i tried the recipe and its soooo good! my husb n i loved it n will definitely keep it in the repetoire. but next time will try to get the biggest prawn we cn find, and amp up the heat level to suit our asian tongue (this recipe is mild). but yeah, totally recommend it! thanx marion!
There are 3 other ingredients you can add to take this dish to another level - finely chopped lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and galangal....and dont forget some tamarind paste( for the serving that you cooked, just a teaspoon or two will do).
Funny, I've been making chili crab for years, and have just thought about these ingredients added to the brew. AND I just happen to have all of the above in the fridge! Will pick up the shrimp/prawns tomorrow for our mid holiday feast. Thanks for that suggestion.
Ditto!! Nothing like grilled whole prawn basted with chili-garlic-butter while grilling. Eat antenae first from head to tail and all that deliciousness in between!!!
I made this today for lunch and OMG it is to die for!! Super yummilicious and my hubby loveeeed it so much! Thank u Marion for your brilliant recipe as always!! 💗💗💗
Hallo Top Chef.. Bahan yang jamu miss out.. Belacheng goreng dan garam dan cabai kisar 5 spoon adalah recipi yg paling mustahak di recipi tersebut, bawang panjang 1pokok potong pendek. Tomato 1 biji, potong 4 belah, juice limau niois 3 spoon, Am jeping 2 keping, chicken stock, ok.. Well done. !
Marion's recipes are the best. Her channel is my go-to whenever I need a good recipe. Thank you again for another wonderful idea! I just made it for lunch and it's another winner..... as what Mama Noi will always say! 😄😄❤❤❤
i cooked chili Prawn already I've been working in Singapore for 10 years now here in Philippines for good . ive cooked for my family and they loved so much
Sydney Yeo omg yeah, there’s nothing like dipping the mantou into that sauce. I like this version better because I’m not a huge fan of crab (all the Asians coming after me because of this comment)
Followed your recipe and made this chilli prawns for dinner. It is a hit! Have too much of the sauce left and I just dress it over steamed rice and it is delish.
This recipe is great. I've been making this dish for years whenever I need to entertain. Simple ingredients but the taste is not simple at all. So yummy and I like the shrimp version better because it's easier to eat than crab but still there are all the flavors. So good.
"STOP" MAKING ALL THESE COOKING VIDEOS ALREADY!!! For the past few Saturdays I've been occupied trying out your receipes!!!! MY WIFE SAYS YOU ARE TAKING AWAY ALL THE ATTENTION FROM HER!!!!! LOL!!!
My brother and I always eat the prawn heads, Fair dinkum that's where 95% of the prawn flavour is. And if the tail shell is soft I don't bother even peeling the prawns.
Sis Chilku 8 sudu, Sos tomato 4 sudu, baeang putih 2 biji tumbuk harus, gula 2 sudu, juice limau nipis 3 sudu, kicap air, serbuk lada putih 1 tea spoon, mixed well. 7dengan 5 spoon air panas.. Last 30 secound baru turun dalam kuah Udang.. Finished work.. Ok.
Marion I am literally eating whilst I watch as if I have dinner first then watch I need to eat again haha 😃would you ever do a Q&A? I just would like to know your 5 must have pantry ingredients, your favourite cuisine that is not Asian, and - this might be very difficult, I guess whatever jumps to mind first: the best restaurant you ever visited in Asia 😃you never do any Q&A so it would be great to hear more from you, your cooking is super inspiring 😃😃😃
Oh! And have you ever been to Palawan? I’m going on my honeymoon and I’d love to know what dishes to seek out. I heard the Philippines is not the best Asian cuisine but I’m sure there must be some great dishes to find and destroy!
This looks absolutely amazing!! We go to our local Singapore restaurant and get this dish all the time! Thankyou for putting this up as we know now how to make it 😍😍👍🏼👍🏼
I hate you, Marion! I was watching this at 1 in the morning and I was salivating! I want to make this dish but I don't think we have the soybean paste readily available here in the Philippines! I'm a subscriber now and adore your recipes!
I made your version of nasi goreng it was quite good. We don't normally use chillies. But I had to use the red dry chilli soaked in hot water . Loved the hint of spice.
You are the best food presenter and i have to give kudos to your camera crew and editor because your videos are next level, you all really know what you are doing and that is, you make people hungry! :D :D :D :D These close-ups and slow motions parts, ahhhhh
I tried this recipe last night for dinner and it was an absolute hit 🔥Tasted so good,I used palm sugar instead of white and served it with steamed Mantau Buns. Thanks Marion for sharing this easy to cook restaurant style recipe.
Hi Marion, love your recipes and cooking channel. Can you pls make something using tofu or paneer, but in a chilli garlic or a manchurian sauce. Even a cauliflower manchurian or paneer chilli garlic manchurian will be tasty!!! Thanks kindly!

Marion always wears the whitest of shirts to cook the most dangerous of sauces / gravy types of dishes LOL
Speaks of pure confidence i'd say.
I'd be flicking sauce everywhere! White is defo not for me!
Danger is her middle name
Stop camera, change into another white, roll camera ;)
But she is sooo talented so no worries of dropping even a little ❤️😂
Marion is enchanting to watch 😱😄 And any food she cooks just looks so splendid!
i tried the recipe and its soooo good! my husb n i loved it n will definitely keep it in the repetoire. but next time will try to get the biggest prawn we cn find, and amp up the heat level to suit our asian tongue (this recipe is mild). but yeah, totally recommend it! thanx marion!
If u don't mind me asking... What kind of 🌶 did u use?
I think so, this recipe is mild
I added 2 small red birds eye chili and thar was enough heat. I also added galangal (blue ginger) little to the food processor and blended it all.
There are 3 other ingredients you can add to take this dish to another level - finely chopped lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and galangal....and dont forget some tamarind paste( for the serving that you cooked, just a teaspoon or two will do).
Hi which steps and when will you add them in? Please provide a full guide!!
Funny, I've been making chili crab for years, and have just thought about these ingredients added to the brew. AND I just happen to have all of the above in the fridge! Will pick up the shrimp/prawns tomorrow for our mid holiday feast. Thanks for that suggestion.
A true Asian girl after my own heart, thank you for showing the world how we enjoy food!
Prawn heads deep fried until crunchy sprinkled with some sea salt flakes. ..who needs beer nuts.

Ditto!! Nothing like grilled whole prawn basted with chili-garlic-butter while grilling. Eat antenae first from head to tail and all that deliciousness in between!!!

In Singapore here, we dip steam buns or mantou in the gravy til the last drop
Sydney Yeo omg yeah, there’s nothing like dipping the mantou into that sauce. I like this version better because I’m not a huge fan of crab (all the Asians coming after me because of this comment)
parmeila dhevi crab is better than lobstee
parmeila dhevi ... crab is sooooooo good 😂🤣
No it actually started with baguette then evolve to mantou
I was wondering where the buns were. that sweet bun goes so well.
Followed your recipe and made this chilli prawns for dinner. It is a hit! Have too much of the sauce left and I just dress it over steamed rice and it is delish.

She really has this magic charisma when speaking.. So subtle yet so enticing... just like the food she's cooked. Hope to taste it one day!!!

Cooking prawns with the skin is so much more flavourful!
This recipe is great. I've been making this dish for years whenever I need to entertain. Simple ingredients but the taste is not simple at all. So yummy and I like the shrimp version better because it's easier to eat than crab but still there are all the flavors. So good.

What is that chopper you used? It did the job phenomenally
Hi Marion besides prawn, what’s else can we substitute? Was wondering fish.. and recommendation what kind of fish?
I made it today, so yummy 😋. Thanks for the recipe
All of the shrimp flavor is in it's head. I don't get why people remove it.
How do you clean the s#!t from its head?
Not everyone is a fan of chewing on or picking off heads once cooked. Same with crawfish.
@@almighty_ed you don't because it's not shit.
@@Deangirl86 you boil all of the shells, tail, and head in some water and use that to replace the water in the recipe. Don't waste it.
Flavour of shit??
Another triumph Marion… I used the prawn shells etc to make a stock which worked very well and a little lime zest at the end x
You are just the best! Love your no-shame shrimp head eating!
Tried this recipe... oh my oh my... Sooooo tasty! Soooo good! Thanks for sharing Marian.. 🥰
