I have bigger and smaller saws than these. I like them all; but I love my 10" and 12" Greenworks saws. I put full chisel chains on both of them; and they really cut for their size.
Yup I'll keep my little Stihl! It works flawlessly for its intended purpose. I volunteer for my County and State trail systems so it's part of my arsenal and used for low branches not high enough for the Stihl pole pruner. I used cooking oil instead of bar oil and carved my Thanksgiving turkey and the cuts were inline with deli cuts! 🤣🤣🤣
Eventually though all your going to see is battery powered chainsaws gas powered chainsaws will become a thing of the past it’ll obviously be awhile before that ever happens but it will they’ll make it someday to where batteries will have such a long life to where you won’t hardly have to charge them I mean look at how far battery powered tools have come since they first came out eventually it will be pointless to even buy a gas powered chainsaw unless you like doing a ton of maintenance.
@@corygriffiths4394 now we know how the old old timers felt when they spent their whole life using a 2man saw then chain saws starting showing up and they didn't want to deal with them! 🤣😁😭

You missed an important test and that is to do an undercut. I just went through two (2) Ryobi 10" 40V because they blow the chain tensioner as soon as you undercut. Greenworks is a bit of a dodgy company, it's like they contract build their products. I've never seen another company say "Sold Out" for as many products as they do. Also, their customer support is piss poor!
Something really handy for quick trim around the garden, really good reviews James Merry christmas happy new year to you and the family and everybody at Machinery Nation 👍🎄
How much down force were you applying when cutting the 8inch dia logs? It certainly looked hard work for the saws. You need to get my brother Big John to do a noise over, if they sounded more like screaming 2 strokes it would be better 😁 Happy Christmas and keep up the great work
It’ll be awhile but in the future gas chainsaws will become a thing of the past they’ll make the batteries to where you won’t have to charge them that much I mean I can remember whenever battery powered tools started out they weren’t very good now look at them technology keeps improving with time.
Stihl Win I thing best chainsaw but very expensive. I have Stihl 880 171 more better Than these battery chain saws nit good very weak usually need charge then Iphone
@Machinery Nation the alliance is good. Although if you get the Milwaukee m18 chainsaw, you can use the battery with hundreds of other tools. Oh, an the saw really rips through the job.
From watching this I have learnt that battery chainsaws are still a joke it'll be a long time before I give up my 2 stroke Stihls even though I gave up doing heavy tree surgery years back.

Nice One James That power alliance battery sounds an interesting concept Thanks again
It is a great concept, looking forward to seeing what else comes to the alliance 😎
Certainly looks like the Makita 18v would do circles around all of these.
Watch our video next week I believe you will like it 😎

These look like the are dying lol I have hand held ones that I used today and slice like butter
Are those chains sharpened?
Think you'll find you can change the bar, chain combination on the Stihl for a more aggressive cut. That carving bar chain combi is crap.
Yes you’re right, we done this test with the manufacturers factory bars. Would be interesting to see the comparison 👍🏼
Those would be nice for some quick cleanup, like a fallen limb or small tree where it didn't warrant pulling out the big fuel burner. 👍
Thanks John, Yeah they have their uses… 👍🏼
Have the 40volt Greenworks, and it perfectly adequate for lighter jobs.
Yeah that was a great help I really enjoyed the video it was awesome
Thank you Donna 👍🏼

I thought the Stihl 120 had been replaced by the 160 now?
what about echo dcs 310?

Hahaha yes we should! They would sound amazing then! 😂😂

🤣 Al I thought anything I did was a "Noise Over"
@@Big_Johns you’ve done voice over John, several times. Carburettor noises once but been replayed several times 😁
Well, I might could make a chainsaw sound if I tried really hard, can’t be any worse than the sick mower engine. 🤣

Tried Aldi ferrex ones?
No, to cheap and the parts are hard to come buy for their products.
These batteries chainsaws not fast enough they dont seem to grip fast enough, titan electric chainsaw way better and these , I cut loads pallet wood
These are only baby 10/12” basic saws. We will test the larger saws in another video 👍🏼

Moustashio man was away at a beard convention.
You can’t do a baby chainsaw video without Milwaukee’s M12 or M18 baby chainsaws man…LOL!
Yeah they are hatchets rather than chainsaws , but I get your point 👍🏼

The Battery alliance is all well un good, but that alko saw is shite, even as a small saw. Like a toy, didn't seem to have any power?
It is a bit underwhelming, but if you only want to prune around the garden then it’s ok. The alliance is a great idea 👍🏼

In regard to chaisaws really is not much choice, Stihl or Hushvarna.
You can add Echo chainsaw too they're right up there with those two
