Yess, more undercover content. This is the ONLY game imho that needs a fully fledged PROPER remake. The map, story, and core concepts were absolutely the perfect formula for a good nfs game.
This game would have been amazing if EA hadn't split Black Box into two teams, put pressure and gave the team that ran Nfs Undercover 1 more year of development the game would have definitely been amazing and well remembered by the community...
i am having fun with this game, i liked it, i know it could have been much bigger than this but its underrated... it didn't deserve all that hate.. i mean there are other nfs games that deserves the hate, like nfs shift, nfs 2015. but not nfs undercover
Replayed undercover and sped through the game after not touching it since i was a kid. Its as fun as i remember it being, i had a blast. However i recommend not beating the game in a day it kinda takes out the fun especially if you have played it already.
could be possible. the ps2 undercover is basically a port of carbon so you can easily port the carbon map over and it works just fine besides some issues with the skybox.
Man I love this game but there needs to be more done, has one of the best driving physics to date that only gets better with mods.. the only thing I wish was different is the hud, I just want something reminiscent of mw or ug2.. but that also goes for carbon too.
Lmao it’s so funny you say that. A lot of people actually hated the physics but I actually loved how it felt fresh new, and definitely felt more like bad ass driving. Maybe some people had a skill issue? Lmao
I only finished this game once but can't say that to carbon underground 2 What i feel weird about the handling and its hard to explain The cars feel floaty and light the chase camera feel too fixed, when you use handbrake your car gains traction too easily I really disliked that the opponent had all set cars , like they didn't random the looks of them , the game was either too bright or too dark, i wish cops used a bounty system like most wanted or don't add them at all , make them part of the fun or remove them entirely Don't add them because you felt obliged The map was very weird , either too long highways or small cities , the jump physics were outta place Yeah its really hard to enjoy Undercover The car selection was great but you unlocked upgrades for cars slowly so while there are feels like 50+ cars , i could only use 3-4 at max per run or i got broke Definetely the most half cooked nfs Oh and had really bad sense of speed , all cars felt like understeering oh boy I really could go on and on how many things didn't feel right
i enjoyed it. i couldn't finish it after i started playing but just recently i decided to give it another shot with only the mods that i have used for this video installed and for me it's alright. it defo feels like a spin-off more than anything, but it's still fine.
lol i emulated it on my phone for a bit. not a huge fan of it but ig its unique. imma look and see what i can record with it tho, ty for the suggestion!
But why did this game just look way worse than 3 of the games that came out before it? Did they really not get any chance to polish it up? I'm sure this isn't how BlackBox wanted to release it.
they had some nice graphics for the x360 demo (you can search nfs undercover xbox 360 demo for some gameplay), unfortunately i think they ended up downgrading the visuals for performance.
Because Black Box wanted to have more 3 years to finish the game but EA forced them to release 1 NFS game per year. The development was very rushed similar to Most Wanted 2.
@@Blue_Y2K6167That's the reason why people prefer the physics from Underground to Carbon. Started from ProStreet they were planning to make it too close to real time simulation but failed to make it in time to refine it. Good thing we had Need for Speed World where it is a combination of Most Wanted and Carbon with Undercover elements.
This game has ,, wasted potential" written all over it, deserved to be so much more.
yup, rightfully so.
Well, blame EA for rushing the game for completion of the 1-year game cycle…
That highway battle with cops felt cinematic asf

yep
If only this game got the love and care that it needed.

shift and 2015 are also completely fine. rivals deserves its criticism for that horrendous 30 fps lock. but they're all still pretty good games.
Nearly 2k!!

Finally you're playing a good game
bruh carbon and mw are good too 😭
Super unrelated note: the Lan Evo X colour scheme on this video looks like the HW color shifter version of the car lol
What if there was a mod for nfs mw 2005 that replaced rockport with the undercover map

yeah the tacho is quite nice but i dig uc's hud too. the hud i have here is the beta hud recreation mod tho.
@@cxlciummmiv yeah I figured that from the title, is the gradient in the bars beta do you think?
@@rillu_ bars beta?

@@cxlciummmiv I meant the beta versions heat bar if that’s the beta version, it goes from blue to orange.

I really disliked that the opponent had all set cars , like they didn't random the looks of them , the game was either too bright or too dark, i wish cops used a bounty system like most wanted or don't add them at all , make them part of the fun or remove them entirely
Don't add them because you felt obliged
The map was very weird , either too long highways or small cities , the jump physics were outta place
Yeah its really hard to enjoy Undercover
The car selection was great but you unlocked upgrades for cars slowly so while there are feels like 50+ cars , i could only use 3-4 at max per run or i got broke
Definetely the most half cooked nfs

Because the team who made it were split between making 2 games at the same time with an absurd schedule. Play prostreet and you’ll see.
Need a video on Need for speed most wanted 510 psp
lol i emulated it on my phone for a bit. not a huge fan of it but ig its unique. imma look and see what i can record with it tho, ty for the suggestion!
Bro posted a modded game and is calling it the beta 💀
For me the best Dev for dividing team to build game is Naughty Dog. Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us.
yeah i didn't play any of them but i know they're really solid games.
But why did this game just look way worse than 3 of the games that came out before it? Did they really not get any chance to polish it up? I'm sure this isn't how BlackBox wanted to release it.

Dev team was split in half, with the other half working on Pro Street. They also had skate and other titles that needed to be released that year.
blackbox: how can we make this game look like shit 🤔
they had different plans for the game's graphics but ended up removing them due to performance issues most likely
Blame EA for rush the development, not Black Box which wanted to create a decent game.
The issue with this game was their physics. It's similar to ProStreet. Very unplayable.
they're fun tho
The physics feels different from Prostreet at some aspects, the steering are not stiff and the cars are very grippy.
