I'm tracking with you, Tom! I half-jokingly say that Jesus is an Enneagram 10, because he embodies the highest qualities of each type. And I think of expulsion from the Garden as humans' first and deepest grief. Great insights; I'm recommending this video to my newsletter subscribers.

From you, Tom, I've learned the most about the Enneagram's ability to expose our "sins," which many confuse with pseudo vulnerabilities. In my case as an Eight, it's admitting my anger, something I've defended and even encouraged in others by justifying it in situations that demanded a strong stance, reaction, or quick fix. Anger has definitely been my "sin," and only your way of teaching allows me to gradually lower my shield and sword, and laugh at myself instead of bulldozing my way through. Not always yet, but more and more, I prefer to fly on the wings of lightness of being. Wabi-Sabi is a well-practiced Japanese philosophy about finding beauty in imperfection, and, personally this has been my favorite form of esthetics in design. I love imperfections in Nature and All except I still keep learning to accept it in humanity.

I think pointing out our shortcomings does a greater service than pointing out where we’re great. Because I learned about my personal struggles and sin as a 9 my wellbeing has improved a lot. I’ve been constantly eligible in grades throughout this whole semester, My grades usually fluctuate. I catch myself ignoring or minimizing problems and face them. I got to know what it is I really value under the surface, something I would have probably just kept saying “meh” to if not for the Enneagram.
Your videos are life changing. 🙏😁

This video was so insightful. I'm a 9 wing 1 and a Christian counsellor. I have only used the Eneagram with one client and wonder if your Christian coaching Eneagram course would be suitable in the counselling space?
