- Here comes the classic Sweet & Sour Chili Crab Malaysian home cooked style!!!! So delicious! The sweet & sour chili sauce is so awesome! The crab meat is so fresh & tasty! Try out this recipe at home!
Recipe:-
SWEET & SOUR CHILI CRAB 甜酸螃蟹
500g MUD CRAB
1 TABLESPOON MINCED GARLIC
1 TABLESPOON MINCED GINGER
1 RED ONION DICED
1 RED CHILI CHOP FINELY
2 THAI CHILI CHOP FINELY
2 SPRING ONIONS
1 TABLESPOON FERMENTED BEAN PASTE
CILANTRO FOR GARNISHING
SAUCE
8 TABLESPOON TOMATO SAUCE
4 TABLESPOON CHILI SAUCE
1 TEASPOON VINEGAR
1-2 TEASPOON SUGAR
¼ TEASPOON WHITE PEPPER
500ml WARM WATER
COMBINE TOMATO, CHILI SAUCE, VINEGAR, SUGAR, WHITE PEPPER
ADD IN 100ml WARM WATER TO MIX SAUCE
HEAT WOK WITH 2 TABLESPOON COOKING OIL
ADD IN GINGER, GARLIC, CHILIS, FERMENTED BEAN PASTE & ONION. STIR FRY UNTIL FRAGRANT
ADD IN SAUCE & 400ml WATER
ADD IN CRAB AND STIR TO COAT WITH SAUCE
COVER AND COOK FOR 5-8 MINUTES
ADD IN BEATEN EGG & STIR QUICKLY THEN SPRING ONIONS & CILANTRO TO GARNISH

I don't understand the fermented bean paste part.
Kun Lau fermented bean paste is to add flavour to the sauce. U can replace by oyster sauce.
