Maru has such godlike positioning, It felt like he was constantly being active on the map, juking the army of Clem into a bad position then quickly rotating to an unsecured location to capitalize. Very impressive.

33:00 I can't believe Clem gave up on that base?! His army was right there, it would've taken 5 seconds to target down that totally unprotected CC Maru was trying to turn into a planetary. That absolutely is a game-winning opportunity for Maru, because you are exactly right at 34:50--going after it 2 minutes later means Clem has to commit much harder to take it out and that makes the rest of Clem's bases vulnerable for Maru's gazillion ravens.
Clem had a much slower army. If he defended that base Maru gonna split his fast army and destroy his entire right side of the map and Clem couldn’t do the same since a lot of his dps were from liberators which don’t do anything to building. That’s my attempt to read Clem movement. Feel free to disagree.
Real treat to watch. Late game scenarios like this are also interesting to theory craft. I wonder if pros ask to resume from replay to test out different strategies/tactics. For example, I wonder if it's better to just pull the trigger on a base trade vs ravens earlier instead of dancing back and forth whenever Maru threatens to move out. By moving back and forth without engaging, you're letting raven energy build up. But maybe Clem thought it was unnecessary to risk a base trade since he killed so many bases in the early part of the game.

i dont know why clem didnt make more planetary, they are very good vs mass marine. with mass repair they can single handedly stop a marine push unlike siege tank liberator wich make short work of planetary.
That moment when Lowko mentioned the units in red are faster immediately reminded me of one of the most iconic lines from Mobile Suit: Gundam. Maybe Maru IS Char!
EMP isn't reliable against raven, as long your oponnent have a few marines and tanks the disables can't land before the ravens get their casts off, clem mistake was going mass lib, they do nothing besides killing tanks while raven can counter tank, marine and viking if you are good they are so awfull that maru don't even bother disabling libs, just look at this 17:16 clem moveout against a guy who has ravens, got caught off sieged with no marines to hold the line and dunked

Terrans need to use strip mining more. Drop 20 mules on an exposed base or even the enemy base (if no PF or army nearby) - doesn't even need a nearby CC, just steal the minerals from your opponent.
I honestly look at a game like this and can't even comprehend the apm required to manage these armies let alone maintain supply and upgrades. It seems half a second goes by and a possibly game winning game engagement has occurred; meanwhile they are both microing their armies, spellcastining, producing and researching. As a player who has played very little terran(compared to serg and protoss), this seems like madness.
sometimes in a match like this it would help to just spam the map with barracks because high hp and cheap and you can bring out a wave of rines after a big engagement quickly
Whenever the Raven is explained, we go over the spells but not the fact that it is passively a spotter/detector. Not massive in the matchup, but still a skill it has to make it a swiss army knife.
Lowko, aways keep explaining what each units does, its seems silly but keep in mind the change logs of the game and new players are aways coming. sometimes i watch your old videos wich some ahbilits doesnt exist anymore, i mean... its a good way to check what the game was in the past. thanks for the cast once again.

Explaining the Raven each game, feels like explaining the star block to a toddler, You know the circle and tryangle with 3 points, the cube everyone knows but the start with 1,2,3,4 and even a 5th point. still appreciate it though.
I only watch you for casting, (everyone else has an annoying voice or sucks in comparison) i like to watch Uthermal, but hes a player, i genuinely love your casts. keep up the good work man.
21:34 clem scans the top left maru base, can't do anything about it. would be interesting to see ghost+nuke mixed in to these TVT late game positional battles. Edit: 28:40 clem scans again, sees it freshly mass muled, still can't get there with his army!
I generally enjoy watching Lowko's casts, but something that drives me mad is when he clicks away from the battle to stare at a building on the far side of the map! It's like Lowko! There's a big fight happening and you're staring at a Command Centre!
StarCraft use to be my favorite PC game as a kid, watching these matches is very enjoyable for me. I wonder though, how come in pro play no one ever sets up any defense structures to protect their base? U never see bunkers, cannons, or sunkens in these games

Clem should have gotten some ghosts, it would have been expensive gas-wise, but EMPing those ravens would have been huge.
The problem would've been landing the EMPs. His micro and positioning were god tier. He's one of the best for a reason.
