Something I never would've thought. This is why, even though I don't always get what I want out of an MS20, it remains my favorite analog mono-synth...I still discover new things about it. Also, lovely MS20 Blackboard edition! Wonder how many of those are still around in working order?

1.) I’m surprised I actually learned something new about the MS-20
2.) I do not mathematically understand why the feedback is causing oscillation.
3.) while making this patch on the MS-20ex I discovered that summing the signal with something else actually eats the other signal??
4.) on the Ex I can keytrack the BPF to make a tuned oscillator.
Very cool but I don’t get any sound when I try in the ms-20 mini… am I doing something wrong?
I figured it out had to bring up low cut freq and fiddle with the high cut freq too

Correct. However I can keytrack with the MS-20ex engine in the Kronos. I’m sure I’ll do a video on it sometime.

This patch works as a signal flow but the results most users will get at home will not sound like this. I might need to do a video of this same patch as an example.

I think they were a very limited run that mostly went to Japanese universities .
I guess this patch does not work with the ms-20 mini?

actually nvm, i was able to get it working by adjusting the low and high cut filters in the signal path

That was my initial reaction when I tried it on my MS-20 Mini. However, try nearly maxing the Signal Level and then play with the High Cut and Low Cut Freq knobs on the ESP and you should start picking up some resonance. You're right, you don't hear a damn thing with High Cut and Low Cut at 0 as in the demo.
Collider Meister It works fine when you just adjust the signal level, low cut freq and high cut freq knobs
@@RayZappa that also could mean that the filter got an extremely low starting point like 5Hz where you wouldnt hear anything if self resonating
Keep tweeking until you find the sweet spot of signal, i've struggle a little bit in ther begining

Ms-20 will always have that hiss or noise... can be a good thing, but it gets annoying after some years.
