- In this video, we take you through the process of building a sustainable straw bale cabin from start to finish. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a professional builder, you'll find valuable information on straw-bale construction technique.
Key Features of the Straw Bale Cabin:
Total Floor Area: 36 sq.m.
Terrace Area: 38 sq.m.
Foundation: Ground screws
Insulation: Straw bales for the floor, walls, and roof
Roofing: Stone slates
Facade Cladding: Burnt and oiled wood
Interior Finish: Clay plaster and wood cladding
Purpose: Short-stay rental - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
The Video and the quality of the build is another level. Its going to be the warmest and Cosiest house around in winter. Bail is a great insulator.
Great way to insulate a space cheaper and healthier than factory made material, but, never let water, bugs, critters or fire get in the walls, but of course you already knew that, 👍🏻
Hello great video on building your straw cabin. Can't wait to see more videos on the progress of your homestead
Lovely build bravo great work❤
Great job indeed for both building and editing !!! 👍👍👍
Now that is a pretty sweet cabin, nice job
DOBRA ROBOTA.DZIĘKUJĘ.KIEDYŚ MYŚLAŁAM ,ŻE ODSTĘPCY,TO LUDZIE ,KTÓRZY WYRZEKLI SIĘ BOGA JEHOWY,PANA JEZUSA I BIBLII
Congrats! And great job filming!
Looks great!
That's a cool little place!
Love this!
Frumos, confortabil, sănătos! Să vă bucurați de ea!
Литва? :) Двойной каркас, стойки Ларсена. Сено вместо опилок или минваты - это неплохо. Главное защитить от мышей и огня.
Хорошая работа❤молодцы😊

Beautiful, the slate roof is amazing. Question though: with all the material you anyway had to buy, would some higher-densitiy, flame-retardant eco insulation really have made such a difference? Keeping fingers crossed that you don't get a family of mice moving into your wall cavities...
I like the compression methods shown.
If you have not COMPLETELY sealed the inside with a vapor proofing method, moisure WILL get into the walls, and may not escape. I would recommend large overhangs, and using a dehumidifier inside to keep moisture levels low.....
Seems you did not make efforts to provide a way to let moisture escape on the outside walls (no air space between straw and plywood )........and,was there a way for moisture to escape from the roof bales?
Looks good, but very pricey, and possibly destined to fail, without continual dehumidification.....
Best wishes, let us know if you handled the moisture problem in a way that you did not show.
Wow! This is really good. The construction is solid. Are there any plans available and more in depth knowledge somewhere?
Currently, I'm working on my book about straw bale and straw panel construction. The book is in its final stage of editing and will be available on Amazon and other major book retailers. I've included blueprints for building this particular cabin in book's content. If you're interested I can give you a notice once the book is out.
@@raimondasbruzas2833 that's great! Thanks
@@raimondasbruzas2833 I would love that~!
nice video guys……where is the placeof the building?..which country?

cordwood, or log for that size WAAAY BETTER.
The headline is clickbait, this is not a straw bale build. That would require mud, sand, water and straw. Then a stucco type outer shell. Don't even need framing. Also using dry straw as insulation seems like a bad idea to me. After sometime that straw will breakdown and turn to dirt which will mean you no longer have insulation.
I think there's lots of people who build these in Europe and say you're wrong.
Stucco is on the inside, not the outside....
OR maybe it is a cabin for the straw bales?
Тупее утепления я не виделю
this make ZERO sense.
А мышки?
