Is "Warband" a step towards "Mandatory daily grinding with multyple character to have the chance to roll for a some kind of RNG" as in many MMOs full of macrotransactions making tons of money each day ?
Quit two months ago and returned to GW2. I haven't even bought the newest GW2 expansion yet because I have so much earlier content to catch up on. The WoW expansion is NOT worth the $50 box price plus $15 sub. Before quitting, I was only playing rated Blitz Brawl PvP. And as fun as that was, it's not worth paying a monthly sub just for that content.
@@Spooh it's crazy that he didn't know. As someone who has watched him for years... Like how? Any one who "loves them some wow pvp" would immediately realize this was bots. Not to mention people are usually expressing it in chat for those who don't know so that the win is ensured. I love Peon but this entire video is just.... So extra lol
Is this... Is this a joke? The whole video is so littered with mistakes it feels like he's not even trying. Some of the misinformation I can forgive as it may not be clear at first glance, but it seems like he isn't reading the 3 lines of explanation and then goes on to complain that he doesn't understand. 9th expansion? It's the 10th. Your Warband is your entire account, the favorite 4 are just the ones shown around the campfire on the character select screen. Delves aren't "solo", they CAN be played solo, so of course you're gonna feel more lonely if you decide to run them solo instead of with friends. I thnk hype/excitement around The War Within is a very subjective thing, like saying "none of my friends were talking about the launch" is valid and all, but as someone who played on both the early access launch and the "real" launch, there were plenty of people and plenty of excitement. Streamers returning, my friends list was full, guild was buzzing, and it was all good. But my experience is not everyone's, I recognize that. Not sure what was going on with him not seeing a lot of players, maybe it's a phasing+realm+time of day issue? Dornogal is quite full on my low-pop server anyway. But once again, that's very subjective and may vary greatly. I think this whole video can be summarized by looking at 18:06. The guy has queued for a Comp Stomp, an Arathi Basin vs NPCs. The one with like 99% winrate because the bots are stupid and somewhat undergeared. And he's talking about how he loves the one-sided Arathi Basin matches. I think that tells you all you need to know if you need to know. If you don't plan on reading everything, even what is literally right next to the button you're about to press, then you might not have as good of a time. What I am criticizing here isn't the whole "What's it like to play again in The War Within?" concept, I totally respect that not everyone plays WoW - and not everyone who returns will enjoy it. That's fair. But this is like watching this video and going "But who uploaded it? This was apparently made by a guy called Starforge Systems or something. Also, I am 7 minutes into the video and he hasn't told me if it's worth playing yet? 400 likes, seems like the least hyped video he has ever made." So take this whole video with a grain of salt. It's clearly not a "Is it worth playing TWW as a returning player?" - it's a "Do I, TheLazyPeon, like TWW so far?" There are some valid criticisms, but again, it's hard to take them seriously when the next shot is of a guy bragging about how he's dominating a BG, not realizing he's playing against bots.
Think 17:54 says it all, he obviously has no interest in the game, and just needs to tick it of the list for content, which I get, but do some basic fact checks at least...
@@decyl_8878 he is addicted to OSRS and had 0 interest in playing and reviewing this game, it shows, just made the review to pay his bills which is so dissapointing
You should make sure you're right before going so hard on misinformation. Delves ARE Solo. You CAN play with friends, but only via premade. That's not the same as what you're saying. It's also much more reasonable that he wasn't aware of that given they were marketed heavily as a solo experience, which they primarily are, going in with friends is the optional part. Also I don't know why people are getting hung up on any of this. Its a first impression, not a review and he clearly went in almost 100% blind which is entirely his choice. If anything is wrong its that the editor didn't put some clarifications up in post on anything said that was wrong.

He does the same shit with the others. I play GW2 a lot and his GW2 video is exactly like this: no effort to actually understand the game, and then gets mad when something doesn't work.

I’m usually a fan of these, but this video really missed the mark in terms of uninformed guessing and poor judgement. Delves aren’t solo, warband is account wide, judging the story as “bad” while skipping everything story related, and not even looking at the professions. Players that skip story and say it’s shit are the reason Blizzard doesn’t put any stock into their story. When they do and people say it’s shit, they tend to think nobody cares for story period.
@@X.D.T. Either that or he just really hates WoW from when he played himself. He sounds over it through the entire video, like he doesn't want to play it at all.
The story isn't impressive, it was a slog to go through on my main and now I am dungeon spamming on my alts to get them to max. Not going through TWW's leveling experience again when it comes to quests.
@@CatDad312 sure if you have less than 4 characters before this, but Like Peon and myself if you have played before you can instantly notice the difference on a brand new character. "Why do I have all these flight paths, and every other quest I accept says I have done it already" It's not like peon hasn't played WoW before. He played a long time ago, he played private servers, and he has now played modern WoW. This is simply an oversight on his part, a new player like oversight.
It seems like you just try out the new WoW expacs because people expect you to, and you don't actually review them with any care or investment anymore. "Dungeon gear is worthless" when you ran a normal, not even a heroic. The heroics ship with launch, you can see them, they're just grayed out till you hit an ilvl appropiate. "Where are all the players?" In the PVP area with Warmode off. Not there, PVP players are usually in Warmode so you won't see them. I'd forgive a new player for not picking up on these things, but you're an experienced WoW and MMO player. These aren't new things/concepts.
Yea after this video I'll click on "don't recommend this channel". The amount of ignorance and just overall mood it feels like he never gave xpack the chance, idk I've enjoyed his content before but this is just sad
Love your videos Peon, but this is one I just simply have to disagree with. I get that you care about the end game stuff most, and that's fair, but to say that 1) The launch was dead when that seems to be 100% your server is a vast over generalization and 2) The the MSQ was boring is really selling it short. If you actually just slowed down and read/listened to what was going on in the story I think you would've enjoyed it. It is by far the most complete story Blizzard has told in YEARS.
yep, the only dissapoiting thing was this review, the hate of the delves , is mob have to much hp, that's a you are doing little dps/skill issue. and this is only lvl 3 from 12... he didn't even opened or learn any professions who are better then ever before. skipped the entire reading even freaking watching the cinematics.. like cmon.... Heroic dungeons are literally just to experience the content have not real challenge , cant judge the gameplay without mythics. the "hype is entirely a subjective thing" better having a smooth launch than lag and 10000 people taking your mobs , just old people thinking the game was good having lag in 2006... was a good thing. Also , about addons , the "edit UI" from blizz right now is better than ever before. and the cherry on top of "female are bad" .
The story was fine, but it was still a lot of kill 10 bears and melodrama. It's just more WoW story. Having finished it this morning, the actual ending was quite nice if predictable. Which is fine, the whole time I was hoping for the predictable thing, because I did want a good ending for those characters. But MMOs in general aren't about some single player story, it's kind of the worst medium to tell them in. No idea why they've been forcing you to do them for a few expansions now if some people just don't care. Saying "it's good but you didn't experience it correctly" is kind of nonsense.
The MSQ is bad. Not bad as in it gets bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it was just a slog to get through and almost none of it was interesting. By the time you finish it/get to max level the experience just feels unsatisfying, like you went to see a movie that that people liked but you walk out rating it a C-.

@@fushisaky What are you even saying? A system should not be explained through npc exposition and realistically its very easy to clarify things with a simple UI icon over a popup so if you can miss anything by skipping dialogue thats 100% a blizzard problem. If anything what you're saying is wrong since it implies you can just queue with others like a dungeon which is not the case.
Stop dickriding. I’ve watched the lazy peon for 8+ years and this is by far the most disconnected video he has posted about WoW. No hate to him directly, but it just seems he doesn’t enjoy the game anymore which is okay, but he shouldn’t be spreading misinformation on features of the game to his viewers as it will cause them to not even try out the new expansion. Saying dragonflight was more encapsulating at the start of the xpac is the silliest thing he could have said. The game is much closer to its roots now and he clearly didn’t pay attention to any of the story as he didn’t mention it once in his video and skips all the dialogue screens.
Delves aren't exclusively solo content. You were just choosing to do them solo. You can do them with up to 5 ppl. Also the city probably seemed empty because most ppl are doing world events, farming rare mounts, or doing professions, all things you chose to skip over.
Do you get more loot with people or just for the social aspect? World events, farming rare mounts, and doing professions are the same stuff wow has done before and the cities still felt full of people.
Ban add-ons and improve the UI really means ban WA and DBM style add-ons and make the UI like ElvUi with bartender functionality etc... but if you do that you'll either have to nerf the hell out of the recent content or turn rating into even more of a niche. And good luck tracking modern numbers and complexity of cooldowns and debuffs in arena. Like it or not the game has been over-designed and calibrated for WA and DBM since Cata if not WotLK
@@Mike-ce2nk I didn't start using DBM until HFC. I stopped using WAs. With the UI integrating Bartender functionality, I don't use it anymore. I have a CD tracker for M+. I have addons for PvP. The story is terrible, stop trying to make the expansion look good Blizzard employee/bot. It has the same terrible story every other expansion does with weird stilted delivery and le epic scene at the end where the bad guy talks smack, gets an artifact, destroyed, then curses you. No doubt we won't be able to finish them off until the last patch too.

@@TrepidFaceHugger He's not salty. I came back several months before the end of DF and I find TWW unsatisfying if not disappointing so far, nothing about this expansion outside of some QoL changes seem appealing. Gameplay-wise, the Hero Talents are a cool concept but for some classes are crap, the Dark Ranger tree for Hunters being an example.
People who still play retail are perfectly okay with the game being stagnant, lifeless, and unfriendly to new players. As a long time player, this really has been the best expansion in a while so far. The focus on narrative driven story and alt-friendlyness of leveling/gearing, its shaping up to be a really solid expansion, I just hope that raid and m+ tuning isn't super oppressive and the fight designs for raid are unique and fun.
You haven't - really- played the expansion, have you? A lot of the things that you say/guess in the video are simply not true. How can you say that the story is bad when you don't read anything and skip everything? Atleast just say that you are not interested in the story
The story is fucking dogshit. It's the same crap as Dragonflight and not improved in anyway. You'd have to be a Blizzard employee or a legitimate bot to think the writing in TWW is in any shape or form good. It's contrived slop with terrible stilted voice acting on top of it.
Giving spoilers for Dalaran and Khadgar with no warning on a first impressions that a lot of people will watch to decide if they want to play, so won't have experienced yet was a REALLY shitty thing to do.
Seems to be his flaw, he doesn't really pay attention or care about story in any mmos generally (Hence all his skipping and lack of like on ff14) so i guess for some reason it just doesn't occur to him the importance of spoiler warnings or smt.
I’ll have to completely and totally disagree on the leveling experience. I usually feel the same way and just rush to max level not caring for the story. This time it was different. I think if you gave the story the old college try, you’d be pleasantly surprised
I was listening to this in the background as I worked and I just found myself laughing so much! Especially during the spider zone. "Yeah, I'm sure I am welcome here. Welcome for dinner later on" Haha! Thanks for the laughs and the info.
this game wouldn't exist without addons, too many people are not default ui enjoyers and saying you want them banned is pretty selfish, especially when you probably have no idea how much better they can make the game, given your stance on them. sounds like you struggled with them once and gave up.
I agree that addons that directly intervene in game mechanics were never really good for the game.. But I still loved how pure artistic GUIs could individualize each of your characters. Having an Arcane mage with an arcane themed GUI and when i skill to Fire it switches to fire was cool And don't ask what stupid GUIs i had for my druid... :-X
I agree this is the least hype expac sofar, which is insane cause DF had like 0 hype. Sad they pulled this early access bs cause it just killed the hype for a kinda good expac
First met this guy during mop he was streaming on twitch to a small audience and hosting a duel tournament on his feral. Crazy to see how far he's come. Just shows the key to anything in life is consistency.
Most fun I’ve had in wow since WoD. That said the dungeons and heroics have been snooze so far. The story and questing was great and a lot of nice updates. Just wish some of it wasn’t so watered down complexity wise.
For any PvP enjoyers, there is now solo queue ranked battlegrounds in addition to the previously added ranked solo shuffle arena. This was what brought me back, I only play PvP games and this new expansion will hopefully drag me away from LoL for a while.
Why ban add ons? You don't like using them. Fine. I do though, and me having my add one doesn't change anything for you. Quit trying to force everyone to play the way you personally prefer. How would you feel if you were forced to use add ons? They are optional for a reason.
In end game content they are required that’s why. Try playing arena, doing high key and heroic raids without them….. the game is literally made with them in mind. Blizzard devs have said it’s an arms race between addon creators and encounter designers. Just make the base ui better………
@@McC1oudv2 not really that unpopular, classic is right there. People just don't have time anymore. They go for RPGs for that experience, for group activities and the MMOrpg audience, who has time to wait/to dedicate themselves for months to kill a boss/raid?
I've been really enjoying this expansion so far. Really nice to see Blizz stepping up their game story wise! The music and general atmosphere has been solid, and of course the gameplay just feels good. It's not the most mind blowing expansion, but generally speaking just feels like an improvement across the board. Hope they keep this up!
TWW is pretty mediocre. The story is better than in the previous expansion although it misses the epicness of pre-BfA stories. As a warlock I have to say, the class plays awful. There is no worse feeling than casting something below GCD. Also I have the feeling that my damage is so proc based that I have no control over it. Seems similar to other classes. Delves are just boring beyond the 1st clear. Needing a key for the big chest is just stupid. Some dungeons are a hit, some are a miss. So yeah, I regret having bought the expansion.
Major criticism for this video is: The season hasn't started and you aren't able to play the end-game content like raids and M+, where most of the gameplay loop revolves around and what most people play for. This review is at least 1 month too early
because he is just lazy, addons are simple, and there is a whole manager system, and once you install an addon, all you gotta do is update it every so often with a click of the button. It's also not like you need 5000 addons to do high-end content, it's a few. This dude's content has gone down hill over the years. Living up to his name for sure.
The hate for addons is def unwarranted and taking away the freedom and user-control is the last thing we need in this day and age where its the norm for companies to micro-manage everything down to the basic graphical interface and not give the user any sort of control or flexibility in modifying it to their own personal likings. I started playing WoW in WoD and the idea of addons was never confusing, nor overwhelming for me at all and I doubt it's that for others aswell since modding in general isn't exactly a foreign concept to PC gamers. And in WoW its just super easy as-well with just a simple addon manager. And I even gone as far now to learn LUA scripting and try to "rice" my WoW UI to make it something cool and make the game display information in a way it makes the most sense for me, which definitely has become one of my side WoW-hobbies. Now I get the vast majority of players are not gonna be intressted in that and that too is perfectly fine. Even I myself for years pretty much never configured any of the addons I got and using their out of box settings and I still did all the mid-core content.
I loved WoW TWW & did EA! I enjoyed EA but I can understand the frustration & how it split the WoW community! I am okay with no more EA from Blizzard! But I love them all for different reasons! I will check out WoW's 20th Anniversary thing later this year!
i dont think Blizzard hyped it up much at all, which means it doesnt have to meet peoples super high expectations, its a great expansion and people are rating it highly
and the 4 characters that appear are just the ones you have favorited whatever number of characters you may have are still part of your warband sharing everything among em

Responding to the angry crowd here - I actually did read each MSQ quest and took my time. Isle of Dorm was decent story wise. Ringing deeps was terrible. Hollowfall is aesthetically and lore wise the best zone and the story was decent. The final zone the story is not very good. The quality is very much all over the place. I’d rate the zones as Hollowfall, Isle of Dorn, Ringing Deeps, then Azhkahet. Delves are terrible and are a slightly more repeatable version of Torghast. The hero talents are fun. PvP seems like it’ll be great. The expansion doesn’t make me want to do PvE again after I quit in SL.

Addons is actually a big reason why I love WoW. Drives me nuts when I try other MMOs and they either have no addon support or no one making the addons. Each to their own I guess.
To me the quality of life changes are the selling point. Sharing inventory and having a reagent bank helps with professions so much. I don't have to send all of my items through the mail to alts to create a self-sufficient profession chain. I can tell that content is gonna probably be the most fun of all.

I’ve quit WoW and came back multiple times over the years, so I’m well aware of the games faults. But if you’re making a video, as arguably the biggest MMO channel on TH-cam, he should be doing more than 10 minutes of research on the game. This video is straight up spreading misinformation.
"I think they should ban every UI except for the one that I like" So let's make sure that everyone has the same UI that he likes and ban everything else! What a stupid comment!
Yeah that comment actually pissed me off a bit. I haven't even played this game in so many years, but addons were a great addition that have only gotten better from what I've heard...
Yeah would be better for everyone if the addons were purged and things were just customizable in game similar to what they've done with the action bars.
Yeah man normally I love your vids but this one just... missed. There is a lot of hype around this expansion and a lot of people are just enjoying it. The storyline was good, the cutscenes were good and this expansion has some of the best level, music and class design in a very long time. Some of them, like Hallowfall, in the history of the game. End game has been fun, delves are great, the horizon seems solid at least for the next 6 months. I just feel ya had a bad take with this one. And that's fine! Just don't agree this time around on my end.
a bit weird for the take in this video... For a first impressions video, it's strange how you skip over the fact the storytelling in this expansion is clearly better and the side quests are also better in general. There are small features like the "stay a while & listen" which you can select and the characters will keep talking expanding the story further. You could've also mentioned that apart from the making the game alt friendly this is the second expansion without systems meaning that blizzard was able to built on the already simpler game that was dragonflight. Also, first impressions video and no hero talents? w/e
Great video, people just mad he didn’t give their 6/10 game a 10/10 rating. Personally I’m having fun with TWW and I’ll keep playing until I start to feel the burnout, but let’s be real it’s the same generic stuff Blizz has been giving us these past years. This is just his first impression/opinion of the game. If a new person came into WoW I’m sure they’d be on the same boat, I doubt they’d care at all about the story. If you like the game good for you, if not then hey maybe next expansion!
>doesnt read text or watch cutscenes >complains about the story >38k views honestly i didnt realize it was this easy to be a content creator. you can just half ass this shit and make bank.
i can tell that you dont REALLY play wow... you just play to play for videos..... half the stuff you were wrong about.. and the Add ons comment?? thats how we know ur not a wow player lmao the add ons make the game 100x better lol
it feels like the gameplay of wow has really stayed the same since pandaria until now and blizzard are too scared of trying to change the gameplay of being focused around just dungeons, raids, and pvp as endgame progression, so wow will sadly never be the best mmorpg
ahh look at those wow addicts in the comment section , they can't accept that their game is getting worse and worse and more emptier and blizzard is milking them hard like a dying cow
I never seen any announcements or recommended videos for this expansion release. I had to look it up because how little hype there seems to be. Dragon flight was huge. What happened?
Look, I'm playing this expansion and probably will for another month or two at most like I do every WoW expansion, at the same time I wouldn't be sad if WoW crashed and burned and the servers completely shut down so I'm not a fan by any means, it's just an MMO I play when a new expansion comes around, but I have to say that this was one of the worst first impressions I have every seen on this channel lmao. So much wrong information and so many "I guess" when every single point made in this video could have been fact checked in less than 15 minutes total or just asked to a WoW player that's currently playing the expansion not casually. This was incredibly lazy and I can't think of any reason as to why this video was made except for the cash grab potential of talking about the newest WoW expansion when it just released ... This was bad, plain and simple.
As someone who came back after quitting at the end of legion. No. It was not worth coming back. While each class has remains of the core rotation. It's a giant game of keeping the plates spinning. I leveled 5 chars to 75. 1 to 80. It's so hard to find a class that's worth playing. It's all about procs now, to many spells. Tried to go holy pal and its barely recognizable. Not to mention the dragonworld your led to level in feels exactly the same as tww. The whole world of warcraft is empty out side of expansion zone

The WoW expansion is NOT worth the $50 box price plus $15 sub. Before quitting, I was only playing rated Blitz Brawl PvP. And as fun as that was, it's not worth paying a monthly sub just for that content.

THIS.
No it's not you fool.
Lol and he makes videos to tell people to play or not....(yea wow is 100% awesome tho)
Reviewers don't play the game.
400 likes, seems like the least hyped video he has ever made."
So take this whole video with a grain of salt.
Yea I agree. I think this video was a total miss in my opinion. Lack of effort and understanding was very clear.

In end game content they are required that’s why. Try playing arena, doing high key and heroic raids without them….. the game is literally made with them in mind. Blizzard devs have said it’s an arms race between addon creators and encounter designers. Just make the base ui better………
Unpopular opinion "I miss the month long leveling adventure. There is no grandness in the adventure anymore."
You know you can get highest item lvl gear in delves if the season starts, sure you need some mechanic to unlock the gear progression thru that….
Nice to see the solo dungeons! That will be for me if I pick up this expansion.
Major criticism for this video is: The season hasn't started and you aren't able to play the end-game content like raids and M+, where most of the gameplay loop revolves around and what most people play for. This review is at least 1 month too early
Heroics are the endgame content right now hehe
that close up on Craig saying "oops" was perfect @6:32
This entire game just seems "standard" now. Nothing new to be excited about.
(And what's the issue with addons? Weird thing to be bothered by.)
because he is just lazy, addons are simple, and there is a whole manager system, and once you install an addon, all you gotta do is update it every so often with a click of the button.
Turn on warmode dude. Way more people phased in war mode than normal. At least in my experience.
The man just refuses to read.
I clicked for the nostalgia of watching these videos. But I havent touches wow in a few years and honestly my life is better for it.
you can tell lazy peon played a fair bit overnight with the fresh new transmog at 18:05 alright guys, rate his new mog.

I loved WoW TWW & did EA! I enjoyed EA but I can understand the frustration & how it split the WoW community! I am okay with no more EA from Blizzard! I have done both stories from FFXIV & WoW now I am moving on to all of the other games in my never-ending LIST! FFXIV is my Main MMORPG, GW2 is 2nd, & WoW is 3rd! But I love them all for different reasons! I will check out WoW's 20th Anniversary thing later this year!
Crazy, this expansion seems to be most hype since legion IMO.
Lazypeon made a lazy review of the expansion, dont listen to him.
i dont think Blizzard hyped it up much at all, which means it doesnt have to meet peoples super high expectations, its a great expansion and people are rating it highly
I didn't even know it was already released, I didn't see any hype.

Try Guild Wars 2 and see cities full of players
I played on release aswell, and my realm's Hub was full to the brim with players, and every zone was full aswell. But i personally enjoy it alot! But as always a nice vid.
And nobody felt split for Early Access as you did not get alot of content with it.
Some people need to understand that not every player will inform themselves about every new feature/detail about a game before buying. A lot of players just see the trailer then buy and play.
The video is called "Is it worth playing?" I feel like that implies some minor fact checking is to be expected from the content creator.
But he is a reviewer content creator, he need to know what he is talking about to not spread misinformation, leading viewers to taking wrong conclusions.

Huh? 😂
The takes on this video were some of the worst Peon takes ever. War within has been some of the most refreshing Wow content in years. Delves are an absolute blast.
Absolute blast? 😂
Talk about exaggerating 😂
Last time I played was in 2014 it looks like it had a graphics update is it any good then game ?

"Launch failure" now means it wasn't hyped for you? I thought failed launches meant that servers crashed and there were endless bugs.
Your name really comes into play here, because it feels like you just "zug zugged" through this thing like a Lazy Peon.
There's definitely things to criticize the game for, but your perspective just feels like it's coming from that one friend you forced to play WoW and they really would just do something else. You spend more time putting care and attention to detail into a game that's nowhere near launching (Ashes of Creation).

Lol, you the guy who plays games with "Auto-Play" features, because you are too dumb xD
Thanks for your thoughts vid, always fun to hear your perspective mate!
Actually this time the hype was really big. Haven’t you paid enough attention then 😁
To me the quality of life changes are the selling point. Sharing inventory and having a reagent bank helps with professions so much. I don't have to send all of my items through the mail to alts to create a self-sufficient profession chain. I can tell that content is gonna probably be the most fun of all.
lol I must be completely checked out because I didn't even know there was a new expansion
Ban addons because you don't like them?
3:53 BASED, it needs to be said, addons have ruined WoW, making it too easy and more of a numbers game, trying to min max literally everything instead of just playing the game for fun
The only people that hate addons are complete trash players being mad others can see how trash they are.
@@LordsUther honestly yeah lol
@@manjodhshokar440 You only truly need addons if you raid mythic top 500 world wide. Under that and you dont need them. But somehow they gaslit themselves into thinking addons are required for hc dungeons and world content. Truly delusional
For returning players or concurrent players yes. For new players? No
LOL the retail andies all over the comments crying about a negative video of their precious game xD these fanboys live in fantasy world where no one is allowed to have a different opinion on their dying game. They only play wow so they think anything wow does is the best thing ever (they really need to try out other games) and they legit have no standards so they are fine paying $15 a month on subpar at best content
Btw retail fanboys, you wanna try and explain why blizzard once again hasn't released any sales figure for TWW? Oof, guess it sold even worse than DF, barely made any traction on twitch and a few QoL improvements don't change how generic and formulaic all the content has become, barely any new features in an expansion, delves are reskinned scenarios/open-world dungeons that have already become stale, pvp is a disaster, story is even worse than DF, hero classes are boring, early access bs ruined the launch and on and on with the issues.
Nah bro you're missing the point here, see Blizzard is actually pulling a 500 IQ move by releasing less and less content year after year, alienating the playerbase that actually have any standards. By doing this, the only people that remain are these wow white-knights who not only eat up any garbage Blizzard releases, they actually pay extra to play it 3 days earlier while endlessly defending the game without any complaint.
I bet (and quote me when it happens) after a while they'll get away with selling classic versions of modern day expansions at full price. Only difference likely gonna be, that now you can pay $50 extra to play a week earlier and $100 extra to have GPT-4.0 power the bots in your raid group instead of GPT-3.5
@@balazs787 lol ya I can see that happen, the ppl left playing retail literally have no standards at all and just eat up any and all the shit Blizzard shovel at them, then they go around defending blizzard and saying "omg retail is so gooooood!"
@@voidox Truly unfortunate what happened to retail too. They butchered the story, they killed off (both literally and figuratively) characters with DECADES of character development, haven't added anything meaningful to PvP or PVE for years. The art team was carrying them for a while, but since Shadowlands even that department feels uninspired to work anymore. Now they try to copy shit from PoE while doing absolutely zero research into why it was fun there...
It would take a team of people who are ALL fully passionate about the game with realistic deadlines to turn this ship around, ...but now with Microsoft at the wheel, I really can't see that ever happening.
@@balazs787 yup, Danuser and co. ruined the story from BFA, even legion had a lot of messy writing and the final patch was a complete waste of story/characters that should've been an entire expansion like Azshara and Nz'oth.
and even with Danuser gone, his writing team is still there and somehow the writing has gotten even worse. DF was as bad as SL and TWW is only slightly better, still awful. All the retcons and destruction of the Warcraft lore and IP people loved before BFA :/
then ya, from DF even the art team has gone down a lot in quality, disneyfying the visuals of the game and adding awful furry stuff like dragonkin and whatnot :/ As you say, they just copy-paste stuff now like look how uncreative and bad their take was on the actual emerald of dream zone... so bad.
basically the game has declined into the same shit over and over each patch just in new zones that now are boring maps. Even expansions are just big patches with barely more content than the basics of 3-4 new zones, new dungeons, new raid, das it. It's so lacking and formulaic now.
@@voidox Completely agree. Yeah, "disneyfying" is such a perfect way to put it. I couldn't believe how un-thematic Revendreth was for example, with complete lack of shadows and contrast. Even Ardenweald had more of a "dark zone" feeling
tbh even though it wasn't hyped I didn't care because I started playing few days later anyway, when it comes to gameplay I love new hero talents so leveling feels very good too and and it is very fun to play overall. lore was decent sometimes even compelling and much better than dragonflight in my opinion overall very good and decent wow expansion for wow enjoyers but nothing very new
Not a great review. You're obviously burnt out of the game and are going into every piece of content with a negative light.
Seriously! I've never disagreed with a Peon video so much. This expansion was super hype and the story was great. He just seems really burnt out on WoW and doesn't seem to care to even get his facts straight on anything.
Could be, but other WoW burnouts might find his take useful. He's not alone.
@mobius4247 I don't disagree, but when the complaints are about the game on a fundamental level, it's time to move on.
@@Crazylegs677 if he was just a random player, yes, he should not play, it's not fun. But as it's his job, he's chosen to continue to suffer. I know my Retail Andy WoW enjoyer friends like TWW so far, but I haven't heard any non-WoW friends bring it up.
He probably hasnt touched wow since 2 weeks into dragonflight but hes burnt out xD more like he just calls garbage when he sees it. Play some other games then maybe you would see how trash wow is also.
Blizz will never remove addons. That said they don't need to all they need to do is limit what the API can access. That would stop things like DBM being mandatory and limit how crazy weak auras can be which would also means they dont have to build mechanics around any of that and raids would be more fun.
"If you are doing dungeons with NPCsand wipe, you are the problem and there is nobody else to blame"

100% agree with ban the addons.

Yeah, Dornogal is very populated on EU servers.
Delves are awesome!

You didn't talk about it.
Peon is not a story kinda guy (at least with MMOs).
I recently decided to get a wow subscription back to play the cata vanilla thing and was like "I miss pet battles" I really did enjoy leveling with them, it was calm and relaxing. Anyway A thought went through my head "I wonder how good the new expansion is" I only played for like the first month of dragon flight but it was not a bad experience, I enjoyed a lil more then the leveling in shadow lands and playing cata really did make me think of all the quality of life things the retail has.
"loves some pvp, was hard to gear up at first" *playing against bots* lol
Not gonna lie, if they included a decent native DPS/heals meter and proper functional raid UI that was healer friendly, I'd be over the moon about removing all addons as a blanket rule. I HATE the addon politics, and gatekeeping, and I would actually consider coming back to the game if they stopped that shite cold.
And OOOOOH An arachnid expansion... LOVELY for arachnophobes!! 🤦
Good preview, glad you are not a WOW fanboi
This is a terrible video. It’s okay if he doesn’t like the game anymore or the expansion. But half the information was just factually and objectively wrong. I’ve been a huge fan of Craig for years now, but it’s clear he is burnt out on WoW and has a lot of negative biases towards it. I’ve quit WoW and came back multiple times over the years, so I’m well aware of the games faults. But if you’re making a video, as arguably the biggest MMO channel on TH-cam, he should be doing more than 10 minutes of research on the game. This video is straight up spreading misinformation.
Good preview
Need me to sift through pig shit to find your car keys. That was awesome I couldn’t stop laughing.
Peon is a bit of an autist who struggles with considering perspectives outside of his own very narrow one.

People don’t understand what first impressions means and it shows.
a bit weird for the take in this video...

He made a first impression vid not a full on review 🤦
As someone who came back after quitting at the end of legion. No. It was not worth coming back. While each class has remains of the core rotation. It's a giant game of keeping the plates spinning. I leveled 5 chars to 75. 1 to 80. It's so hard to find a class that's worth playing. It's all about procs now, to many spells. Tried to go holy pal and its barely recognizable. Not to mention the dragonworld your led to level in feels exactly the same as tww. The whole world of warcraft is empty out side of expansion zone
