For us here in the UAE, the Apple Watch with GPS only, costs more than the one with GPS+CELLULAR!! I’m gonna get one soon after I convinced my dad to get it for me! Max Tech yes, the Apple Watch is really popular in my class so I will be getting one, however I already have a phone so I don’t need family setup. However I don’t see parents giving such an expensive device to a child under 10. However it is a good idea that the Apple Watch is cheaper than the cheapest iPhone and the data!

It can use TH-cam. She can use Facebook, instagram, and more. It's just named differently. For instance, TH-cam is named "watch tube" and instagram is named "lens"

Help! Which would you recommend: 1. Buy cellular watch & non-cellular iPad Mini or 2. Buy non-cellular watch and cellular iPad Mini for an 11 year old. The iPad Pro has an 120hz refresh rate which helps drasticly for drawing snd note taking with the apple pencil, if i were you i would buy the iPad Pro :) The iPad Pro has exellent battery life, the iPad Air pobably will too and both will most likely to recommend.

One problem I encountered while setting up a child is when I put my child’s current apple ID (since he has an ipad already) on the email address part, it is saying that this ID has already been used or taken. I have already set it up, but now, I’m wondering how to go about downloading complications (apps) directly from his watch. When I try to download from the App Store on the watch, I am prompted to enter his Apple ID, and password, which I do, but it just ignores my entry, and keeps asking over and over again. I’ve seen the option to share app purchases, but that isn’t working either. I know there’s no problem with the watch itself, because I’ve kept it in pristine condition.
Do you know if you can set up an Apple Watch for yourself this way? My pre-paid carrier doesn't support Apple Watch and I would be perfectly happy setting up a watch with TruPhone with a separate number. But I don't know if this is allowed.

you actually have to pay the $30 for a new number if you want your child to be able to use the cellular to call you while it is out and there is no wireless available. I found out the hard way, I bought this for my daughter because I didn't want to get her a phone and paid the $10 for wearable from tmobile, and I wanted to set up the family set up and it didn't allow me to set up the cellular. She can text and stuff while on the house with the wireless but since she doesn't have a phone line, the cellular set up is not available for the family set up. It seems that the only way to get cellular for the $10 is if the watch is set up for myself because I have my own telephone

Apple says you’ll need an lte watch and it can be series 4, 5, 6, or se. one benefit of the SE is they are charging $50 more for lte instead of $100 more with the other models so it could even be worth it compared to buying discounted older ones.

Sounds like you aren’t. With cellular you will get your calls, texts, and notifications anywhere even if you don’t have your phone and there is no WiFi. You can also stream music and use your Bluetooth headphones to listen without needing your phone, use GPS, and a lot more. Basically you don’t need your phone or WiFi. This is great for kids
Basically, you can leave your iPhone at home and go anywhere and get cellular service for phone calls and texts/data. Without being connected to WiFi either.

Before, I paired the watch via an iPhone that used wifi only. Today tmobile advised to delete the cellular plan from the watch. Now they can't add it back. All messages on apple watch state. Waiting for activation🤦🏾♀️

Sounds like you aren’t. With cellular you will get your calls, texts, and notifications anywhere even if you don’t have your phone and there is no WiFi. You can also stream music and use your Bluetooth headphones to listen without needing your phone, use GPS, and a lot more. Basically you don’t need your phone or WiFi. This is great for kids
Basically, you can leave your iPhone at home and go anywhere and get cellular service for phone calls and texts/data. Without being connected to WiFi either.

Does the watch's cellular plan line need to be with the same carrier as the iphone?
@@BT-wh6un Yes! I personally would not be able to pair a T-Mobile watch line with a voice line from AT&T or Verizon because we do not share the same systems.
Before, I paired the watch via an iPhone that used wifi only. Today tmobile advised to delete the cellular plan from the watch. Now they can't add it back. All messages on apple watch state. Waiting for activation🤦🏾♀️
