Nice to see someone else film in here :D I've been to this store more than any other in Nagoya, yet I never bought anything there. I treat it more like a museum. They got a huge selection and a lot of rare stuff. And it's just so cool to be able to see all of this!
It's worth visiting just to see if anything. I bought a strategy guide and a couple of controllers at this branch, nothing that will break the bank haha! Cheers!
I've been to 5 of the 6 Super Potato stores (I'm missing one of the Osaka stores), and Nagoya was by far the best one. Back in my last trip to Japan in 2019, they had stacks of CIB Virtua Cop with the light gun for the Saturn for only 500 JPY. All in mint condition. They also had the original wireless Sega Saturn controller with the receiver for a little under the fair market value at the time. I thought their inventory and prices were the best of all the Super Potato. While you can probably find better deals elsewhere, there were some great deals the last time I visited this specific store. It's on my list of stores to revisit in my upcoming trip to Japan next month too.
I recommend this place! Especially to the hardcore collector. Its stock is certainly better than the one in Akihabara. I’ll show off more controllers in the second part! There is some good stuff yet to come, cheers!
I love how they played F-Zero X music through the store. I grew up playing that game with my brother and have so much nostalgia for the music and memories that were made.
I wish I had gone to Nagoya I had no idea it had so much variety, there is more here than in Tokyo/Osaka for me. My no1 wanted game on my list was Doremi Fantasy and it sits there on its perch. They also had Go go Ackman 3 and Magical Pop'n but I couldn't see the price on Popn.
I didn't know Super Potato was more of a touristy place but that makes sense. I went in 3 stores and only walked away with 1 item from those 3 visits...Castlevania Symphony of the Night! I got it for about 6500 yen right before another guy was going to grab it. Right below market price so I had to grab it.
HOLY COW 360 dollars for the big box NES? Obviously it has to be super rare in Japan, just like how the Famicoms are rare here too. Another great video JJ. My wallet is safe for now...until i come to japan 🙃
Thanks for another banger video JJ. Super Potato has always been pricy but for someone looking for availability and condition minus time/travel might find it worthwhile. I collect N64 JPN and those prices in the showcase vary from 20%-150% markup 😮. Especially Getter Love N64 is at 77k yen cib man this is usually 24k to 40k yen😁.
You’re absolutely right. This place can check a lot of marks for the collector with limited time. The n64 games certainly had a premium markup. But that sweet Atomic Purple N64 had a competitive price point. Good stuff indeed, cheers!
Hi , maybe you Can help . I'am in japan and i want find a ps vita Aqua blue or metalic red . You Saw one Somewhere ? Thanks and sorry for my english , im french 😅
Oui oui, mon ami! Haha, I don't know much French, but I have seen the Aqua blue PS Vita. In fact, many colors! In this video link below, skip to 01:21 and you will get a glimpse of all the PS Vita they have to offer th-cam.com/video/BzH4XPdp6bU/w-d-xo.html Happy hunting!
This place is more for the hardcore collector. For deals it's best to stick to online, Surugaya, the OFF stores and the Furu brand shops. There are still some competitive prices on select goods, like that Atomic Purple N64! Cheers!
When I was in Nagoya, it was only for a few hours across a few days. Perhaps when I return on vacation. The gaming scene seems to be very good in Aichi. Cheers!
Its crazy to see everything in PERFECT condition. And it drives me nuts that they got the awesome shaped boxes with the awesome art. Americans in charge of things back then had horrible taste and/or a horrible concept of what we like.
I've been to 4 out of the 6 shops. Only two more to go! Som things, like controllers, OSTs and guidebooks, are worth considering when shopping at Super Potato. More to come from this shop, cheers!

The music they played really sets the vibe! More to come from this location, cheers!

Haha, yessir. Deep in Ninja territory I went. Cheers!

¥217,800 for Magical Pop'n! The SuperFami stock was stellar to say the least. There's more to come from this joint, stay tuned! Cheers!
Great video... couldn't see the price of Magical Pop'n though... the last SF game behind glass.😵💫

Nice score! I recently picked up the guide book for that very game. Such a classic, cheers!

That NES is definitely hard to come by here in Japan. There is more to come from this place as the second floor is more to my taste. Cheers!
