Really enjoy your repair videos man, I nodded my QX7 for crossfire last night but don’t worry, I use good multicore solder and always clean up the flux residue with isopropanol 👌
Awesome, thanks. I have exactly the same issue with my QX7 & a dead short of 3.3v rail too. Had kinda lost hope but your helping hand goes a long way, looks like I'm going to attempt some tricky soldering now :p.
I’m looking through all the videos on the internet related to this and yours so far has been the most helpful in helping my find the potential problem; I just left my controller plugged in over noght and now it dosnt power on with brand new batteries and I’m stumped; any help would be greatly appreciated!
Old TV repairman ( retired ) . I have a project for you . Dont know if its possible but here is my idea . Take a multi protocol module for a Frsky X--lite and put it on the back of the Tango 2 . I sure wish Tbs would have done this then it would be the perfect quad radio . HaHa , I was just watching TBS Couch and it looks like there is going to be an upgrade to the Tango 2 for an external module bay :)
I tried to do the same with a burned Mamba F405 board but it is not recognized even in boot mode. Maybe flight controllers need some other software to load the MCU initialy?
Hello! My QX7 stopped turning on today, just hearing the speaker make really short noise when I'm trying to turn the radio on, how can I troubleshoot it? Thanks!
What about Qx7s, mine has recently died, where when I try and power it on it tries to I get the 4 or five dots going across the screen then it goes off, acts like a dead battery, I've tried removing the SD card, I've tried to put it in bootloader mode, Note the longer it sits for I can gain a few more seconds of it being on, I was able to see information on the screen momentarily before it turned off, I have crossfire mod, I also Have a charge lead with charge port allowing to keep the battery installed when charging, I normally don't have the radio turned on when charging, and know the radio worked before this last charge when I had the radio on for a brief moment when starting the charge. It's some type of power issue not sure where to look though. On my radio the 3.3v pad is further left on the radio and is in fact a dead short.
Can the Taranis x9d be modified to supply full power to run 2w on crossfire module rather then using external pack. Maybe rerouting a supply maybe just wondering. Keep up good work repairs and rippage always great to watch. 👍👍

That is awesome! You make it look so easy.

Always like your repair videos. In future videos please discuss your methodology. Why you pick the order of components to test. Thank you.

Love watch me repair things!
GREAT JOB! i have got the same problem, where can i buy the piece for then repair?

Another great video as always,

I think you'll have to check all the LDO's as well as a general inspection on the insides
Thanks for clear lesson !
I cant find that mcu in my country. Can i replace with stm32f207vet6? Thanks!
Livyu you are the guy !!!
Must be a stm32f205vet6 or is any stm32f205 okay
Same question
Bro my qx7 is recognising pc with bootloader but it won't power on just give a tik speaker sound....? Is it a msu problem or software issue?plz help
Well same thing happened to my pos qx7s. Where can I order that MCU? And thanks for video!

maybe a bigger transistor in place of the existing one that switches the VCC to the pin on the module bay.
Hi my qx7 stop working sd card not working!
Awesome! Where can one purchase the replacement MCU?
digikey
@@channelname8623 impossible!
Did you put brand new mcu that you can get from AliExpress? Do i need to install a bootloader before soldering to the mainboard?
no... OpenTX Companion knows the STM32 bootloader and connects to it. Just download the FW in Companion and flash it. That's it !
@@LivyuFPV did you use the same mcu or did you buy a new one? if you bought one please send me the link
Como se llama el componente a cambiar en la qx7
what temperature did you use for desoldering?
400 ish c 450
Great video 👍
Great repair, thanks for sharing, Like 1 👍👍👍👍
Good job!
hi guy can you help me?
My Qx7 access is not even 2 months old and is not powering on...I think i’ll ask the shop to sell me another controller instead.
