I'm showing this video to my high school students tomorrow to introduce Women's History Month and a groundbreaking composer.

Very interesting to see a video about a medieval women composer! Could you do Saint Kassia for the next video please?

I've got every single video in March already created, but since there are far fewer days in March than worthwhile female composers, I had to cut many. I'll get around Saint Kassia in April when request fulfillment resumes.

Well, she was a nun, living forever in Abbey since child, she learned read and write, amazing feature in that time to woman, she has all day, mean 24 hs, pray,, cook and clean with her comrades. There are plenty of time to create something out nothing, no work for pay bills or feed family. The human spirit cant tolerate inactivity, boring is something that force you explore around constantly, the air, the rain, the sun, star, critters on land, vegetable, flowers, read books that travelers bring, it infinite possibilities to do and create something out of ordinary i. Human need work, mental and physically. She was not ahead her time, she has more opportunity, knowing read and write. There is no entertainment that time, only story tellers to folks listen. She could write fiction story if she wanted so. The abbeys were wealth and mean to feed them all, because inheritance of land church took from the families. 80 year of life, she had time to create even electricity, just watching the lightning in storm. That what the wiser men in east, were able to discover the star, planets, measure the earth, created math, predict when Messias would be born in earth. German was state-city with progress in medieval Europe. There was architecture and art.
