Awesome video! I knew there was a way to do this with 'coil' but I just couldn't figure it out. I do have a problem, after I create the loft and thicken, there is a gap on the root of the prop blade - to explain a little better, its the inner coil geometry making contact with the cylinder and due to the thickness of the blade, one blade face does not make contact with the cylinder. Hopefully this makes sense...I would love a hand cleaning this up if possible! Thanks!

AHHH :D I figured it out, when I used the 'thicken' command, I selected symmetric as opposed to one side. Going back and selecting one side, it 'thickens INTO the cylinder. Cool thanks again, great videos!!! :)

My software will not allow 0 revolution as shown on your tutorial. Is there a setting that can be changed? I am using the free version if that makes a difference:?

You can try set it to 0,2 or something near that. If that doesn’t work you can set a full revolution but just extend the coil a lot higher. If you do the math you can set it to 1 and just make your height 5x higher than what I did in the video

Wouldn't it be a little bit more straight forward to create the blade with a sweep (sketch a radius line and surface sweep it along an axis line)?

It could be. Give it a try and see. Often I just do what makes sense to me because I haven’t thought of another way of doing something. So long as you end up with the correct model you are on the right track
