You must be the calmest person on this planet! This is incredibly relaxing to watch! I hope it's as peaceful to quilt as it is to watch. You are very talented... Thank you for sharing!

I just started a quilt on this order but I have paisleys and little hooks some loopy meandering and my feathers aren’t as big as yours. I wish I had seen this video before I got the first row done. I don’t think I can weave this in now maybe I can I have a long ways to go. I love your quilting so much. There’s just really nothing that compares.

Absolutely lovely free motion work! I am just starting my journey. I purchased my longarm machine a week ago and can't wait for it to arrive. Love your videos and love your work. You're an extremely talented individual.

So satisfying and relaxing to watch. Slightly softer music. Am at the early stages of racking/stacking long arms before I jump in. Thank you for sharing your skills and passion.

Amazing...beautiful yet simple and elegant. I think you had a lot of fun quilting this, didn't you? Thanks for another wonderful video. I am so mesmerized by your quilting I often don't even "hear" the music in the background, but when I am aware I like your choice of music. Have a great day!

Love to watch you quilt! When I did freemotion quilting on my domestic machine, my feathers looked very nice. I have a longarm now and I cannot make my feathers look as good.

You just need to find the right kind of feather :) for me the bump back are my favorite! I love this kind too for certain designs like this. Thank you!!

Adria, any chance you have pictures of this completed quilt posted? I am interested in viewing how you treat the edges. I would also like to know if you have a vision of the total quilting before you start or do you just design as you go. Love to see you start one pass and then start the second pass. You make it look so very easy and I know that you have hours of work getting to where you are. Beautiful work as always. I love the smooth curves and flow of all of your work. You should be very proud. Thanks for your videos.

Thank you! You can find my business page on facebook. I post final pics there. I just picked 4 shapes to repeat. Feather, swirl and 2 flowers. I'll try to post a future video about advancing the quilt and continuing the design:) thx again !

You do such beautiful work. How long have you been quilting?

  • @sewwhatsister

Your videos are perfect! Your filming makes it feel like I am actually doing the quilting! I learn so much by visual...so just watching over & over almost trains my brain! You just gave me more confidence to do more free motion instead of E2E all the time. One question, did you baste BOTH sides or just one? The end of the video looked like that side was not basted. If so, does it keep from puckering? Thank You!

For hand guided you are very good, such a pretty pattern. Can you tell me what speed you work on. If I have my machine going slow I don't get the smooth lines, but when I have it going faster I find it harder to work out where I need to go. Any tips please?

I'm working in unregulated mode. About 45 manual mode. I've been longarm quilting for about 12 yrs now. A lot of it is just practice, repetition ...

What do you set your stitch speed to? I assume you are not using a stitch regular, right? I love to watch you quilt as it is very relaxing. Your music is appropriate.

I’ve been doing some long arm for about a year- work and have a house to care for so do maybe an hour a day on average. I have improved, but finally realize that if I can’t “see” the design in my head I won’t be able to do it. That feels like a break through or “milestone” _ any thoughts? on how you evolved? I know practice, practice, practice ...

I started out with simple all over designs. Loops, meander. Then loops with a leaf. Loops leaf and simple flower. Or swirl with loops and stars. Simple things that I could travel with pretty easily. Took me a long time to find the right feather that really clicked with me. Eventually just kept adding more difficult designs. I did a lot of drawing on paper. Practiced filling the whole page. I would hold a pencil with both hands in front if me and move it almost like you are holding onto the machine to help with muscle memory :) I have quite a few simple design videos!!

I love the pattern. I like just the sound of the machine as the music is very distracting to me.

Marilyn W I ended up muting it as music was too loud and 7 min of it got old fast otherwise I liked the video.
