Not really hidden, just probably not thought about a lot: Most bosses leave enough time between the killing blow and Rune Reward to let you use a golden foot or equip the scarab to get the extra runes.
This already a case since the previous game, but hopefully the newcomer know about this because it can really help you to gain more runes and kill boss easily
@@renhardhalim yeah this is my first fromsoftware game i’ve ever played. I haven’t even beaten it yet and it is one of my favorite games ever. Would you recommend I play other games in the series? I really want to buy Bloodborne but I’ve heard the framerate is hard to play on after playing at 60+ on almost every game for the last couple years
@@glazedtenders3585 well even if it's a 30 fps game, it's still a game that considered one of the best from FS. Maybe you will struggle at the first 5 hours because you're still not used to it. But once you feel it, it will worth your time. I reccommend you to buy the game when it's Discount if you're not sure to buy it right now. Margit’s or Mohg’s Shackle acts as a long range attack on all surfaces for at least a radius of several rooms. I haven’t tested it enough to know the exact size of the area of effect, but it’s bigger than you would expect. This will knock out illusion walls for several rooms around, and it will raise and lower fire/ice traps. In Auriza Hero’s Grave you normally go through several long areas before you get to raise a trap that makes a 3rd chariot spawn to kill the others. I just got to the room with the 2 chariots and used the shackle and they died right away. I was able to go through 90% of the dungeon with no chariots. That is my favorite unexpected interaction in the whole game.
yeah from what i can gather using a shackle sends out an extremely long range and invisible attack that does 0 damage and 0 poise. this means it does nothing to regular enemies but map pieces that are scripted to change from an attack are. of course it also has the properties of shackling the omens
this also works in Pvp if they're invisible. Pop this and if danger music plays they are "close" enough to be tagged by the 0 dmg hit but far enough to be invis with the talisman.

Hoarah Loux also have a unique death animation on one of his grabs (choke slam), if you dont survive the choke portion he lifts you above his head and rips you in two. Just to add insult to injury
That is insane! I wish there were more grab moves like that for players to use. So far all we have is the Shabiri madness one, but it would be cool if we could have the Black Knife assassination grab as a Spell/Ash of War
Gostoc Stalking is quite old...killing him gives you back your runes BUT after some point in the story, finisheing Kenneth Haigs quest, he would sell you an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone...which you will ofc miss out on if you kill him. I think those miniscule early game amount of runes isn't worth that
-I don't think the ancient dragon smithing Stone is sold to you .. if I remember right, it's received for free as the reward for completing the quest- Edit: I stand corrected and have another Stone to go buy!
I didnt notice the guy stalking me at all, and didn't notice a percentage of my runes going missing when I died. This is the kind of thing that makes me respect From Software. When someone stalks you, you're not supposed to notice unless you're very perceptive. In other games, they would make damn sure you notice the guy stalking you. They never want to risk you missing any of their hard work. From Software is willing to let a lot of their hard work go unnoticed by the majority of players, just to make it that much more special to those who do notice it. [edit: changed "those *that* do" to "those *who* do" - please let me know if that's wrong] I wonder if I can go back to find and kill him to get my runes back. Maybe he's still stomping on Godrick's dome.
You have to kill him before the God Rick fight to get runes back. At the end of nepheli's quest line, he will be next to her in the throne room and will sell you an ancient dragon smithing stone which are the rarest ones and have a limited amount per game run.
i never saw him following me either. i also thought you always lost runes when you died so i was surprised when i got past stormveil. i kinda wish i had offed the creepy cannibal dude
Actually illusorywall went over the edge thing and apparently it's not an automatic thing and walls for attacks were placed in areas where from thought you wouldn't want to fall and not all attacks stop such as a torch poke will send you tumbling down. So it's not the most reliable tech but very useful if you're out of rainbow rocks or have a foe against a ledge!
be warned, the invisible walls to stop you dying in combat is not a set rule!!! The devs did place them in a good few spot where play-testers complained about falling a lot but not every cliff with a deadly fall has one of those invisible walls, some of cliffs even have a smoothed geometry on their edges that actually make you more likely to fall. The walls seem to only be on cliffs with sharper drop offs, a lot in ruins with flat surfaces too, but surfaces with even a slight slop often lack one and the rule of sharp drops and flat surfaces isn't consistent across the whole game. The placements and effectiveness of these combat walls can vary greatly depending on the area of the game you're in.
An example are the invisible bridges. On the one in the Mountaintops of Giants you can use the attack strategy, while on the one in the Hidden Pathway to the Haligtree you will fall to your death.
Refilling stamina on crouch works regardless of what gear you're using, you don't need a greatshield. Also when jump attacking its not the movement that stops the bounce, it's how close you are to the ground when you attack.
It doesn’t work at all, not even with greatshields. It’s just briefly dropping your shield over and over. You can’t block and crouch. Stamina comes back slower while blocking. When you hit crouch while holding block, you briefly returns to normal stamina recovery speed before the blocking state reasserts itself. In other words you’re adding more button presses to do a _worse_ job by dropping your shield repeatedly in a complicated way rather than just letting your shield down during that same time
I'd be curious to see some timers for the great shield stamina tip. To my eyes, that looks like just the normal stamina regen rate, and the "burst" effect is just the result of not actively blocking while you're crouching. (Stamina regens much slower while actively blocking). I suspect you could replicate the effect by just tapping your block button instead of holding it.
One secret from me. Using Margit's Shackle or Mohg's Shackle will hit in big area all fire breading statue in Catacombs. You can use this to easily defeat the chariots in "Auriza Hero's Grave" because it will hit the statue over the walls.
I ended up as a shishkebab when the death status killed my character, only for him to be grabbed at the last moment of the animation to be munched on and swallowed. Talk about an overkill.
7:05 you know, there is a site of grace closer to the fight and with no enemy in the way? Just enter the boss arena, stick to the right wall and leave the arena through the door at the end, which has a site of grace right there. The boss fight doesn't start unless you go towards the middle of the arena so as long as there are no fog walls, you can just use that site of grace instead ;)
you don't actually have to go through the area, there's a spot you can drop down and reach that same grace without risking triggering the boss. I found it on accident so I'm not sure exactly but you can get there naturally without exploits or fancy jumping.
@@TheKaratekidGodzalo Yeah, I know there is a different path leading there but I found the path after killing the boss and didn't remember if the area is already accessible before the boss 😅
Oh wow! I'm at NG+5 and never knew about Gastoc stalking you! I knew he took your runes, but never actually thought he'd be physically following! Awesome attention to detail!
Side Extra Tips : 1- The Lure is not just from the Ashe of War , you could also Abuse using the Humanoid Lure Incantation via Seals incase you want to have a Specific Ashe of War. ( So its an Alternative , i think its sold by Brother Corhyn aswell as Darkness which disengages you from Combat against enemies ). 2- You can Chain-Cast Sorceries and Incantations by Scrolling thru different other equipped Spells in order to Cancel-Out the Animation Start-up for all Spells in Elden Ring. ( This goes to every Spell except for Dragon Communion Breath Incantations like Flame of Agheel , or Ezyke Breath etc. ). 3- The Ashe of War Bloodhound Step can also Chain start-up your Backstep Attack input tactic for further distance and better Landing to those Catch-up Powerstancing back-step attacks. ( This works really well in PvP and also PvE when you need a big gap chaser , altho Katanas are the best backstep attack since it has 2 lunging input attacks ). But this Helps alot specialy with the Vanish animation from the Bloodhound Step start-up. ( So basically instead of pressing Circle to Backstep and attack , you press L2 Bloodhound Step while facing the other way around to adjust the Powerstance L1 backstep attack , which really is a great distance and 2 attack Cover ). 4- The Big Ballista ranged weapon in Elden Ring will always Stun a large enemy like the Giant Trolls , or any similar Big Bosses like Dragons , Giant Trolls , Ulcerated Tree and Putrid Avatars so long as you Land that Large Bolt or Explosive Bolt to their Weaknesses like Head Attacks usually.... Enjoy 💯🔥
There's another path to the godskin duo fight where you can actually summon Berdahl if you beat the manor questline. The grace is right next to the fight, no knight in the way at all
I was saying you can summon Bernahl if you beat the manor quest. You can get there regardless of what you did before as long as you have that stonesword key you mentioned
What’s pretty useful is that certain ashes of war actually apply status effects from resins that you apply and weapon buffs eg black flame, as status effects. Trolls roar, the goat lightning roll and the ice javelin. Which I’ve been messing around with. I’m not sure if it’s intentional. But it’s useful either way.
@@colsenetguillaume8832 that’s not what i meant, you would have to have no whetblade effect to be able to use a a weapon buff. For example If you use the ice javelin for your ash of war, and make it quality scaling, you can then apply black flame blade to your weapon. Then when you use the ash of war it will the weapon buff. You can’t buff a weapon that already has a effect on it such as bleed or frost.
@@demonbasher23 you mean that the active effect of the ash of war will carry both the effect of the resin/grease and the one by default? That a neat trick!
@@colsenetguillaume8832 With the ice javelin it applies the ice effect whist applying the resin affect which is pretty neat, I’m still testing it out though. it doesn’t work on ashes of war that apply a resin directly to your weapon though. Eg poison mist.
@@colsenetguillaume8832 is that the better route if you like the base ashes of war for example is it better to use an Uchihatana with unsheathe plus whatever status affect or for example lightning slash or sacred blade
Edit: The helmet hp regen thing will likely get fixed at some point, may have been worth pointing that out mate. The fall prevention mechanic when you swing a weapon is actually a point I used in arguing against people who claimed Elden Ring's balancing was stupid and needlessly difficult without much thought put behind it (about from launch to the end of the first month mainly). I basically used it as a "if they can put in something that is this "small" but immensely helpful that you didn't even realize, I find it hard to imagine any part of them game is thought." Welps... except for bleed, that is.
for the backstep attack in PVP, there exists a move called a "ravioli step" that allows you to fluidly backstep in reverse, to close distance in the direction you face initially
I've been using the backstep tword target and attack since day 1 and it's amazing with heavy weapons, such as the Claymore (my all-time fav). It's great because it's the spinning attack that used to be the running attack in previous souls titles. I don't know why they changed the running attack, but that spinning horizontal attack is just amazing and now in E.R. the only way to do it is to unlock target, backstep tword them and R1 to get that spinning attack I loved so much in the previous souls titles. Great videos and great content, I never miss a new E.R. video from you guys.
The no fall while attacking thing doesn't always work, it was apparently manually put in on all ledges so for a bunch of them they just missed or you can clearly survive and it won't let you fall.
The tip with invisible barrier fall to death help 4:30, swapping glintstone helm for glitch regen health 5:30, and crouch stamina regen 12:30 were truly amazing to learn about. Currently on NG+3 and never found out about this till now. Very nice indeed
You don't actually need to jump to "pierce a wall". Depending on the weapon, you can attack through walls to enemies on the other side. I did this often with the Guardian Swordspear, but a thrusting attack (especially one while running) will generally get through a wall. A charged attack also seems to do okay if the enemy is just on the other side. Thrusting weapons tend to be a bit better at this.
Shadows lure can be very useful in combination with Summons as you can prevent the boss or enemies from actually attacking the summons. Add in the cursed pot item and you can make your summons more aggressive too
OMG, the tips on the video are actually super useful and I’m going to try them!! Also, if you haven’t covered them already, note that the special torches sold by merchants have useful properties like repel small beasts (rats, dogs, wolves) or show invisible assassins, etc. You can do a video on just those torches.
Attacking near a drop doesn't always work Maybe because it was incorrectly marked or you'll fall further down a slope from attacking and die The stones get it wrong less
Really cool tricks and tips. One thing I realized not mentioned but I finally noticed while watching this video was the Iron Maiden's saws. The NPC Invader at Volcano Manor uses the same saw that is on the Iron Maidens. Pretty sure that it's common knowledge and I simply wasn't clever enough to realize that at the time, but I guess he ripped one off to use as a weapon.
8:23 I don't know if people know, but the backstep r1 is actually different than the running r1, which wasn't the case in previous titles. I noticed that with colossal hammers
There is no mechanic which prevents you from falling to death while attacking. Most cliffs are marked by the developers for "dont allow the player to go off here while attacking" but that also applies to some ledges which wouldn't lead to a deadly fall and uneven terrain can cause this mechanic to fail (they may also forgot it in some places). The rainbow stones are way more safe to use. "Illusory wall" also talks about this in his latest video.
I saw a video about Gostoc stalking you through Stormveil the same day I just happened to stumble into him in one of those locations. He was gone the next time I passed through so I assume you only have one chance to see him following you before he moves. Even before I knew about the stalking, I was convinced he's the one who backstabs you after you clear the Banished Knight. He is just so shady.
I think what happened with the masks is that when you decrease your hp, it doesn’t make you lose health so the percentage of your max hp you have goes up. When you remove the mask without changing your intelligence, your max hp goes up but true percentage stays the same resulting in more hp.
for the backstep thing, there is an "hidden" mechanic to aim your backstep, its a short timing but you have to press your roll button and then the direction you want to go (opposite direction because this is a backstep) at same time, so if you are looking in front of your target you can still backstep towards it by pressing backstep and down (must not have target locked on), this is something that have been known from previous souls game (especially DS3) and it is still in Elden Ring
If I remember correctly crouching in general increases your stamina recovery for the duration of the crouch because its a "resting" pose, but it can be spammed while sprinting for unlimited stamina. Sorta wish the sit gesture had a passive heal hp/stamina per second ability though but that's sorta negligible because you would only be able to use it after all the enemies in the area are dead... Besides there are other more efficient ways to heal lol. Oh also crouching mid combat is also practical because it restores a small amount of stamina while you are attacking. Works best with light weight weapons since they use less stamina per swing.
Didnt read through all the comments to see if someone mentioned this but crouching isnt “pumping” back stamina nor is it speeding up recovery. When you crouch you are no longer sprinting so you enter normal stamina regen phase. Same for shield. When you crouch you are no longer getting the reduced stamina regen from blocking. The rate is better if you just stop blocking and stand there. In fact it is the same as stopping and starting blocking repeatedly without any crouching. I guess benefit is you have your shield up more often in case of hit but I figured I would help clarify that.
I found a cool mechanic for the shadow bait as well. You can actually throw it out really far away if you aim to the sky. The distance is very much double comparing to aiming regularly on to the ground
Just found out that warming stones work on spirit summons. Frenzied stones don't do anything at all to spirit summons but they're eyes will glow with frenzy flame while effected.
14:12 That's because his attack staggered/stopped your running animation which temporarily brought you to a dead stop for a split second much like the crouch animation. So you got a stamina regain boost.
Another thing to add about jumping attacks not bouncing off walls is that it works against enemies you would bounce off of as well. Shields, stone miner enemies, crystalians, etc.
That pump mechanic works with the barrage AOW too... additionally, it DOES take fp, but DOES NOT require fp to use... you can keep spamming it until you run out of stamina, regain it, then spam it again... EVEN IF you're out of fp
To the backstep attack: you can actually reverse backstep by tapping the backstep button & quickly pulling back on your analog stick to turn your character around This is obviously a lot more useful because you can start it while facing your opponent. I do not believe you can do this while locked on however
I'm surprised nobody has pointed this out in any video regarding this, but you don't have to swap between the helmets. You can just equip and unequip the Olivinus Glintstone Crown, over and over, and it works. It's literally a waste of time to use both pieces of headgear.
Crouching isnt what gives the boost in stam regen. In fact whats happening is a regen DEBUFF from holding the block button. When you crouch it naturally removes the blocking status for a sec thus "boosting" your regen. Simply dont hold block man
was going to point out that attacking near ledges is actually super inconsistent a method to test. that said I've seen a fellow deep diving into fall damage and it is TYPICALLY any very squared dropoff ledge and most lethal well shaped cliff ledges. a lot of weirdly shaped rounded ledges will just drop you off anyways. also for anyone wanting to know, dropping further then 8 meters will drain your stamina in combat. dropping further then 15 meters will cause fall damage and if you fall exactly 20 meters or more you will perish. fall damage is apparently anywhere from 33% to 50% of your hp with some slight variance if you are actually in heavy equip load. So if you ever fell and took half your hp in damage, you almost died.
For the crouching to regain stamina tip: I would advise finding a way to use something other than L3 (clicking the left analog stick) to crouch and uncrouch. Pressing in your analog sticks can wear them out over time and lead to stick drift. On PC and PS5, you can remap your controller buttons so you could use something else for crouch. I haven’t found a good solution honestly because every other button is used for something important. Sorry this was so long
The best trick no one talks about is the mohg and margit shackle opening all illusionary walls in a massive area (about the size of the lower level of round table hold) but even better is it triggers the flame / frost pillars to raise and lower even through walls for that same area size. Makes doing things like killing the chariots or moving the light circles extremely easy
the way the backstep attack is often used in pvp is via a reverse backstep, a move that has been around since atleast the first dark souls if not demon souls as well, which is done by inputting a backstep and at the right timing a backward movement (on controller down on the left stick) which with change the direction u backstep to b 180. this can then be followed up with an attack input which can be done going forwards or often times to the left or right to catch ppl rolling to the side. of note - i believe the reverse backstep cannot be done while locked on.
I'm surprised you haven't done this yet. The old-school spaghetti step! Back step quickly followed by inputting directional movement makes you able to back step quickly in any direction without having to face the opposite direction first. It used to be popular tech.
i thank all 3 of you from rage gaming, thanks to you i never get bored of this game cause i keep finding new things every single day with a bit of guidance of you guys. keep up the amazing content.
You can use the jump attack trick on enemies that normally make slashing/piercing weapons bounce off of them as well. Really helps me out against miners when I don't feel like changing weapons.
The back-step attack is even better than shown here, with a little practice you can back-step and any direction - you just have to press the opposite direction you want to back-step after the initial input. For example: to back-step forward while facing forward you would just have to press the button for back-step and then down. Figured out this movement option about a week ago and its been somewhat useful in PvP, just takes a little bit to get the timing down.
Fun thing about the backstep reverse attack: This is actually a holdover from DS3, and you can use the same input to actually do this WITHOUT TURNING AROUND. Timing is a little tight, but if you press B or Circle to backstep with no directional input, then immediately move the left stick down, you'll backstep the direction you were facing, then can do the same followup you mentioned. Really nice for PVP mixup as you can just be standing still facing the enemy, then suddenly backstepping at them and attacking without having to turn away from them.
Attacking at a ledge is not generally recommended to check for safe falls. The walls that prevent you from falling are manually placed, so it is still possible that your attack will throw you off the ledge and to your death if they missed placing a wall on that ledge. It does seem to be the case that they put these walls on most ledges where the fall would kill you. This is not the the case with every ledge, and there are even some falls you could survive where they still decided to place a wall for player convenience. If you would rather chance the death than craft rainbow or glow stones, then you might as well take a swing before you leap I suppose.
Another cool interaction with grab kills, if Godfrey grabs you as Hoarah Loux, and kills you with it, he'll actually tear you apart, whereas normally he just lets you go if you survived the hit
Yea I totally missed Gostoc stalking me! And now he's in the throneroom and it's to late for me go after him for my lost ruins!! but that is so awesome that's even a possibility!! I knew I should have tried taking him out earlier!
The healing with the helmet switch is because of it is percentage based. Lets say you have 20/100 health(using simple numbers). When you equip the helmet that reduces the max health by a percentage(10%) you'd have 20/90. The damage you have is a static number that isn't effected by max health being reduced. Whenever you unequip that helmet it sees your health at a percentage not as a static number, so you end up healing the difference ending up 22/100. It is a weird interaction that can be easily fixed but as long as it isn't abused it probably won't be patched.
talking about backstep attack's, if u use the bloodhound step and dodge back or sideways while aiming at an enemy u do the backstep attack thats especially cool with power stancing greatswords
Most of the weapons also have a different attack when you do a light attack while crouching. The colossal swords have a nice fast estoc attack that can be a good combo opener for example.
I believe the crown thing is based around percentage situations, because you loose say 15% of your hp bar with the crown, when you get it back it gives you back that 15% but with hp there, though only because of a slight glitch between the two helms
You can also turn during a backstep by flicking your stick right before the step so you can (altho it's a bit difficult) face your opponent, backstep towards them with a flick, then turn attack after
Hey, did you know that you can use bows on horse back? Yup. The Greatbows/Ballistas turns into a melee weapons. Bows/Crossbows can be fired from horse back but once you begin the attack Torrent will slow down until you fire. However, much like in history, Light Bows can be fired at a full gallop, this let's you target the heads of massive enemies like dragons and remain mobile enough to avoid their biggest attacks.
You can buffer a reverse backstep out of an attack by holding the dodge button followed by moving in the opposite direction you want to backstep. You do this close to the end of the attack animation. It's called the ravioli
It seems that after patch 1.4 the Night Cavalery you choose does not die to just fall damage. I got him to jump off a ledge several times specifically via his jump attack (so it's highest possible point from which he can fall) and he survived. Now in area with a "kill" hitbox, like the one on the bridge near Beast Sanctum - died no problem. So it wasn't my masterful stamina management, but (intended or not) crouching mechanics why I had such an easy time with Godslayer and Greatsword - I often use their thrust attack from crouching.
With the Black Knife Armour set, its not only the Black Knife Hood that has the "invisible" extra covering from the Black Knife Armour... A few other helmets get the same effect: The (Alt) Eccentrics Hood, and the Fingerprint Helm are two which get the same effect from the armour... maybe others too
To avoid bouncing your attacks, I would actually start my attack away from the wall and then look toward the wall mid swing. Seems you only bounce in the first part of the attack, but if you get past that, then you won't bounce. Moving jump attack does seem easier and more reliable, however.
Imagine watching someone bagging furiously mid-battle because it gives them energy Also, a fun thing to note about cancelling enemy grab attacks is that for whatever reason, breaking out of a runebear's grab early with often make it clip through the floor, killing it. It's a BS way of dealing with it, but it's a BS enemy to begin with, so it balances out
11:20 Hoarah Loux W A R R I O R also has special animations when he kills you with grabs. On that one where he throws you into the air and slams into the ground, he also rips open your ribcage if he kills you with it. Brutal.
Illusionary Wall made a great video (two of them, really) about jumping; fall damage, rainbow stones, and the attack method. I recommend checking it out - there are a few disparities, people might want to be aware of. Cheers!
Gustove was not the one stealing your runes on death. That was a bug, but the fandom theorised that it was Him who stole them, so, FromSoft implimented Gustove to stalk you and then carry your runes if you decide to kill him. A Feature turned Bug.
How comes we never see Hollow outside of these informative/build videos? Like when Cotton and Josh do the Duo gameplay videos? I may still be new to this channel but I feel like Hollow should be included more :) ❤️ love you three keep up the good content
With the crowns you can do that with the talisman that slowly gives you health. Just put it on and take it off health goes up way faster than just leaving it on. Nite that it is slower than the crowns. Also idk if im the only one but i was never able to heal my mimic tear but today i tossed a warming stone down and he healed from it.
you can beat Rykard really easy. maybe this will help your speed run. all you have to do is hit L2 count to 1 second then do it again. rinse and repeat. it will stun lock him and never get a shot at you. it works that is how i beat him. no cheat just the weapon we are given to beat him.
7:00 Ok i know it wasnt the point, but since not many people seem aware of it... There is another grace, closer to the Godskin duo and without any mob on the way From the grace, just turn back and drop down, run a little and thats it
If you use the mimic veil while wearing the black knife armor (chest piece) your character reappears while the mimic is active. It's a funny bug I encountered while messing around with mimic veil
Along with the wall attacking. A lot of ashes of war will go through walls. Specifically corpse piler and double slash if the weapon has reach on it. I’ve killed many enemies that way hiding around corners.

This is surely go to the next video. Very useful and uncommon knowledge
wish i knew that before going trough that damn stress dungeon
this also works in Pvp if they're invisible. Pop this and if danger music plays they are "close" enough to be tagged by the 0 dmg hit but far enough to be invis with the talisman.

[edit: changed "those *that* do" to "those *who* do" - please let me know if that's wrong]
I wonder if I can go back to find and kill him to get my runes back.
Quit speaking on what another man said little boy. Unless "you," know yourself every edge that isn't automatic then shut up
i just had a stroke reading this
be warned, the invisible walls to stop you dying in combat is not a set rule!!!
When you hit crouch while holding block, you briefly returns
to normal stamina recovery speed before the blocking state reasserts itself.
In other words you’re adding more button presses to do a _worse_ job by dropping your shield repeatedly in a complicated way rather than just letting your shield down during that same time
@@charaznable896 stamina recovers at different paces depending on your posture...
And also both will reveal secret walls.

The Wormface enemies/field boss also has a unique grab animation when they kill you with it
Still have nightmares from that one 😱
Yeah when that happened to me it like sucked on my character but didn’t kill me the weirdest enemies in elden ring 😂
Thats a good tip 👍 never though of doing that
you don't actually have to go through the area, there's a spot you can drop down and reach that same grace without risking triggering the boss. I found it on accident so I'm not sure exactly but you can get there naturally without exploits or fancy jumping.
@@TheKaratekidGodzalo Yeah, I know there is a different path leading there but I found the path after killing the boss and didn't remember if the area is already accessible before the boss 😅

Side Extra Tips :
1- The Lure is not just from the Ashe of War , you could also Abuse using the Humanoid Lure Incantation via Seals incase you want to have a Specific Ashe of War.
The grace is right next to the fight, no knight in the way at all
You don't need to finish the quest. Just use stone sword key and jump down
I was saying you can summon Bernahl if you beat the manor quest. You can get there regardless of what you did before as long as you have that stonesword key you mentioned
Crouching while blocking with a greatshield is the same as not holding block. You gain stamina slower while blocking
You can technicaly get any effect with any ashes of war once you get the right whetblade (there are multiple in the game giving couple affinity each)
@@colsenetguillaume8832 that’s not what i meant, you would have to have no whetblade effect to be able to use a a weapon buff.
You should host community fight clubs !
The grab death attack is also a thing for astels he will do one additional snap to end you.

I noticed that with colossal hammers
same.... I just made a comment about it, only I use the Claymore. The only way to get that running, spinning horizontal attack is this backstep R1.
Try a running r2 ;)

I did know about the attacking through walls/ anti-bounce thing, but did not realize it was limited to moving jump attacks, thanks for the info!
9:00 backstep attacks also don't deflect off of shields! Essential for anyone powerstancing in PvE and PvP!
Blood helice toward an enemy works like the jump charge. You can even line up backstabs.
The stamina trick blew my mind. I am a Tank-like class in Elden ring and I always use Great shield. So useful. Also for running around. Thanks man.
Yeah I fell from a ledge to my death inside of a catacomb whilst attacking
Thank you, great tip about the ledge’s invisible wall!
I so love the rap like I literally watch ur videos for the rap...I mean of course I get the information u share but that rap tho awesome 👌 👏
Frenzied Stones are only able to heal the Nomad ashes.
I found out that the Warming Stones heal your spirit summons, made me wonder if it'll damage the revenant enemy.
It doesn't, I've tried
One thing about gostoc, he’s missing his left hand, which was a common punishment for thieves in medieval times. Nice hinting at what he does
To the backstep attack: you can actually reverse backstep by tapping the backstep button & quickly pulling back on your analog stick to turn your character around
This is obviously a lot more useful because you can start it while facing your opponent.
Sorry this was so long
Also I didn’t mention Xbox systems because I’m not 100% sure you can remap your buttons on there, but I’m almost certain you can
The best trick no one talks about is the mohg and margit shackle opening all illusionary walls in a massive area (about the size of the lower level of round table hold) but even better is it triggers the flame / frost pillars to raise and lower even through walls for that same area size. Makes doing things like killing the chariots or moving the light circles extremely easy
That glintstone crown hack is pretty usefull, thanks!
the way the backstep attack is often used in pvp is via a reverse backstep, a move that has been around since atleast the first dark souls if not demon souls as well, which is done by inputting a backstep and at the right timing a backward movement (on controller down on the left stick) which with change the direction u backstep to b 180. this can then be followed up with an attack input which can be done going forwards or often times to the left or right to catch ppl rolling to the side. of note - i believe the reverse backstep cannot be done while locked on.
Shadow Bait Incantation + Dragon Breath (or any AoE) at the Mogwyn farm spot will get you roughly 30k runes (no scarab) per grace rest.

Fun thing about the backstep reverse attack:
This is actually a holdover from DS3, and you can use the same input to actually do this WITHOUT TURNING AROUND.
That's Awesome!! My comment about infinite health by switching the 2 Mage Crowns made it into a Video!! *Idk why, but that just feels so cool!*
They abused the shit out of it. Especially in pvp
talking about backstep attack's, if u use the bloodhound step and dodge back or sideways while aiming at an enemy u do the backstep attack thats especially cool with power stancing greatswords
If you leave gostoc alive after you finish Nephelli and Kenneth questline he sells an Ancient Smithing Stone.
Good to know about that invisible wall when attacking near cliffs. I always get worried I'm going to fall.
The grab attack from giant wormfaces do a similar effect. It's wild, like it's having fun eating you
You can also turn during a backstep by flicking your stick right before the step so you can (altho it's a bit difficult) face your opponent, backstep towards them with a flick, then turn attack after
Hey, did you know that you can use bows on horse back?
6:25 if this ever gets patched, you can do the same thing by constantly equipping the HP Regen talisman, acquired near the Divine Bride grace.
It's much slower regen but at least it's another option if the helmet method gets patched.
5:57 that health thing works with more than just those 2 helmets. It also work with the blindfolded helm. It's one of the 2 I do this with.
Imagine watching someone bagging furiously mid-battle because it gives them energy
Also, a fun thing to note about cancelling enemy grab attacks is that for whatever reason, breaking out of a runebear's grab early with often make it clip through the floor, killing it.

That jump attack one is great. I hate getting caught out in tight spaces
you can beat Rykard really easy. maybe this will help your speed run. all you have to do is hit L2 count to 1 second then do it again. rinse and repeat. it will stun lock him and never get a shot at you. it works that is how i beat him. no cheat just the weapon we are given to beat him.

Ok i know it wasnt the point, but since not many people seem aware of it... There is another grace, closer to the Godskin duo and without any mob on the way
From the grace, just turn back and drop down, run a little and thats it
Attacking on the edge of a cliff detail is a great thing to know. I was always worried about attacking off an edge that could kill me
its not 100% consistent and especially doesnt work on slopped edges so stick to stones for testing fall damage
The helmet healing is definitely a useful tip. I've spent a good chunk of time just sitting on my phone while letting a healing talisman do its job.
