- I don’t have the right words to express the grief of the loss of our dear friend Tyler. He was an extremely talented, deeply soulful, and loving father. I believe he is finally free of his immense pain. I just wish it could’ve happened while he was here. We will miss you Tyler and never forget you. 🙏🏼

I am a 60 year old woman who has watching GH all of my life. It's to the day a piece of me. Family members have sent me birthday cards from Sonny 😂. So when I read that Tyler had died I sobbed. I give Maurice a lot of credit for doing this show. He has had some of the best conversations on mental health that I have seen with people. This was a very good interview and a great tribute to Tyler Christopher may he rest in peace.

There is no one that has played Nikolas like Tyler. Time for Frank to put the character to rest. Tyler was a phenomenal actor and the fact he came on State of Mind and spoke his truth, showed his true character. My heartfelt condolences to you and your cast and crew Maurice.

I agree Tyler was phenomenal. but since three other actors have played the part, and he is a LEGACY character. , it’s highly unlikely they will kill off Nicholas off . This only works when the character is played by 1 actor , like SONYA EDDY as Ephiphany . Jason is killed of FOR NOW , but if needed , they will bring the character back
It's also worth pointing out, the year he was let go from GH due to his alcoholism was the same year his mother died. You never know what people are going through.
As someone that suffered with depression, anxiety and alcoholism I feel so bad for him and his loved ones. I am blessed I came back to the Lord and my life is so much better.

I have struggled with alcoholism for decades… now I have stage IV cirrhosis. One of my bucket list dreams was to meet you, Maurice, which came to fruition in September in Tampa (2 weeks before I was diagnosed and after I quit drinking. My prayers are with Tyler’s family and all who suffer from this horrible disease. Thank you for all you do. Much love and appreciation to you from Florida. ❤

I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand about addiction. My Dad was an alcoholic stay sober for 46 yrs before he died. Mom was addicted to drugs. She committed suicide at 34. I started drinking at 32. I'm now sixty. I've been in and out of AA. Still trying to beat this deal.
I just found out Tyler passed away. I am beyond shocked and saddened by this news. My prayers go out to the loved ones. Just watching this, I was getting emotional and had to pause it. I'm so sorry. 😢😢😢

I'm so glad that he did the interview. It was so insightful to hear him speak from the prospective an an alcoholic. I could tell in the interview that he was still struggling but that made it even more authentic. Alcholism is a terrible monster and getting out of its grip is almost impossible. I am so grateful to be sober today. It took a long time but through Gods help I made it. My heart goes out to all those who suffer and have lost loved ones . RIP Tyler

So much of this interview had some foreshadowing but what broke me was when Tyler was talking about having passed away previously, as he was lying on the bench homeless he said he knew what it felt like to pass away and he knew it was close again. And then his friend pulled up. I can't help but wonder if on Oct 31 he felt it coming again. It's so sad. My heart breaks for his family. Rest in Paradise Tyler. ❤

I was so excited to hear that Tyler Christopher was returning to General Hospital. Tyler was the one who could play the part of Nicklaus. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Jackie Zeman at 70 in May, then Billy Miller just a few days short of age 45. Then dear Tyler Christopher on Halloween at 50. Last year it was Sonya Eddy at 54 lost during surgical procedure. Sad heartbreaking times for GH fans and the cast at GH . I was really hoping to see Tyler return as Nikolas. I’m still heartbroken and stunned that he is gone . REALLY LOVED him as Nikolas. It is just too sad and almost too much to accept. They were both wonderful actors and much too young to leave us. I had also selfishly hoped they could return to General Hospital, and never thought we would lose them in death.
My heart is so messed up over the death of Tyler and Billy Miller. My heart goes out to all of the GH cast. Yes both Billy Miller (to me loved mostly as the best Y&R Billy Abbot actor ever with his emotional scenes with Victoria, other family members, but mostly his scenes revolving around Delia’s death), and Tyler, who I was drawn to when I started GH after my dear precious GL was murdered. He was just like Billy in my opinion l, a great actor with great range,

I have cried multiple times over Tyler's passing. I never met him but would have loved the opportunity. To me, he really was the one and only Nikolas Cassadine. His acting was incredibly deep and vulnerable. I wish he would have love himself more and would have seen in himself what we seen with his performances. Maurice was right not to let him stay at his house. A friend of ours had a family member who was a raging alcoholic & the doctors told them not to let that person stay with their family members & disrupt their lives. If you haven't been around this addiction - it is difficult to understand.

It was so sad hearing the passing of Tyler Christopher. He was my favourite Nicholas. Loved his acting.
The humanity in this is gut wrenching. I'm glad Tyler had moments of clarity and he never stopping trying to learn. I hope with all my heart he rests well. Thank you Maurice for connecting with him, and giving him a chance to be himself, even if it was hard. He will be truly missed, and I'm grateful you both could understand one as other on a level most people can't.

Dealing with someone you've been close to is very hard. I lost my mom several years ago and I'm still grieving.
I lost mine in '97, time helps but it is still hard.
I lost my mom 30 yrs ago & am still grieving for her. I love her so much and it still hurts like hell that I can't see her anymore. I still cry for her & will always feel the pain of not having her anymore.😢😢

About a week and a half before he died I kept thinking about Tyler and I rewatched his interview. He was really on my mind. Then a friend of mine called me and said another actor on GH had passed away and it was Tyler. 😢So sorry he passed away so young and so sorry for all the many problems he had due to alcohol addiction. This brought tears to her eyes , and when she realized he was in the process of writing a book she was really interested in reading it. He was beautiful inside and out. So grateful I got a chance to spend the wknd with him in NY before he passed away. I asked Ty was he still wrkn on his book, he said no. He said when he got to the year 2006, he stopped.
Ty told me everything and then some about his book. It was such an honor. He said, "Tamika, I just told you my life story, if you don't know me by now, I don't know what to say".
I have the best memories of him. He befriended me 2 yrs ago on Christmas eve, from there, a beautiful friendship blossomed. I miss you so much, Ty😢❤

Thank you for posting this. About four days before I heard of his death, I was thinking of the fact that he was the only celebrity I’ve ever met. Back in 2004 in Portland. He seemed like a sweet guy, not full of himself. May he rest in peace and may his memory be forever loving in his children. ❤️😢❤️

I re-watched this interview for the second time after learning of Tyler's passing as I was so affected and moved after watching it the first time. Tyler was articulate and honest in talking about his struggles and it was difficult to imagine the pain he had been through and the daily pain and challenges that he continued to face. Thank you for sharing this again. My bf of 5 yrs passed away in April from what they call an accidental overdose.
He struggled with bipolar and severe anxiety. The truth is that the care given to those suffering is terrible. The counseling center that he went to failed him. Our court system failed him.
More awareness needs to be raised and we need to do more in this country to help people. Everyone should watch this. I will continue to share it.
