Speaking slowly makes perfect sense to me because when I was younger, my mom was either ADD or rude. She would never let me finish what I was saying before she started to talk over me. Now, to this day, I still find myself rushing to get my words out at times, afraid that if I take too long someone might stop listening. Or, maybe even feeling that I am boring someone. I love this tip!

I’ve always been a “toucher”- while listening, waitressing, my insurance clients now- it’s just my way and I feel people respond to it in a sincere way. I truly care about others and want to serve them- that gives me the confidence to make it always about them and never about me. People can FEEL that when they are with you and that will bring confidence to the situation because you aren’t thinking what’s in it for me...
One thing I like to do when I'm feeling down or insecure is I smile, like not a big one, just a small one, and keep smiling, it really makes me feel happy. Idk if this is kind of obvious but you can try it anyway.

What I tell my 14yo son is to not allow anyone to bully him and to ignore them if they try to pick on him cause all they want is a reaction if you dont react they will usually stop. However he does know if he is physically attacked to fight back even if you lose they will respect you for fighting back and usually leave you alone after that. Hope that is helpful.
Honestly, what I realized the only way to overcome bullying and make it permanent is by learning how to release what inside you causes you to get hurt by these bullies. All the insults, all the things that hurts you emotionally is because subconsciously you agree with what's being said by addressing the part of you who believes and release trauma you become free and start stepping up. I help people who struggle with social confrontations and social interactions through extensive amount of experience. The words of wisdom, inspiration and insight. This lady is so lovely, absolutely beautiful and incredibly clever. Her advice is spot on and I listen to her every word with intrigue and admiration.
Aw great one ma. I have big confident in my self in every thing I am doing in my life. I put confident first. Above all I strongly believe be live in my self. Trust me mrs I have confident in speaking to every body I meet with around me. I refuse to be nervous.
Be fake is what she’s saying. Act as if you’re interested, then people realise you don’t care they’ll think you disingenuous. Being known as a liar loses people trust. Great advice Marisa. How about spend time with people that share your interests and don’t waste your time(or there’s). Genuine confident people respect themselves and don’t have to lie to get people to like because they don’t fear others opinions. Question is what is fear though? Confident people are fearless, not to be confused with aggressive or manipulation like Marisa in inferring with this video.
Hello Marisa, I thought you were rather mesmerising and living proof that your advice works. I will listen to this video again... and maybe again... and absorb your wisdom. Thank you.

WOW I LOVE THESE PRACTICAL TIPS. Especially for women that have a hard time being confident around men they like. And I love the point about how it's not about making yourself look good, but actually making the other person seen. Like the quote says "The most interesting person in the room is the most interested person!". THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR WISDOM!!!

Actually most of them stumble words and are nervous but I have always found that feminine and attractive. I find these I dont "need" a man women a huge turn off. Men and women need each other just as God intended.
I use to speak with my hands a lot growing up. I struggled as a young girl with my self esteem. It’s been a heck of a journey to get here today. Thanks for sharing these tips because I’m always looking to learn how to be the highest version of myself.
You’re the sweetest thing I’ve watched on TH-cam, I almost teared .. I’d love to learn from you. I’m sure there’s a lot where that came from. Thank you so much for sharing 🤩🙏
I have done tiny small morning interviews for our auxiliary group and a few other community activities I was involved in previously. I never liked myself on these interviews‼️ Excellent presentation❣️
Watching a video you made for the first time, I decided to follow your channel.. based on the fact that you came across as very confident making me feel more intrigued by what you had to say. Another thing I realised, you speak clearly and slowly, I actually managed to sit through at least 4 videos now when I usually skip right through other channels because I loose interest.. thanks for all the motivation I have now implemented in my mind tonight. Will continue to watch your videos...
Just the thought that somehow each of us "is enough" is liberating. Yet maintaining that liberating motivation for very long is for many an overwhelming challenge when our routine experience, at home or work or anywhere, feels like we are staring down a firehose of rejecting feedback (e.g., do this, don't do that, you should, and so on) . . . making us feel like we cannot seem to do anything right enough . . . that we need to excuse ourselves for existing and, yes, the world would be a better place without us. Many of us feel immune to this feeling and thinking when things seem to be going well for us (e.g., seem accepted in our community, earn enough to live on, have someone that loves us), and yet it is obvious that these conditions are fragile, often not within our direct control, and frequently missing despite our best efforts. It's one thing for a wealthy rock star to figure out "they are enough" but many times more challenging for the average person and frighteningly out-of-reach for others not even doing average (e.g., no income, no food, no place to live). As global citizens, what can we do at an institutional level (i.e., not dependent on a person's bank account, talent or connections) to rethink, reconceive and regenerate the human experience so as to provide every person with sufficient personal resources (e.g., safe space, universally accessible support, second . . . sixth seventh eighth chances) to develop their self, rather than just keeping score and writing off the less successful as a troublesome inconvenience?
I am extremely thankful that I have been led to you. Thank you so much for sharing a wealth of knowledge that I needed rather desperately. I feel like I have been thrown a bit of a lifeline and I have on seem two of your presentations. I am thanking to God for blessing you for blessing us. Thank you sincerely
We aren't children. Who wants to be naive and receptive like a child. Children move forward into adulthood, expanding and increasing in self empowerment, they don't move backward into adulthood. You can be open hearted as a calm mature perceptive adult, but receptive is the result of agreeing with the energies being exchanged.
I'm sometimes nervous on the inside. But I present in a way that's very calm and confident. I've noticed it causes many people to be intimidated by me. I'm so composed it makes them nervous, haha.
Thank you so much Thank you so much for this videoThis is what I really need help with because I have really bad nerves I would love to be more calm and have more confidence and be more relaxed and talk slower and not be so nervous
Confidence is being yourself full force and knowing you're enough. We are not here to please people because it is not our job to make them accept us. Acceptance is our job. We can only be ourselves cause the mask creates pressure which eventually drives you crazy trying to be perfect. It's a bad vibe of insecurity also to be inauthentic. Beyoutiful. Legends were the ones who spoke their mind, stood for something and never doubted themselves. Life is too short to fake confidence... just accept yourself and your body language will be natural.
@@MarisaPeer Thank you for your question. My body posture, eye contact, smile and feeling connected to the people I am talking to make me feel confident. Thank you for your work once again. I immensely enjoy learning from you!❤

Can't we just be like a child? Open; receptive, non judgemental. Acting from the center of our being.
Like Dr Wayne Dyer 💜
We aren't children. Who wants to be naive and receptive like a child. Children move forward into adulthood, expanding and increasing in self empowerment, they don't move backward into adulthood. You can be open hearted as a calm mature perceptive adult, but receptive is the result of agreeing with the energies being exchanged.
Love love this. So simple 😍
Thanks
Thank you for sharing! Piece of jewel!
Thank you Marisa. I am very grateful for these tips.
Thank you for watching, which tip is your favourite?
@@MarisaPeer Speaking slowly.
I'm sometimes nervous on the inside. But I present in a way that's very calm and confident. I've noticed it causes many people to be intimidated by me. I'm so composed it makes them nervous, haha.
That's so true of a lot of people. That's why they are misunderstood x
Thank you, Marisa. I truly enjoyed your video and I am grateful for you today. Big hugs, Shasta

Thank you x
Thanks for sharing this great advice !!!
Love you Marisa. Thank you so much. You are absolutely brilliant.
