knows that IF the odometer numbers are OFFSET, the odometer has rolled OVER the 100,000 mile mark and more likely 200,000+ miles. I wish all you youngsters would pay attention to the odometer numbers, IF and ONLY if the numbers are straight across and lined up then the odometer hasn't rolled over. Buyer beware.

    A big fan of clean, original, unrestored cars. Not a big fan of 2bbl carbs. I would probably swap for a 4bbl with the intake and a dual exhaust.

    • @RamblinAround
      @RamblinAround  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm the same way, I'd have to have an four barrel and aluminum intake on there. Thanks for taking a look!

      LeRoy Winnie 1976-1977 had the baseline Chevelle that had two round headlights instead of four square. Ford and Chevy always had these minor differences, like the 1968-1969 baseline Ford’s didn’t have covered headlights like the LTD.
