Amazing video and wonderful breakdown on costs of both the pass and the car! This is great information! 25 km per litre of gas? sounds abit far fetched... Plus if driving in snow, it is even more tricky, and also dangerous if one is not a good driver. Then there is the slower than usual pace due to the slippery snow, and additional stress of driving in the snow. There seems to be a bus service to Lake Shikotsu, especially during their snow festival. I'm planning a trip to Hokkaido next winter, so the infromation shared in this video is surely important. Thank you!!!
You explain the balance between car, train and bus really well - and time, independence, and cost. This is really useful for a foreigner ! One of my destinations will be Rishiri Island, from Wakkanai, so it was informative to understand the pass costs vs the direct one time purchase costs. Thank you !
if you are visiting Hakodate and Wakkanai both, Hokkaido railpass is definitely effiecient. But you can drive amazing Oloron road with your car on the way to Wakkanai too.
I love the smaller and less popular but stunning places you recommended. This is what I am looking for. Will definitely put in my upcoming trip in Hokkaido. Thank you❤
So helpful video to guide me and fam this end of year to Hokkaido, may i know if i use JR Pass Nationwide, is it i have to pay by cash again if i take a bus? And if i want to take my child, prefer go to Rusutsu or Niseko (we will not skiing, but will choose attraction in resort ski which suitable for my child? Thanks in advance
Thank you so much. I’ve watched so many videos on Hokkaido to plan the trip but by far this is the best. Appreciate you.
Most useful videos for Hokkaido. Thank you
