  • My garden recovered a little from the deer attack, but I need to relocate some plants and check on the potatoes.

What do you think may have cause those potatoes to go bad?

Maybe the worm. Or just an odd spot of moisture.

Sorry about your potato harvest. Potatoes are hard to grow in the south. Ours wouldn’t cure right. They lasted about three weeks in the refrigerator but started rotting. So we enjoyed them for a very short time. Like you, I planted them back in my oversized potato pot. Maybe some of them will grow 🤷🏻‍♂️. You’re helper is really growing up.

@@LSatch I didn't check, but I think the potatoes in the box are actually big. A while back, when I was doing something (moving pumpkins, I think), I accidently uncovered a few golf ball sized ones at the top. I put some dirt on them and left them alone. I probably should check them later in the fall. I think the bags just don't work unless you constantly keep them wet or something. I did try to water them as much as possible. Oh, well.
Yes, my little helper has gotten tall, but she'll always be my little helper.

@@leisurelylogan I think you’re right about the water. Hard to keep them well watered. I think the bag acts as a wick.

@@LSatch I need a new water bibs (front and back), from there I could restart my automated drip system. I guess that might be what I spend my money on next spring, instead of some more beds.
