    I like the conveyor, but I'd like to see two chains, one on each side, with a pan in the middle, like the old time grain lifters. Otherwise, the shape and trailer look good!!

    I'm just a home owner that splits for my own use. However, that doesn't mean I don't like to save time, and make my work as easy as it can be made. I've owned a "big box store" splitter for years and my Ultra just blows it away. I'll consider putting the new pusher on...looks like a good idea. Great that you make it so it can be retrofitted to my splitter. Thanks.

    Good move on the bigger push plate. It needed it. Now we need a handy place to park the pickaroon between rounds.

    Might it be even better making it just a bit bigger (maybe 1" higher, 1" wider)? It still seemed to splay just a little bit; but it was noticeably better than the previous one.

    This is amazing news. It looks great and seems to fix the problem of the block spinning out when it hits the wedge. I've got an Ultra on order and the small push block was the one thing I was worried about but not anymore. Thanks for listening Andrew and making the fix.

    the only thing distinguishing this splitter from other machines is the conveyor . it's not speeding up the cutting and splitting process , the labor is the same as in cutting to length and lifting the logs onto the machine etc.

    The main reason that this set up, and all of your others for that matter, are such a good investment is because of you, and the guys that work for you. I have read enough comments, and watched enough videos to know that your interaction with your customers is the best insurance for both them and you. I know how much you have put into this business, and it's you that is making it work.

    Is this new pusher plate for the ultra twice as big as the old one? This one certainly had no issues with the firewood round you put through it. Your analogy for R.O.I. on firewood was an interesting one comparing it to the cost of an excavator and its billable hours of run time.

  • @Alan_Hans__
    @Alan_Hans__ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I thought from the first minute of the video that the big surprise was going to be that you're now selling cable ties for measuring blocks ;)
    The bigger push plate will be a good thing. I reckon you could even go a few extra inches each way. It's gotten rid of some of the blooming that you see when the wood is wider than the pusher. There's a good example at 9:52 . The downside is the having the bigger push plate allows a greater off axis force to be generated which results in more thrust onto the bearing surfaces for the pushplate.

  • @bhilton81
    @bhilton81 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Andrew, though Ive told you many times that I would rather have a Axis machine in my firewood yard, this little machine you show us here looks to be very fantastic for the smaller to medium logs...The White Oak I split here is 30" average diameter, and I dont see a lift on this machine...It took me 5.5 hours of splitting today to get 1 full cord ready for delivery tomorrow, I do have a 30' conveyor so I dont have to throw the wood, thank goodness, because it is very heavy wood...Machine looks great.

    Neat that’s a pretty slick upgrade. I’m finally getting around to getting wood bucked and split. Did a whole 6x10 dump trailer of rounds the other day. Sure would have been faster with the splitter I really want the 22-28. I can really see the benefits of the big multi way heads. One touch wood production. My ole splitter works but if I get bigger I don’t know if it can produce enough or o stay ahead of supply and demand.

    amazing improvement. You are always looking for ways to do things better and making a high-quality machine. My feedback: the analogy of making $125 an hour splitting firewood is not reflective of the time bucking, stacking, moving finish product if in bins, loading, delivery, stacking time, etc. Nor does it reflect the chainsaw, fuel, repairs, sharpening, maintenance, truck, mileage, etc expenses in selling a cord of firewood.

    I'm on the fence about purchasing the ultra because I live in Arizona and I can't seem to find a hydraulic splitter that won't overheat, 6 to 7 months of the year I can only run the hydraulic splitters for approximately 1 hour before they get to hot.
    Therefore I have been using kinetic splitters because they don't overheat. Problem is they really can't handle the big stuff.

      He is working on it. I believe he said he is purchasing a new laser cutter that cuts the steel about 9 times faster than his current setup. That and a larger paint booth and more welding stations. Ultimately, he is hoping to be down around 8-12 weeks for delivery once they work through the backlog.
